Drink specials at The Copper Lounge, Albuquerque

Definite higher end drinking establishment here and if they don't have a dress code, I'd be surprised. I was wearing a collared shirt so no worries. On this Friday evening, we arrived without a reservation but there were seats at the bar. So the bar it is. The lighting here is kept quite low. Our bartender was friendly, helpful for suggestions of what we need to eat in the ABQ. Just a general vibe of quiet and intimate here. My Old Fashioned was perfect. I was in town for work and found myself out of options for late-night food near my hotel when I got done. However, during a quick Yelp search, I came across the Copper Lounge and found myself a new favorite restaurant! The moment I walked in I got an old timey speakeasy vibe. The entrance is unassuming with a huge cool door off to the back of a non we'll lit room that says "shhh." Such fun intrigue! Once inside I was transported to a Gatsby-eque error with checkered black-and-white tile and bright metal star ceiling lights. Stunning! When I walked in, it must have been late enough that they let me sit wherever I wanted. I noticed they have reservations on Resy, so that it always an option, too. The bartender and server were super nice and welcoming. My server helped me through the dinning experience and she gave me all fabulous suggestions' During my dinner, I had two drinks: the Kentucky Ninja and the Indian Army. From whiskey to gin...they were both so different and both so delicious. Crafted with delightful and creative flavors, I couldn't pick a favorite. When I go back, I'll have to get both! For food, I started with 3 Bistec tacos. Oh my goodness they were perfect: crispy, bursting with flavor, and great portions. However, the food, drink, and atmosphere were so great, I decided to get more. I went ahead and ordered the pork lumpia. I'm so glad that I did. So crunchy, savory, and filling! I ended the night full, but not unpleasantly. I had a fabulous dinning experience at the Copper Lounge and I will definitely prioritize it the next time I am Albuquerque! Be sure to check it out if you haven't already!

A surprisingly delightful offerings of unique drinks. We had the Rose, Talasi, Itzamara and The Kentucky Ninja. The service was a little slow to start at first. We were going for one round but we opted for a second because we were so impressed with the first!

Drinks are really great and unique, but I recommend only coming for drinks. Food + drinks + appetizers = a little overpriced. Wonderful ambiance. Highly recommend trying the tropicalia, Indian army, and copper cocktail!

I had such a great impression from the last time I came here with my hubby that I couldn't wait to show it off. I brought my sister and my friend and they absolutely loved it! They loved the 20's Gatsby's vibe the lounge gives. The bartenders sure know how to make delicious drinks and the service is on point. We shared the fries, nachos, and the skewers. The dishes were so good we left nothing behind. Two tips- 1-Their food menu is small, but delicious and has a good assortment. 2- They changed their hours so FYI they don't open until 5pm and are closed on Sundays.

Look here. The man behind the bar (Dimtri) knows how to make an excellent Boulevardier and Jungle Bird. The man is knowledgable and is honestly a man who cares what he puts out. I recommended him without a doubt.

Delicious appetizers and drinks. The lumpia and fried cheese were so delicious! Our server was sweet and attentive and very personable, I loved the vibe with the new and updated decor! A great spot to make some great memories!

Pulling into the parking lot, filled with pick up trucks, I was totally prepared to be walking into a dive bar. Having flown from Detroit earlier in the afternoon, I was starving and at 9 PM on a Monday, the options were limited. Imagine my surprise when I walked into an elegant dining room with lush booths, a gorgeous bar and an elegant décor reminiscent of to roaring 20's. A speakeasy vibe with a lot of glam. And a total sausage fest, if you can call the 2 or three groups of guys at the bar totaling all of 7 people other than my friend and I a "fest" of any kind. We order their take on a Paloma, a smoking, slightly spicy version that I didn't love but also didn't hate. There were hints of what tasted like ginger to me, which is not something I typically love. For nourishment we split the Copper burger and the nachos and I have to say they both hit the spot. I then ordered a dirty martini and my friend got a glass of bubbles. My only issue was that mine didn't come in a classic martini glass, but they had them and her bubbles came in a wine glass, not a coupe or a flute which would have been more on brand for the vibe of this place. It was really, really quiet on a Monday night but our server was really friendly and gave us some ideas of things to check out around town. She didn't make us feel rushed but at the end, when we were ready to cash out, we ended up going to the bar to take care of our bill. The entrance is in the corner of the parking lot, not street side and it isn't very clear where to go which may be intentional but also lent to a feeling of it being unsafe. Overall, I would recommend checking it out.

It's the kind of spot that's perfect for a date night, girls' night, or just wanting to feel a little fancy for the evening. Now let's talk drinks--because WOW. Every cocktail feels like a work of art. Beautiful presentation, unique flavor combinations, and clearly crafted with serious attention to detail. One thing to know: reservations are definitely recommended since it's a smaller, more exclusive space, but honestly, that just makes it feel even more special and intentional. Overall, Teddy Roe's isn't just a bar--it's an experience. If you're looking for somewhere unique, a little mysterious, and full of personality, this place absolutely delivers. I'm not going to give away the trick to it but it was fun. Once inside we got our spot that we held. I didn't see a drink on their menu that I liked that was rum based, so I asked the kind bartender if they could make me one. I only asked that it be alcohol forward, but that I was good if it was a more fruity drink too. They brought me a concoction that was perfect. It's a real nice place. The ornate ceiling and the beautiful bar added to the regal vibes of the place. I would definite recommend Teddy's; it's one of the best speakeasies in town.

Upon entering, I was delighted by the marvelous decor and ambiance... terrific artwork and well appointed with tropics-themed cane furnishings. Very romantic and chic. Also, very dark. The lighting was so dim we had to illuminate the menu with the ol phone flashlight. How glamorous! Well, it was also nearly too dim to eat by. Admittedly, middle aged eyes are less keen than youthful ones, and yet... truly, I will go back in daylight hours next time, when the gorgeous skylights can compensate for the scanty lighting. The server was prompt and perfectly modest in zeal and conversation. He saw to it that we received our order in appropriate time. Now, this is a tequila and mescal place, but I ordered from the specialty Michelada list, a cucumber lime version that sounded divine. I do love a Michelada, but sadly, this one was so abundantly salted that I couldn't finish it. (And I'll finish most beverages.) Very big disappointment. I'm sure any number of drinks on the menu are fabulous, but I can't recommend this one. I ordered the tuna tostada, and my husband got the birra nachos. The tostada had fresh tomatoes and cilantro, and the fish was very good and fresh (poke style). The seasoning left something to be desired, though. It was spicy enough, but I do wish there'd been salt and pepper shakers on the table. My guacamole-averse husband gave me the spoonful from his nachos, so that livened it up. As for the nachos, he seemed to approve. It was mostly cheese and meat (minus the spoonful of guac), but he said more ample tomatoes and jalapeños would have overpowered it anyway. I'd describe my food as that sort of high-society modest flavor - minimalist seasonings in favor of purist flavor from the base ingredients. Indeed not comfort food, but great for a lighter mouth and tummy feel. All in all, the flavor experience was so-so. However, the atmosphere is super solid. For that, I'd go back and try something new. During daylight hours, that is.

The second was definitely more my preference because it was fruity and sweet but also had some smokiness from the Mezcal. The nachos were absolutely amazing. I will be back for those alone. We tried the Al Pastor and seriously they were the best nachos I've had in a long time. I do wish they would expand their cocktail menu just a little bit.
