I really love a Laguna burger. I also love how they offer concessions at the Lobo Football games. I get a Laguna burger every time I'm there. I've been to the 12th street location several times. This was my first visit to the Rio Rancho location. I was surprised to see that it shared a building with a convenience store. However, they had plenty of space for their own seating, and they was even outdoor seating available. The place was clean. I ordered the burger of the month, which was a Green Chile Western Burger. The guy who took my order was friendly, and he even held my number while I used the restroom. Restrooms at the facility wear nice and clean. I enjoyed my burger, although I cannot say I liked it more than the original Laguna burger, but it was something different to try. I saw them dump my hot fries out and salt them. My food was delivered right after the fries were scooped. I enjoyed another Laguna burger, and I would stop at this location again if I'm in the area. read more

We have been here twice and always have a great experience. We have never tried any other Laguna Burgers but this place rocks and Aaron the manager is great! We have tried the Laguna Burger, Jalapeno Popper Burger, Chicken Tenders, and Pulled Pork Fries. All are great and good tasting. I don't know what it is about this place but I absolutely loved it, everything is so great here. I remember the first time going here, the food is amazing the customer service was absolutely spectacular. All around this place is one of my favorite, from the location at Route 66 casino to the one off of the 40 and the one at ladditutes and to the ones I've never been to before. Good burger, as expected at an outlet of Laguna Burger. Not the greatest green chile cheeseburger I've ever had, but solidly good. Prices are what you expect for a half-pound specialty burger by an upscale mass fast food outlet these days. Chile had some piquancy and burger was cooked a little more well than I like but was not dry. It's an order-at-the-counter/tip/they-bring-it-to-you-after-giving-you-a-number place. The woman who took my order was polite and the woman who delivered my food was friendly. Drinks are "get your own from the soda fountain" (they also have shakes). Fries look cut on site and were not crispy enough to tempt me when my friend offered me some of his. The room is weird: it's a gas station - honestly, it's a remarkable gas station - more of a rest stop, with decent rest rooms, all manner of things to eat for sale and a pretty well stocked liquor store. And Rio Rancho Laguna Burger is one corner of it, a couple little pen/corrals staked out with some low and high tables (and there's also a burger bar). Parking is kind of a bear, but you'll find some - it's weird to see a popular (and it IS popular) rest stop right in the middle of a city. Trash (bus yourself, but they do come through and clean every once in a while - not instantly upon a party's departure, though) is convenient but the tables are kinda squashed together; you have to watch out for tripping over your neighbor's chair or the stuff he has piled next to it. So . . . Rio Rancho Laguna Burger is good. It's not great - the room and service are perhaps on the lower side of good, but the burger and its value are solidly good. read more

When you consider the drink prices in the same building are remarkably inflated on your side of the building as well as the excessively priced food. As well as the the people that prepare the orders can't even read the orders and properly execute them. We've ordered twice to go and once in person. The food is good, fairly quick, and they have a lot of options. The burgers are amazing, juicy, and everything you want. The fires are amazing, something about their fresh cut fries is pretty fantastic. They have good lemonade, lots of drink options, and overall the service was great. It's a little odd being at a gas station, but some of the best place I've eaten are at gas stations! It's like a hidden gem. read more

This location doesn't make the breakfast burritos cook to order. Which was a shock and is very problematic. They get put under a heat lamp to rot where the tortilla gets soggy and gross! $8 for essentially a gas station premade warmed up burrito is not worth it! The i40 location is always spot on! Having tried all Laguna Burger locations, I was excited to give them a try! Ordered the Big Bad Bacon Cheddar burger meal and was disappointed in the whole experience! From the long wait times, uncomfortable crammed space, quality of food, and pricing. I would not and could not recommend! Review based on the following: 1. Front menus were difficult to read 2. Self serve drink station was in an inconvenient location in front of line(felt rushed) 3. Long wait time for food 4. Burger was overcooked, dry, and tasteless. Yes, dammit, the best burgers and hotdogs and fries and shakes I've had in a long time are to be found at a little diner joined onto a gas station mini-mart in Rio Rancho. The amazing realization these folks have is that a burger starts with bread. Here, it's fresh, soft and nicely grilled. The patty is properly sized and grilled, the produce fresh, simple and good grilled food. The dogs are even a little better than the burgers, nice soft flavorful rolls that hold up to relish, mustard, onion and green chile. The fries and shakes are simple and good. The servers are pleasant. There is a tiny bit of parking right in front, a little by the the mini-mart entrance by the pumps. Ain't a fancy-pants place, but if your sweetie likes burgers, come on down! PS: I won't rate a place five stars unless it's miracle magic, Conde Nast or Zagat's five stars.
