Tried Flatiron tonight and had a great experience! While the menu isn't marked with gluten-free options, our server was incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly about what dishes were--or could be--made gluten free. I had the chicken wings and French fries, and was happy to learn they have a dedicated (no gluten items) fryer (a rare find in Albuquerque!). The food was delicious, and I'll definitely be back!

"Better than You".. I knew the second that I layed my eyes on yours That I was gone.. If there was ever gonna be someone that does me in I knew right then You were the one.. Ain't nothing like it I've found.. We found "Flatiron Bites/Brew" tucked in a strip mall on the upper Eastside... We settled there for a late lunch. We found a comfortable round high top near a window. Our Server Lydiana, was pleasantly engaging..:) The Lass ate a "Flatiron Prime Steak" The Steak was perfectly cooked Rare. The accompaniments of mashed potatoes and calabacitas, both were good too. Washed down w. a nice glass of Red Wine. The Lad ate a "Mushroom Swiss Craftburger" it was juicy and favourful. Just slightly overdone, (As Bobby Flay once said "Med. Rare" is pink in the middle w. a warm centre..:), w. House Made Potato Chips yum. Washed down w. a glass of "Peanutbutter Port Beer". This was a Fun lunch stop for my "Birthday Girl"..:) I wasn't looking for anything thought I was done With love and broken hearts But somehow I found everything found all I need With you Wrapped in your arms You pulling me in close.. Yeah if this ain't forever I ain't ever finding Better than you..:) Best, Avram Nicholsbosko Jr.

It's been almost a year since I was here. Not disappointed again. Leah our waitress was very good. Attentive, not overbearing, and made sure our food was tasty. The avocado bacon yardbird, the green chile club and the green chili fries were all delicious. All their sauces and dressings are made in house. It was a nice touch that the corner was filled with games, very kid friendly.

At lunch, we were looking for something we haven't tried before. Flatiron showed on Yelp and it was close. The decor was nice, a bit on the dark, sports bar side, but the big windows gave enough light for lunch hour. The bartender and waiters were very attentive and friendly. For appetizers, our server said we counldn't go wrong with chile cheese fries. Even though they looked good, they lacked flavor and spice. We ordered the Avocado Bacon Cheeseburger with green chile and the House Apple Coleslaw. The burger patty was thick and juicy. It was mostly at medium temperature. The portion of avocado was quite impressive. However, just like the fries, the burger had very little flavor. The coleslaw was interesting but was quite heavy on the cinnamon. Truly, the service, portions, and look of the food could have made this experience a good one, but unfortunately it disappointed in flavor.

We decided to come to this place on a Sunday and it was such a good choice. Flatiron is located by Cliffs and the Albuquerque Great Academy. This place is more than just a brewery as the food is amazing. There are a lot of seating options and a football game was on the screen. The staff was friendly and helpful as well as just pleasant to be around. We got a beer, Diet Coke, NM Bacon Yard Bird, house made chips, Calabacitas, and the Chicken Salad Sandwich. The food was delicious and the house made chips were my favorite. All together it was around $50 for two people.

Do not sleep on this place! It's in a weird location but once inside, you are glad you found it. Excellent food, drinks, decor, and music! Our server Lydian's was so friendly and engaging. #keepitlocal is easy with a place like Flatiron.

I think this place is fairly new because they didn't have a real sign up. It has a pretty cool feel on the inside and the service was great. My wife had the fry bread tacos and she said it was delicious. Beware it's a lot of food. I had a border with the Cole slaw and that was delicious. Definitely will go back and try again

Such a good place for getting good pub/bar style food and drinks! We went to go watch a football game. They also had a live band show up later on to play. The food was really great and server was very attentive. They have a good draft beer selection and also do cocktails but we only tried the beer. We tried the pale ale and IPA, both very good. For appetizers we got the green chile cheese fries. These are probably the best cheese fries I have ever had. They were so good, nicely seasoned and the queso flavor with green chile was amazing. Enough to cover all the fries. For food, we did the BBQ burger with bacon and the prime rib sandwich with au jus. These were both very good, especially the sandwich. The bread was so soft and the flavor of all the things combined after dipping in au jus was 10/10.

Best burger in Albuquerque!!!! Fresh and juicy. The ambience was perfect and the owner Jesse came by my husband ordered the bbq burger with pineapple and wow! We will be back for sure. I would give it 10 stars.

This is my second visit to this business; first time I just was there for a beverage and to listen to music. This time I dined. The outside decor is minimalist; in fact it is my opinion it can be a bit hard to find this place for your first time. Decor is relaxed and comfortable. I went to the Sunday evening jazz performance and jam session and had food. Wait staff friendly and accommodating. Menu is not extensive, but has several nice choices. I had steak with side of mashed potatoes and squash. Cooked exactly as ordered, and was out of the kitchen in good time. Crowd for the jams is pleasant and supportive; they know their music and applaud well done breaks. I add a star for places that support live music.

Zéma Vinyl Lounge (Inside Hotel Zazz)…read more Absolutely loved this hidden speakeasy! Located inside Hotel Zazz, Zéma Vinyl Lounge feels like a secret. To enter, you tap a banana sculpture three times in the hotel lobby and a hidden door opens -- such a fun and unique way to start the night. Inside, the vibe is intimate and stylish, with high-end vintage audio gear Macintosh receivers and vinyl playing moody lighting, and a super clean art deco-inspired restroom. The bartender was friendly, the drink I ordered was fantastic, and the whole experience felt like stepping into a curated piece of the past. It's cozy, creative, and executed with care. Hotel Zazz (Same Property) Unfortunately, the hotel experience didn't live up to the lounge. The room had issues: the fridge didn't work, the sink was clogged with hair and candy, and I had to unclog it myself. Cleanliness was below even basic motel standards -- not what I expected given the boutique vibe they're going for. The staff were polite but clearly not trained properly, especially around handling payments. When I checked in, they charged me $12.92 for parking. At checkout, a different staff member realized the lot was empty and tried to refund it, saying I shouldn't have been charged at all -- but instead, they charged me again. Now I've been charged twice, and despite calling twice and leaving messages, no manager has returned my call. It's a shame -- the hotel has so much creative potential, but it's not being managed properly. Zéma Vinyl Lounge: 5 stars. Hotel Zazz: 1 stars. Needs serious attention to staff training, guest communication, and basic cleanliness.

The menus are on a vinyl, to match their theme. And their drink menu is fun. What was disappointing was that 1. we had to wait 25 minutes for a bartender to show up and get our orders, then another long time to get the drinks. After the wait, a second drink was out of the question. 2. This is a vinyl lounge, and even though they had a setup for a DJ, there was no one playing but a speaker. 3. Some or our drinks did not come out with all the "frills" and effects as described on the menu, so we missed part of the experience. I'm not going to give away the trick to it but it was fun. Once inside we got our spot that we held. I didn't see a drink on their menu that I liked that was rum based, so I asked the kind bartender if they could make me one. I only asked that it be alcohol forward, but that I was good if it was a more fruity drink too. They brought me a concoction that was perfect. It's a real nice place. The ornate ceiling and the beautiful bar added to the regal vibes of the place. I would definite recommend Teddy's; it's one of the best speakeasies in town.

Crispy Brussels sprouts had great flavor but way too much cayenne pepper (which adds nothing but heat) my husband ate them but said he would prefer less heat. I had 2 bites and gave up. Baked brie was amazing I loved the granny Smith apples! My husband loved them too. We also got the hummus duo which has dates on it and I used a date in the brie that was fantastic! I'll ask for that next time! It was the bomb. Hummus duo was good the watermelon radish was beautiful on the plate but gave both hummus a bitter flavor. Shrimp and grits. We live in Alabama currently and this was our least favorite dish of the day. Shrimp were cooked well and so were the grits but there was just something else it needed. Parmesan cheese and some onions maybe. Greek salad delicious. The flash fried chick peas made it. We needed more dressing and the wait staff was prompt and sweet about it. Spicy Lime Ceasar was ok till he requested more dressing then it was amazing. I was afraid of ordering it but the dressing wasn't too spicy . White sangria I had was disappointing it was more of a 1995 wine spritzer than a wine infused with citrus which is the very essence of sangria. It was ok and had I ordered a wine spritzer I would say yummo but I ordered sangria. Pork Belly flat bread was the winner of the night the tomato jam made that dish. I would love more on it next time but we will definitely be ordering that dish again! Yes we had a lot of left over food! But I love sampling a menu and this menu has a lot to offer. In a rare turn of events, both kids got the same thing, the Korean chicken bites with the sauce on the side, which was a great decision bc it did have a kick to it. The chicken itself was a bit dry. Both adults also got the pork belly flatbread. I found it a bit unbalanced with too much sauce and not enough other toppings, and the base wasn't as crispy as I prefer. Speaking of crispy, we opted for the appetizer brussel sprouts, and they were a bit chewy and on the not so super crispy side. Service was fine, and glad to have a little break from heavier New Mexican cuisine on this night. Lots of variety on the cocktail and adult beverage menu too.

The bride had a grasshopper yesterday and today she had frizen dirty chai latte both were excellent and she preferred the grasshopper because it was like a Girl Scout thin mint. Yesterday was a mocktail and then a drink with alcohol. They both were outstanding. Today I did a martini flight and the Cacao, the alpine and the one with sandalwood. They are the perfect size for a flight. The Alpine was like a limoncello and is good. The cacao was also good. It wasn't chocolate overload but a true cacao taste. The big surprise was the sandalwood manhattan. What a smooth and dangerous drink. I'm not a fan of a manhattan but wowzer this could get me in trouble. It's so smooth and not too sweet, which is why I don't like manhattans. This by far my favorite place to have a cocktail.
