This was my second gluten feee meal out and was relieved to know they are a dedicated gluten free kitchen (* I do not have celiac disease, so I cannot speak on behalf of the Celiac community). When I walked there I noticed it was pet friendly and it had options of the pups I love sweet potatoes but i never ask for those with my meals and they had a half fries/half sweet potatoes option that was perfect for someone like me Everything felt fresh and local. Was hosting out of town guests and they wanted a green chile cheeseburger, so I explored Yelp for nearby recommendations. Grassburger had consistent good reviews so off we went. While the burger was good, it wasn't the best GCCB in ABQ, we should have just driven to Laguna Burger. Like most 'fast food burgers' the meat is overcooked bordering on dry and tasteless. Good burger fast service and crispy fries what more can you ask for from a burger place. We enjoyed eating the mixed fries which is not on their menu anymore but ask for it and they will still do a mix of regular and sweet potatoe fries. Additional toppings are a bit expensive and wish they offered a bigger burger instead of getting an extra patty. I would have preferred a 1/3 or 1/2 patty to fill me up. They also had beer for sale which is a step up from your typical burger joint in town. They had interesting soft drinks and worth a try. Best burger I've had in awhile, mostly because the patty was super good. But so was everything else. I ordered a Grassburger which is just a standard burger and it was great. The toppings were all really fresh and the fries were fantastic. The thick cut onion slices are really the way to go. I also got a chocolate shake. In the future, I'll skip the shake though. It was huge, I would have been happy with 1/4 the size shake. It was really great for dipping fries in, yum. Everything came out really fast but they weren't very busy. For the most part, we were the only ones on the patio until right before we finished up and left. They have a great patio and last night the weather was absolutely perfect. I have lived here now for about 20 months and I have been so extremely disappointed in all of the $13 - $18 burgers that I have had at various locations. I thought, I'd never find a really good burger anywhere. I gave it a try. The CHEDDAR BURGER for $8 = a "Grassburger + cheddar cheese. 1/4 LB smashed 100% USA grass-fed beef patty served on a GMO-free potato bun with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles and our signature chipotle mayo". The staff was great and helpful. The ingredients were fresh and delicious. I had the bacon cheeseburger and my husband had the green Chile burger. The fries are delicious. I had the mix of regular and sweet potato. Everything was great. Pricey... but fresh ingredients have a price that I'm willing to pay. Like I said, it was a to-go order, but they are practicing social distancing in their dining room and have great patio space. Everything was clean and tidy. Wow. Absolutely can not recommend this place enough!!! At first I didn't try it because I thought it was only a vegan / vegetarian joint but I was wrong. They also serve grass fed beef and I can say it's one of the nest burgers I have ever consumed. Fast service too. I get the green chile jack bowl and it's the same thing as the green chile jack burger, but in a bowl like a salad from of a burger. Just incredible. The place was packed on a Saturday afternoon when we were there for lunch with family. The place reminded us of BurgerFi in Trinity, FL as menu and seating are similar: burgers are grass fed, a bean burger is available for vegetarians, and they have a self serve drink dispenser. Mushroom Swiss cheese burger was very, very tasty with rich umami flavor. While the meat patty was not particularly generous in size, being a bit thinner than a ravenous carnivore might prefer, the grilling had packed it with huge flavor punch. Mushrooms were typical in taste, but there were plenty of them tucked into the bun, so that was nice. Swiss cheese slab checked off the thick & gooey boxes with gusto. A tomato slice or two, a couple raw white onion rings, & lettuce made their appearance, but definitely as second string players. The MCM (meat, cheese, mushroom) trifecta were definitely the major players. Sandwich bun was substantial enough to handle the relatively dense, gooey, crunchy filling load no problem. It all added up to a filling portion. Zuberfizz Cream Soda was wet, sweet, creamy texture, good flavor profile, and at $2.50 for the bottle not particularly expensive. I'd easily order it again. Dining partner, who has very narrow window of foods that don't mess her up, raved on & on about how tasty her turkey burger on gluten free bread was. She was pretty much dancing in place in her chair she was so thrilled with it. Kudos to Grassburger for having so many clean food options for those operating under tight dietary restrictions. Premises were clean for our dining inside on a chilly blustery day. Staff was friendly & professional. We got out the door at the lower edge of my $10-$15 per person lunch pricing window. So I was greatly pleased at the high quality:price ratio for such flavorful food. Hands down the best burger place in town! The meat is grilled to perfection, the buns are buttery and lightly toasted, the toppings are always fresh. I usually get the mushroom Swiss burger, but I've had others, and they're all good! The counter service is always prompt and friendly. The place even has a cute little play area for small kids. The only thing I haven't been impressed with are the unusual flavors of sodas they have. But I'm normally not a soda drinker so maybe I'm skewed. I would appreciate some varieties of iced tea flavors, if you're listening grassburger! Make sure you ask for some of their chipotle mayo on the side for dipping your fries.
