We spent the night in Albuquerque and I grabbed a breakfast burrito on the way out of town. The service was very fast and the burrito tasted good. Was it $6 good? Probably not - it was on the small side for $6. read more

I went to stripped burritos to get some quick food I was immediately greeted with a attitude and bad service from staff I got my food and I was about to eat in my car when I noticed my order was wrong I ordered a red meat burrito and got something completely different the burrito was a egg and potato burrito and the egg was raw I don't recommend this place and I definitely will never go back. The restaurant did look clean but the table felt sticky. read more

As far as I am concerned, this is the new leader for local burritos. I love that I can get chicharrones! The mate and I split a regular burrito for breakfast. I'm usually a green chili person, but I tried the red recently and it was wonderful and velvety. They are nice and fast and friendly. I am amused that I am prompted to comment about ambience, so I will say this, what a lovely drive-through! read more

Overcooked rubbery chicken. Breading falling off. Fries are super greasy. Sandwhich was the same, not getting the hype on this place. ***Seems like a location thing. Tried new location on coors/i40 and is good. Chicken a little dry but much better. read more

Been here several times for breakfast burritos and they are pretty consistently the best burritos I've tried in Albuquerque area. I drive from Cedar Crest for them since we don't have good burritos in the east mountains. The only negative is that they don't respect the online orders. I just went today and they sat on my online order for 20 minutes while they knocked out the drive through orders. They started my order when I walked in and it took 23 minutes total versus 3 minutes if you just drive through. To add to that, they had 2 people working to rush the drive through window orders and asked me to wait a second standing at the counter. When they got to me they were like ... hmm I don't see your order.. oh here it is... teehee... we'll start it now. Not happy. If it wasn't for the delicious burritos, I would not go back. If it wasn't for the slow online ordering and treating walk ins like second class, it would be 5 stars. read more

So glad we took a chance and stopped here on our road trip! When we arrived, the dining room was closed (drive-through open), but the owner was just leaving and happily let us in to use the bathroom. All the workers were so friendly. Chicken sandwich: SO good! Crispy coating, tender chicken, two tomato slices and amazing spicy sauce on it! Fries: very thin; hot, fresh and crispy! Third best fries I've ever eaten (#1 is Ariana's Kabob and Gyro Bistro, Minneapolis, MN; #2 is Doughbird in Moab) Barbacoa Burrito: very tasty; loved the sauce, potatoes and green chiles; could have used some veggies (maybe I could have asked for some?). I have ordered from this location fairly regularly for a couple years now. When the order is right the burritos are really good. The last 3 times I've ordered from them my order has been messed up every time. I check the receipt and verify what I ordered vs what I got and they just mess it up. Really tired of the lack of attention from this place. Won't be going back anytime soon. read more

I had heard great things about this place and thought I would try it. I ordered the chicharrón burrito and did not care for it. They added scrambled eggs to it and that's what ruined it for me. I am giving 3 stars because the service was fast and friendly and my husband liked their crispy chicken sandwich. He said it was pretty good and would try it again. Next time I go back I'll make sure to try the burrito with no eggs maybe I will like it better. read more

I have been meaning to stop in here forever and finally did. Wow. It should not have taken me so long! I got the egg and cheese burrito in a regular size and some fries. The burrito was HUGE and absolutely delicious. The fries were also the perfect amount of crispy and flavorful. Loved the spicing on those. The green chile in the burrito had a bit of a kick, enough to provide great flavor but not overwhelming. The staff was very friendly and service was super quick. I will be back! Stopped here on a whim wondering what all the fuss is about. We went through the drive through and the staff was friendly, helpful, and I didn't feel rushed. I ordered the "World's Best" Chicken sandwich. It was DELICIOUS. Fried chicken, lettuce tomato, and green chile ranch sauce on a bun. It was hot, fresh, and oh so good. Love the shoe string fries. My husband ordered the sausage burrito smothered with green chile. I had a bite and it was very very good. I'll be returning to give the breakfast burritos a go for myself. This place was awesome and I've been coming here for years, but it's consistently getting worse and the burritos are getting smaller. I think today was my last time going here to this location. It took them 20 minutes to get my burrito and it was the same thing I get all the time a bacon breakfast burrito. When I asked what was going on, I was met with rudeness and hostility. read more

A grade A darn fine burrito ! We tried both the breakfast and the lunch varieties, with and without sauce, and both the red sauce and green sauce. Didn't find any to dislike. If you don't do spicy, get the sauce on the side, the meat is flavorful enough. If you do like the heat, get the green sauce, it is both spicy and delicious. The hubby and I both preferred the flavor. My older daughter ordered the barbacoa, and it was on point. The younger one had the carnitas, delicious. I had the carne adovada, spicy and flavorful, but I will try the carnitas with the green next time. The little crispy papitas are a nice touch for texture. I love that Stripes is on the east side of town so we can enjoy the magnificent breakfast burritos. The staff is peppy and totally welcoming to customers. I cannot say enough how absolutely delicious Stripes chicken sandwich is. The meat itself is massive, then you add the green chile ranch, and you have the perfect combination. I visited Stripes on the first day of 2022. I wanted to try something new to kick off the new year. I've heard so many amazing things about their burritos so I thought this would be a good time to give it a try. It was quite chilly so utilized the drive thru. Two burritos were ordered. A bacon red as well as a sausage red. Mine was the bacon red! They have two sizes, regular and large. We ordered the regulars, which were a perfect size for me, I could actually finish it. The burritos were not really as hot and fresh as I would have preferred. Almost as if they rolled a mass of them earlier in the morning and were just getting through the lot of them. The burrito itself was good. Nothing to boast about unfortunately. Honestly, tasted very similar to another breakfast burrito that I frequently get. Major difference being cheese and size of the potatoes. Overall, a good burrito. Perhaps my next breakfast burrito will actually be fresh. I will have to dry a different variation. read more

One of the best chicken sandwiches in ABQ! Crispy, juicy chicken, fresh lettuce and tomato (which really sets them apart from the competition), and strong pickle presence! The sauce is good as well, and rounds out the overall texture nicely. My only complaints are that there isn't a spicy version, and the bun quality could have been a bit better. Adding a little Louisiana hot sauce makes it tippy top notch, and I would definitely recommend! Overall 4.8/5 read more

Horrible experience! My wife and I always wanted to try this company; and today we had the chance to spontaneously drop in after a day of shopping. First off, the drive thru person had trouble getting our order (just two burritos) right. Then, when we got home, the order was COMPLETELY wrong! Spending $10 per burrito, we were upset! We called and got a response of total disregard! They refused to give a refund and insisted we drive all the way across town for store credit! We had hopes that this company would have more integrity than the jaded, half assed attitude of the world. Sad to see they are nothing better! We abd put family will never go here again! read more

I debated between a 2-3 because you might not get what you pay for! When they make what they repeat back over the speaker- this food rocks. Sadly, this was not the case today. Then when I called to have it remade for late tonight, for my daughter who left for work hungry, they wanted the extra onion and green Chile burrito brought back....I can see showing it- but my other kid will eat it- I am not driving back to somewhere that not only messed up our order- but implied it was my error somehow or worse yet; is willing to waste food! Service: Ok so I have been here several times and we are always met with a smile and extremely kind employees. Even when they are busy they are polite and have their stuff together. Food: so I have had the tacos, and they were delicious. I have had the bacon burrito with red,this is hands down my new favorite breakfast burrito in town! Now let's get to the best part!! The chicken finger basket, holy chicken! This is my new favorite chicken place!! The breading is well seasoned and the chicken isnt dry at all. The dipping sauce that they have for the chicken is a little spicy but really good. Their fries are shoestring style, but super yummy!! I legit think this is my new favorite go to place in town. The burrito was small for 8.00 the meat was seasoned well the tacos were just of for 7.50 after my husband shared 3 tacos and 1 burrito when I got home I had severe diarrhea, and now as I am writing this I am severely nauseous, and am weak before we ate we were both feeling fine, my husband is sick to his stomach as well but not as bad as myself, and this was the only food we ate all day. read more

I then got the fish sandwich, (limited time only for lent) W/ french fries, and a vanilla shake. I also edited a kids cheeseburger and an apple pie. The #1 Whataburger was good and tasty and the onion rings spectacular as always. I was curious about the fish and overall it was tasty with nice crunch. I will say however that it could have used a bit more tartar sauce to make it a great sandwich. The fries were pretty good but a little bit on the sorter side, (I like my fries more crispy or at least close). I tried the kids cheeseburger and it was cold and dry.

I recently had the pleasure of trying a red chili barbacoa burrito from a fast-food chain's drive-thru. Despite being in a hurry and having few customers in line, the burrito was served piping hot and was a good size for a regular meal. While dining in the sun, I couldn't help but appreciate the delicious flavor of the burrito. However, it was disappointing to receive only one napkin for two people to share, which wasn't enough to keep our hands clean. I was looking for a new breakfast burrito spot when I remembered I lived close to Stripes. Since then they have been my go to place, and then one fateful day I decided to expand my horizon and try something else. This is when I discovered their chicken strip meal, since then it's been a struggle to choose between the burrito or the chicken strips. My only complaint is that they close at 8 but they open early so I guess that's fair. read more

The chicken finger basket is great especially with the house dipping sauce which elevates the whole meal. I also use it to dip my fries so you might need extra if you use it for that too. The tacos are actually really good I like the barbacoa best, chipotle chicken second and carnitas last which had the least flavor. Pair these with their red and green salsas to get more kick out of each taco. The home made salsa is great but not spicy just added flavor. I also like the chile cheese fries I had xmas style which was delicious. I plan to make this my go to with any meal. It is a big enough portion for two to share. The breakfast burritos are also good and reasonably priced. The regular size is plenty big for me. I'm not a fan of the bacon bits so I usually opt for the sausage breakfast burrito with red . I have yet tried their lunch burritos but it is on my list for my next visit.
