If you know where Hot Tamales is, go behind it and hit Upscale Rio! First of all, this place has so many options of what I'd call comfort food and everything is good! They have shakes, desserts, yummy starters, mac and cheese, burgers and much more! What's my favorite thing? So many items are gluten free!! Hallelujah!! Even the burgers can be ordered with a gluten free bun! We also had a super sweet waitress! I had to go gluten free last fall and it really cut down on us eating out as most places have little to no options. Here, MOST things are gluten free!! Like what you may ask? Well, today I had chicken fried chicken, green chile gravy, mashed potatoes and fresh vegetables- a medley of corn, Lima beans ,bell peppers and red onions. They use a gluten free rice flour and the batter on the chicken was crispy and delicious!! They are also super generous with their portions so I took half of my food home and can't wait for dinner! I also had a double chocolate shake and a cold brew. They proudly brew Whispering Bean Coffee which is super tasty! My husband had the Green Chile Chicken Pot Pie and really enjoyed it and ate every bite! My mother in law had the Basic Cheddar Burger with fresh cut fries and raved about it. She also had a Key Lime Pie Shake. No photo of this, sorry! They normally have a gluten free fruit cobbler but they were out. I'll be back to try that for sure! All I know is I found a place that has super tasty gluten free options that I can't find anywhere else. I love you Upscale Rio! I'll be sharing this with all my gluten free friends! See you soon!! XOXO

Burger was cooked well and was filled with flavor! I got the steak fingers after reading reviews and unfortunately they were not good. He walked away as I approached the counter. I was confused as I wasn't aware I had to order on the tablet on the counter. When I began using the tablet I was in search of the new mushroom burger they sent me an email yesterday about. Of course you know it's what I wanted to try. Sadly it wasn't on the menu on the tablet. When I called the employee for help I basically got the vibe he didn't want to be there and he was hesitant to approach. When he did come to the counter I asked about the burger even showed him the email to get told it's not out yet and it was coming soon. I found myself wondering why I even got the email if this was true. Needless to say the food came out really fast. I thought well that's good at least. The presentation was better than the experience. The cheese on the queso fries was pretty skimpy. There were way more fries than cheese which was disappointing. The burger I wasn't a fan of either. It needed more cheese and the stackers sauce tasted strange like it a chipotle sauce it wasn't the same as I recalled. I'm sad to say this is the second location I've had a bad experience with. It's really disappointing because I really loved this place. I guess I'll have to stick to the central food hall because so far that's the only location that hasn't disappointed me like this yet.

I have had a lot of Frito pies a this is one of the best!! Also got a cup of posole. It okay, missing something. Maybe a spice, but it is decent. Too much fat on the pork made the posole very greasy. The sunrise burger is still one of hubby's favorites in the city, and the fries are incredible. I tried the High Point Mac & cheese (green chile mac w/steak sliced on top) and yowza. So much flavor, and the steak was perfectly tender. The restaurant has food nailed. And our server was amazing. Unfortunately, th manager did a poor job estimating how busy they'd be on a Friday night, so the two servers were running ragged. The manager pitched in, but they were playing catch up with the silverware and we had to wait for it when the food arrived. Which, no biggie, but it was a fork when I had steak and my husband had a messy burger. So we right away asked for knives. I pointed out my steak, and the manager got snarky with us like she got it. But then she brought us butter knives. When I got up and went to the bar to ask for a steak knife, her attitude was even faker. I don't abide fake when someone's eyes and mouth clearly say they think you're stupid or annoying or both. As a manager, you learn how to school your face and keep people happy or you don't last in management long. Also, if she miscalculated staffing, then it should have been her job to get into the bathrooms and keep them presentable. They weren't. Paper everywhere, and the walls need some serious touch ups. It's hard for people to trust the food safety if the job-food public areas aren't kept clean and well-maintained, you know? We'll be back because the food IS awesome and we always have an enjoyable meal. But they definitely need to turn an eye toward building upkeep and service.

I've tried some of the burger variations and they're delicious when you'd like a change. Salads are basic and the green chile stew is thin. The worst thing I can say is that one of the cashiers is way too assertive about soliciting tips at the register. Unprofessional, and rude when I finally decided not to tip her. That was a first for me! Especially since everyone else on staff is amazing! So Do give it a try. I've returned many times and am usually happy if I order only my favorite burger! One final note: the wait for a meal can be long at lunchtime, more than 30 minutes for a burger. The patio's gorgeous, though, so if you're socializing and not on a tight schedule, it's worth it!

My boyfriend said his fries weren't bad but nothing to write home about. We both enjoyed our burgers. Now I sent my boyfriend to go do a take out order. For my bacon burger I wanted the burger only, add mayo on the side and add red onion to the burger. When he comes back, I am missing the red onion and the mayo. I had to walk back to the location, stand at the register while being ignored by 4 employees, 3 "cooks" and 1 other employee seemed to be a plain front of house worker/waiter, until another 5th employee comes to the register. I had the take out bag on the counter so they could see I wasn't ordering anything new, just wanted to fix an incorrect order but no one greeted or acknowledged me. No one said one moment either. The girl who came to the register was sweet and asked the cooks for my onion on the side. When she joked with them about not putting onion on my burger the older woman cook blamed a new girl employee for the mistake. I then got 3 thin slices of red onion and the mayo packets and went on my way. I took a screenshot of the online prices for this location for some of the burgers because they are actually incorrect- by $2! Not very nice to see especially if a family is on a trip and let's say only had cash. Just be careful and check your orders and wait until you're IN the restaurant for pricing.
