I got the classic burger and green chile cheese fries. Both were top tier. Recommended!

I stopped by this place with a friend for lunch. I got the Burqueño burger and she got the Classic. We both got fries. If you are looking for a smash burger, this place is great! They offer single or double burger but I think even the single smash burger is enough for a meal. The chopped green chile on the Burqueño was an excellent addition. The fries are gluten free and fried in a separate beef fat fryer, and they have gluten free buns available as well. The milk shakes looked delicious, but I didn't have room to try one. You can either sit in the restaurant or take next door to Boxing Bear Brewing if you want a beer with your burger. I would definitely go here again. The only reason I am giving a 4 instead of a 5 is because the steak fries weren't really crispy. They were fresh and hot from the fryer though, and my friend loved them so might just be my personal preference. Prices are reasonable and there is parking right out front. Definitely worth trying out! read more

We tried this place for the first time on Sunday 2/15. Service was great: however the price of the food compared to what you actually got was not very solid. We got the regular fries, green chile cheese fries, burqueno lettuce wrap burger and the rojo burger. The rojo burger had great flavor but for the price i think i could have gotten more meat on a fast food burger. The lettuce wrap burqueno was barely a burger at all without the bun. The wife was not impressed at all. She also got the regular fries and it was just ok. I got the green chile cheese fries and it was good but enough cheese to plug up an elephant, lol. I think the main thing lacking in all aspects of this place is just quantity for the price you pay. We will most likely not be returning and I think the hype is overrated. We tried this place tonight with a group of five and loved it! We had the classic and burqueno burgers and tried 3 different fries. The highlight fir me was the sweet potato fries with red marshmallow sauce. We greatly appreciate the fries being gluten free and having a gluten free bun available since one in our party has celiac disease. The green chile is a bit hot for me, but everything was good! read more

New burger place in town! The burgers were delicious! Great flavor and a good price! The fries were a disappointment for the amount you get and the price you pay. The flavor of the fries was really good. Sweet potato fries were $5 and the beef fries were $3.75. Everything is ordered separate. If they added more fries there would be no complaints. Returned on 7/3 and tried the Burqueño burger. It was excellent. The green chile has a nice amount of heat and flavor without being too hot or overpowering. Keep it up and I'll keep returning. read more

This was our first visit to this restaurant. The service was good and the food was pretty decent. Both burgers were cooked properly and were hot. The meat could have used a bit of seasoning and more sauce. The fries could have been cooked a bit longer and needed salt. Onion rings were really tasty and awesome texture. Sadly the malted strawberry shake was way too sweet and really soupy. the staff member tried remaking another but the ice cream just wasn't hard enough to produce a firm milkshake. Overall pretty good experience and hoping next visit to be better in the areas needing improvement. read more

Was looking for a place to get dinner and decided to give it a try. Just delicious smash burgers and malts in an era of overpriced fast food. You'll need to wait a good 5 or 10 minutes, and unfortunately no online or over the phone ordering, but if you're not in a hurry why pass it up? Also next door to boxing bear brewery that does not have food, which is a pretty cool place. Interior other than the brewery next door is fairly pleasant, if a bit small. The main thing that's gotten me hooked is the milkshakes taste amazing. Like the old school malts at a real burger joint. Really great quality food for the price. read more

Went with the family excited to see how the Tako Ten burger expansion selection was like. We were impressed with the other burgers on the menu, recommend the SOB with green chile, probably best one in the city. Fries were great, love the beef tallow, and the red chile marshmallow sauce goes great with the sweet potato waffles. Service was quick and all the burgers, fries and shakes turned out excellent. Can't wait to go back to try all the different burgers, glad they expanded. We will my go to for food when at Boxing Bear. read more

We went to eat dinner there in 04/30. My husband and I love trying new places to eat. Especially local eats. The pictures on the website really looked delicious. But when we got the food we ordered it was meh. Nothing really stood out it was pretty basic. I think I was expecting a little more. I had the classic and it was pretty plain, my husband had the Burqueno and it was soggy and fell apart. We also shared the cheese fry's and it was soggy and it looked plain also. I just went to rate my experience over the last couple times. Last time I ordered a burger poorly made. Was great, I ate here when it first open and it was great. But it now has slowly declined. I went today just for fries. No one here no customers nobody to make food quality bad. I got burnt fries they bagged black fries and gave it to me. Single burgers were small, one of our double burgers and fries were so over salted they were inedible and literally threw both away. Went in to order a burger. Cashier told me he couldn't take care of my because they needed to "count the drawer". Told me it would take at least 15 minutes to do so.. Not happy with this at all. If you are a smash burger fan this one is definitely top tier. I ordered the SOB, a smash onion burger. The burger was well seasoned and had great caramelization. Pro move add green chile. We also ordered green chile cheese fries. Steak cut fries loaded with cheese and green chile. Cheese pull extreme. Service was polite and quick. Restaurant was clean and well maintained. read more

Burqueno burgers were cooked to our liking, we also liked the bun. Next time we will order double meat. Fries were crispy but different than what we usually get in other restaurants. If they can duplicate the Tako Ten burgers and fries they'll hit a home run as far as I'm concerned. read more

Burgers were good - they're the burgers from Taco Ten now in its own spot next door. Fries were bad, oily, like the fryer wasn't hot enough. They've made an odd decision to put everything in styrofoam which steams everything. The foil they used at Taco Ten would be better. read more
