The burgers were fresh cooked and I love all the toppings to choose from. My cheeseburger was "All the way" and my hubby just got mustard, grilled onions, pickles and lettuce. And we shared a large fry. We both got large sodas. It was $40 for 2 burgers, 2 sodas and a large fry. They did fill the bag with fries so we couldn't eat them all. This is one of the more difficult reviews to write if I am honest. I leave remarks based on three things- ambiance, meaning the interior, decor, etc, service, and the food. With all of that, I consider "value." I have been a fan of five stars for a very long time, and because I moved to a place where the closest one is about 20 miles away, I do not go much. Coming back, I decided to go to a favorite, and enjoy a familiar place. And it was- from the stacked potato bags to the peanuts and straightforward menu, it was the same...except the price. Unfortunately, I cannot leave a review and zero stars for the government that has caused the current economic situation, but I know that two people eating burgers, sharing a large fry, and one drink should not be more than $20 per person but it is here. That alone is difficult to understand how to "handicap" the review, and as such, I will not. Ambiance is solid. It is clean, they have the advanced drink dispenser with many flavors, and of course the free peanuts. Service was Ok. Nothing extraordinary or lacking. But just ordinary is a miss at the price point. The burgers were identical to what I remember them to be and were great, but again, at $20 per person, that burger has a lot riding on it to be fair. The fries were exactly as I remember just 3x more expensive. I find myself at a crossroads. It is not a secret that places like Five Guys are at a crossroads of either choosing to be a more expensive option or go for lower costs, and it's clear they are caught directly in the wrong place, but that is a decision they make as a company as opposed to adapting one way or another. And that makes me really sad because it is difficult to see how they will continue operations at the costs. It is really difficult to justify a $20+ hamburger meal, which is unfortunate. This was a solid go-to location for our growing family of five a decade ago, now that would be incredibly expensive. And perhaps this is the wrong forum or type of review meant for Yelp, but I would want to know the honest feedback. Here it is- Ambiance- solid and clean. Easy 5 stars on its own. Service- ordinary. 3 stars. Food- great! 5 stars Value modifier: .65 (it should Have cost 65% of the total of just under $43. 13 stars x .65 / 3= 2.9 stars. Hence 3. Albuquerque has a bunch of burger chains to choose from. Five Guys should be one of the last choices you make. I'm not sure why Five Guys has such a huge presence in culture and media but it really isn't worth it. The base cheeseburger is $11.99. Alone. Not the meal, just the burger. Let that sink in. To make it a meal, you tack on $6. I'm sorry that just isn't right. You can buy a whole ass burger from most other burger places for $6. What on earth makes these fries and a regular soda worth $6. For what it's worth: you do get a good amount of fries and they're the chunky type, not the thin ones you get at most places. But god damn: my meal cost me close to $20 and that's really really hard to stomach at a place that's basically a fast food restaurant. I have no idea how you justify this, especially since places like Chili's has an equivalent with bottomless chips as a side and I think the meal is less than $15. Service is standard, albeit a bit slow. Took a little under 10 minutes to get my meal and I was the only one in the restaurant. The burger itself.... I don't know how to explain it but it feels like it wasn't cooked right. Bottom bun is soggy. Cheese isn't melted properly. Just not what you'd expect out of a burger. Yesterday 3/27/2026 at 6:12 pm store #NM-1039 we visit for the first time. We ordered a hamburger bun less. Hamburger meat and vegetables were flavorless, no seasonings- zero. The wrap which was with lettuces wasn't good neither, perhaps because it was wrapped in aluminum foil. The second order was a cheese burger, meat was dried and insipid. Simple burger place quickly made to order burgers and savory double-fried French fries in peanut oil. Lots of toppings to choose from - only the bacon and the cheese increase the cost of your burger. They have the Coca-Cola Freestyle where you can flavor your soda however you want it. The mobile app makes it easy to order ahead and come in to eat or take-out; just be aware they won't make the fries until you are there so you will have to wait for those, but they'll be fresh. We've been coming to this place since they first opened in Albuquerque years ago. Other Five Guys locations have since opened up, but most take a lot longer to make your food and are often behind, so we prefer this location. Only downside is the price. For what you get it costs more than their competition. It's still worth it if that's what you are craving though. read more

I am certainly biased to this place, I'll start the review off right there. I first fell in love with Five Guys back in Ohio and I am really impressed how well they are able to keep the same taste and atmosphere on the other side of the country. My favorite thing about Five Guys is the unlimited toppings. I get everything in black and a few more toppings in red as well. The burgers are cooked very well and I prefer the slimmer patties that they have. It's always a treat watching me eat this burger because I don't care how messy I get, I just love the burger so much! To top things off they have some amazing fries, but don't get anything bigger than a small because they load you up with fries!
