Breakfast on the patio!
Mia M.

Brekki Brekki is consistently fantastic. I have been utilizing their patio sooo much during my maternity leave to bring the new baby to a place that's shaded, quick service and large enough to navigate the stroller. As you can tell my priorities have shifted a bit when dinning out with my new little guy! Their food is top notch, I started to explore more of the menu and I have never been disappointed!

We came here from out of town on Memorial Day and waited maybe 15 minutes for a table with no reservation! We were able to order drinks at the bar and wait in the backyard of the restaurant until our table was ready. Absolutely loved the mimosa and espresso martini flights! Thank you guys for also having plant based options. Super cute inside as well!

Bottom line is the food is fine and service just ok. My daughter and I wanted to try something new. We heard great reviews but were disappointed today. I had a hash skillet with sausage and my daughter had the crab cake Benedict. The food was ok. The poached egg was over cooked and not runny. My skillet was fine but it was not hot. I could even touch the skillet. Our food was not hot. You can see the cheese melted then hardened from sitting. In addition the food was dry. My skillet came with an English muffin with no butter or jelly. I had to ask and they gave me 2 packets of strawberry jelly. I was disappointed they didn't offer or give me any choice. The service was just ok. They were quick to take our order and bring the food but didn't offer to refill our drinks or even water. It cost too much for what you get, mediocre food & service.

Our first time here was awesome! The decor is super cute and modern, the waitstaff was all amazing and efficient. Everyone really enjoyed our food. The steak n the hash skillets was tender and amazing, the green chili was delicious. The potatoes could have used a little extra seasoning. The pancakes were good, I was expecting more cheesecake filling on my strawberry cheesecake pancakes. Overall, it was a great experience and we are excited to come back!

I tried the traditional rolled pancakes and tacked on eggs and sausage - so perfect. It was the perfect filling breakfast and the spot was so cute!!

Love this place. Super chill environment with great food. Our server, Memphis, was awesome and suggested the best chai!

Had a great first experience at Brekki Brekki. Went with a couple friends and their two kids (2 and 1). Went Friday morning at 9 and get seated right way, kiddos were given crayons and a coloring page. Ordered lots of food. I got heuvos rancheros with avocado. Friends got the brisket Benedict, chilaquiles and the strawberry cheesecake pancakes. Everything was delicious, big portions and served hot. The chilaquiles was especially huge. I also tried the pancakes, not normally a fan of cheese cake things, but they were really good. The decor is a lot, but fun for the kids to point out the flowers and decorations. They also brew their own beer!

Wonderfully festive Labor Day crowd. Ramona -our server- worked crazy hard to serve our table outside under the canopy. The Strawberry crepe filled with fresh cream and fresh strawberries doused with fresh maple syrup made our Labor Day morning great ! Despite a large crowd service was quick and efficient One of the most varied menus in Albuquerque and the east side location is close to hiking on La Luz trail ! Please try this fine, fine place!

Protein Hash Skillet

Everything is decent here. I don't want to steer you away from going here because what I've had here is decent. There are just a few little details that make it feel the same as the little bit of dissatisfaction you feel when eating frozen yogurt instead of ice cream. Today I had the Traditional Buttermilk Crepe Pancakes and they are as light and fluffy as you would hope if you're a crepe lover. Though they were soaked, bathing in maple syrup which made them much sweeter than I initially anticipated. So maybe they can use less syrup? On other visits I've had a few of their hashes, fried chicken, veggie, and the protein one. They've been all right, too, but the protein one and the fried chicken started to taste too salty after several bites. I think a couple of things they can do to improve these is to reduce the amount of salt and to give you a smaller portion of the hash and then add two sides to the plate, like fruit, and something else. Hopefully Brekki Brekki will consider these ideas and improve these dishes.

I think I was expecting more flavor from a place with so much decorative stuff everywhere and the reviews. The place is cute. The waiting area outside in the courtyard was an excellent shaded place to wait. And to be fair- they got our party of 4 seated within 15 minutes on a Sunday. The lost me on my order however. I got the protein hash and the brisket for my protein. Brisket had no flavor. The red chili also, the green had a small bite. I asked for Tabasco to get any real flavor though. I was also a tad confused because I thought mine came with 3 eggs for the menu but I got 2 eggs with my meal (I can't verify since the online menu is different than the printed menu). But I left feeling hungry and let down. The service was great though. Very kind server. Undecided if I'll go again

Bacon Omelette

Went for brunch with friends and had a fantastic meal, I had the omelette with bacon, a Bloody Mary and coffee. The omelette was cheesy and delicious! The service was fast and friendly, our waitresses were attentive and constantly had refills on hand for us. It was a great experience and we will definitely add it to our go-tos for brunch spots!

Bad thing is there is usually always a wait. Good thing is the employees and management are always very helpful. Food so far has been pretty good but expect to be an adjustment from your Norman New Mexican cuisine. Place has patio and outdoor seating and a sit down bar so plenty of seating options. Overall my family likes the place so that works for me. Try it out and judge for yourself. Plenty of options.

The parking is a bit crazy, they do have someone trying to help direct traffic through the parking lot. If you don't want to brave that though, there's plenty of street parking. It's busy but there's a lot of indoor and outdoor seating and the turnover pace is pretty good. Things can be a bit loud if you hit the crowded times, but really it's a popular spot for good reason. I got the sweet potato hash and it had the perfect mix of veggies and eggs and was cooked just right. I also tried one of their tea blends and it really hit the spot. The staff is all very friendly and helpful as well and the food comes out quickly. Anyway, great experience as always at the Grove!

Good balance of tuna, celery, and bread ratio, but I didn't dig the olives in it. There's a mini kale salad that comes with entrees, and it was healthy and palatable for kale. We did end up balancing that green with the pistachio cruffin and pistachio chocolate chip cookie. Would definitely go back for the cruffin with its flaky layers and luscious pastry cream. Cookie was less impressive but still worth the impulse buy. Indoor and breezy outdoor seating available. Highly recommend!

The area looks old and poor, but near the restaurant, we didn't see anything sketchy. When we were leaving, we did see some homeless people at the main intersection, but we didn't see anything we'd describe as sketchy. We did notice there is a mobile home park behind the restaurant, but there is a wall between the mobile home park and the restaurant parking lot. Even if there were police surrounding the mobile home park, we'd still venture inside to eat. The food is that good. We shared the cowboy breakfast burrito and the Santa Fe pancakes. Both were filling and ridiculously good. The Santa Fe pancakes made with blue corn, roasted piñons, green chili, and cheddar jack cheese were different than anything else we've ever had. I'll admit I didn't love my first bite or two, but the more I ate, the more I wanted. The pancakes are dry, but if you drizzle some syrup, it's the perfect match. The accompanying eggs and bacon were cooked perfectly. The cowboy breakfast burrito is massive, filling, and worth every calorie. Even though we were stuffed, we had to get the peach with green chile turnover. We asked if the turnover is served warm and our waitress replied that she could warm it up for is. I'm not sure that it is normally served warm, but I highly recommend it. The turnover flaky, the glaze was silky once warmed up and the peach with green chile was unique and delicious. Five star service and food. I highly recommend Vick's Vittles and hope that I'm in the area again so I can try more of this delicious food.

Our waitress did come back to bring the coffee. Before she got there we were discussing the fact that the entire staff was new. She must have overheard us and took it as some kind of slight to her. Two minutes later the manager came over to inform us that we were being rude to her server and that she would be taking over our service. After some discussion my wife said, "this is ridiculous, guess we won't be coming here again" the manager said "well I'll cancel your order and you can leave now". We said we didnt want her to cancel our order and she just said have a nice day. So we left. Sooo not the Vicks Vittles of the past.

The person who…read moreanswered was incredibly helpful and patiently explained that only the name had changed, which I appreciated. For our meal, we ordered two Chicken & Waffles plates, a Blue Corn Lavender Waffle, and a kids' plate. The Chicken & Waffles were the highlight of the meal, offering a satisfying balance of sweet and savory flavors. The Blue Corn Lavender Waffle was a unique touch and a fun way to try something distinctly New Mexican. Neither my wife nor I cared for the drip coffee, so we asked a staff member if we could swap it out for double espressos. They were happy to accommodate us, and the espresso was a significant improvement. The service was friendly, and the staff made a positive first impression from the phone call all the way through our visit. For our family, the total came to about $80, which felt a little steep. We ended up eating inside since the patio tables were either occupied or unavailable (due to a sleeping homeless person). The restaurant is housed in a renovated older home, and they've done a nice job making the most of the space. One of my favorite touches was the collection of retro waffle makers displayed along the walls, which added a fun, nostalgic charm to the atmosphere. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I'd happily return to explore more of the menu.

The blue corn is just a tinge sweet so was an interesting mix. The waffle is a decent size but is super filling and dense. I'll have to try some sweet waffles or some different waffle bases next time! That said there are lots of gluten free options as well, so if that's for you, then don't hesitate to come check it out you won't be disappointed. There is indoor and outdoor seating, though in general the place is small-ish and can get crowded during busy times. Parking is also a bit of an adventure, but so is anywhere in that area. The staff is super friendly as well. All in all a great experience and I will be back. I can't believe it took me so long to get here in the first place!
