We tried this place again and we can officially say this is our favorite place to eat on the westside! Great service again, delicious food, and great vibes over the speakers as well! This time we tried the Shrimp Po' Boy, Green Chile Pep Pizza, and of course the chicken strips and Mac N Cheese for the little one. Everything was top notch again!!!! We will be back High Point! Keep doing what you're doing!! Oh yeah, the Chips n Queso is bomb too!

4.5 stars Came here during their closing weekend, as I had always wanted to try this place for the "best mac n'cheese" in town. The location is in an interesting spot and parking was a little tight. I liked the ambiance of the place and open kitchen concept. Staff was helpful and I had placed an order to go that night (which took a little while). I got the regular mac n'cheese ($8.95 and figuring I could save a little bit and add extra toppings of my own later). I also got the pumpkin cobble cake ($14.95), which wasn't quite like I had seen with last year's (with the biscochito crust and the red chile whipped cream). Everything came out hot and delicious. The cake came with a side of ice cream with granola on top. The mac n'cheese while creamy and gooey (and enough for about 3 lunches), I would say it was good, but probably not my #1 choice in town. I'm glad that they are able to reopen under different terms soon.

The green chile Mac and cheese here is really good. I placed an order finally after hearing all the hype. I'd love to come back and try some other Items soon!

When I say WOW, I mean WOOOOOWWW! I went with high expectations and I was absolutely not disappointed! We got there and parking is a bit cramped due to the location, but we were still able to find an open spot. Going inside it is much larger than it looks from the outside. We were sat quickly. And our waitress came over to check on us and take our orders right away. She was very friendly and quick to come when she saw we were ready, but not overly attentive to make us feel rushed. We ordered wings to share, which were the best wings I've had! They were crisp, but not greasy. They were not overly seasoned but a good balance. They were a great size. And man they were delicious! Had also heard amazing things about their burgers. We also ordered a sunrise burger to share and it also was delicious. The meat was fresh and quality tasting. The patty was thick and well seasoned. The bun was toasted perfectly. Best burger! Craving another as I type this! Can't wait to return to try a different flavor of wings as well!

Stopped in for lunch after a little walk. We were seated quickly and got waited pretty fast. My wife had the regular burger with garlic fries and I had the burger that comes with jalapeños. They were both delicious and the fries were very tasty. This will definitely be my go to spot for burgers.

Fantastic grilled burgers, great staff, very helpful and kind, this is a great spot for family and friends to hang out and enjoy each other's company. Small menus done right! This place has what everyone wants, drinks, pizza, tacos and burgers, along with some other great options! We were impressed with the quality of the food, I would personally consider the burgers gourmet, grilled perfection!

High point is so bomb it's incredible. I've gone too many times to count and it has never faltered. The Mac is top tier, but I gotta say they have the best Philly cheese ever. If you are a simpleton who enjoys cheese whiz, this isn't for you. This is elevated- garlicky and toasted. The other standout is the garlic fries, top notch fr. The staff is excellent, and another perk is their water/ soda cups are huge so you don't have to keep asking for refills. Mr. White you are a visionary.

    Carne asada tacos with chips

In Albuquerque and I was encouaged by friends to try High Point Grill for lunch. The reviews stated it was good Italian, Cajun / Creole and sandwiches. We ordered the shrimp po-boy sandwich and carne asada tacos with chips and salsa. The restaurant was fairly busy for the lunch crowd. The shrimp po-boys was packed with little room for all the ingredients and five jumbo shrimp. I would have to say it resembled more of a de- constructed sandwich than a traditional sandwich that was "dressed". It definitely could of used more sauce as it was very dry. The carne asada tacos were good but the stale chips were disappointing. The wait staff was missing in action after the meals were delivered and took 20 minutes to get us the check after she was given the credit card. I will not be returning as I found no effort to make the meal memorable. The food was adequate andservice was poor. High Point needs to focus on their food, service and taking care of the patrons that frequent their establishment.

The food was delicious with great flavor and shareable portions. The staff was friendly, though service could be a bit quicker. The family-friendly ambience was nice, but the space felt a little dark. A helpful tip: ask for condiments with your meal, otherwise you may be waiting a while

Our reservations needed at this place say like on a Thursday night or is it just wide-open? Also is…

Reservations aren't needed, but making them doesn't hurt, especially around holidays. The place isn't usually noisy or rowdy, and I think it would be a nice place for date.

The pierogies were a fun surprise, each one a little different, and all packed with flavor. It's the kind of dish that keeps you engaged with every bite. Then there's the cafe. Oh, the cafe! Hand-made food: pierogi, borscht, "Polish menudo" (a must-try!), gołąbki (stuffed cabbage), schnitzel, and two-fisted sandwiches, including a real authentic Chicago-style hot dog. Speaking of... if you dropped me right into The Loop, I couldn't find a better Italian beef sandwich. Step aside, Portillo's! (IYKYK) Red Rock can be a little tricky to find--turn east off San Mateo at the Prospect stoplight--but it is so worth that momentary bother! It's actually in a good location. Third kind of set up with the little areas like bakery, specialty take out, and more. It's nice but no comparison to say the Pavillions I remember in California. Or even Winco in CA, AZ, NV and more. It's like a partially flushed out concept. Lastly I still don't get who owns what now. This is NOT the CA Albertsons, very confusing, but obviously part of what at one time was Vons as carry their generic brand I think called "organics". We never liked the meat department of Albertsons in CA and I have to say their meat is "meh". Kroeger, sprouts and Whole Foods will be our meat go to. Also the talavera etc pretty high priced. We were just in Colorado and their prices in touristy areas were lower than here. There are things I will go here for but hope they kind of review the design.

I chose the full size italian beef and the other sandwich we got was mostly veggies and mozzarella(I can't remember the name). Even as a big a guy as I am I could have done with the half size, but I did end up eating the second half for dinner. The sandwiches are on soft, delicious hoagie rolls. The italian beef was stuff with beef and gardinera. The juices of the meat and the gardinera leaks into the botoom of your tray and almost makes a french dip like sauce. This place is fantastic!!!

The drinks were, unfortunately, missing a few ounces and flavor. The sandwiches were smaller than I expected. The bagel had a hint of heat and chile. It was perfectly toasted and held the egg and bacon quite well. The bacon was crispy and the egg was well done. It was filling in the end. The baked goods will have to wait until tonight but I've had their scones before and they were excellent! I'm betting on excellence on the tart and cinnamon roll. Overall, this is a nice local coffee shop that can be a great alternative to a chain coffee shop. The space is nice for some work or chatting with friends and family. In fact I'm glad I called and asked if I could taste some their sauces because if I didn't do that then I wouldn't have gotten any sauce! For example the house sauce and spicy ranch I ordered for the salad didn't arrive. The sauces I ordered with the meal were not delivered and the only ones I received were the extra mixture of sauces that the guy on the phone said he usually would have to charge me for but he would comp it. And it turns out he didn't get the sauces that were supposed to come with the meal and those were the only ones I got anyway. I will say this, when I called about this, I got an apology and offer for free items. If I do go back to claim the items I'll let you guys know what the update is like. I think this might be the type of place that you'd want to check your order carefully and only leave once you know you are good to go. I don't recommend doing uber eats from here. I'm being really nice about the review stars because they had a couple sauces that were really good and although the business may not be organized, I think they have really yummy food and the customer service wasn't bad.
