Wow! I finally stopped in and I was well pleased. Holiday lunch with a great friend. We had planned to go across the street, but alas they were closed. So we chose the Salt and Board. We each had the avocado toast. Crisp buttery bread, topped with beautiful and plentiful slices of avocado, tasty fresh greens and onion, lovely olive oil dressing and d sprinkled with "everything" spices. YUM! Nice decor, spacious, and it was not over crowded when we stopped in. Great for our catch up conversation. Might be more noisy with more folks inside. Nice selection of sandwiches and salad, fresh drinks. Lovely and I can't wait to go back.

Excellent place to have a filling meal! The service was amazing. This place is located off of Central right down the path of Cheba hut, family friendly kids are welcome and the most of all the food is absolutely amazing..

Pretty cozy restaurant and friendly service. The sandwich was very good but it felt like it could have had more on it. Delicious salad dressing on the side salad.

The board had just the perfect amount for 2 and everything was high quality and amazing. Glad we found this place off of the beaten path.

Salt and Board made for an excellent start to nine days of great New Mexico eating. We looked forward to gorging on heavy-duty New Mexican food during our stay in the state (and we ended up doing just that). But after a long travel day featuring crappy airport food, and a significant elevation change, somewhat lighter fare was calling us on this first evening. Salt and Board was only about four blocks from where we staying. I wish it were about four blocks from where we live now. Salt and Board's menu is small and simple, featuring only three salads, a few charcuterie boards, and a handful of "toasts" and pressed sandwiches. We went with the "small" charcuterie board and the root vegetable salad, and it turned out to be plenty of food for two. The board featured just a couple of meats (one a salami style and the other a spicy, smoky one) and a couple of cheeses (one creamy one and one harder and saltier), plus a bacon jam, an apricot mostrada, and mustard, as well as olives and perfectly toasted crostini. (Our server, who was pleasant and helpful throughout our time there, was happy to bring us extra crostini at no extra charge.) It became immediately apparent which cheeses paired best respectively with the jam and mostrada, which were both little bombs of very different flavor. The simple root vegetable salad--heavy on arugula, shaved fennel, and beets--was simple, lightly (i.e., properly) dressed, and showcased the freshness of the ingredients. Nice list of local draft beer. What we sampled--a couple of IPAs and an Oktoberfest--were very good. All of this food and drink plus tax and tip came in at barely $70, which was a great value these days for its high quality. Call it 4.5 stars, rounded up.

Summertime on a humid weekday afternoon. Just taking the day as it is... my girlfriend brought this place up and it proved to be a slam dunk! Located next to UNM, this spot is a necessity! A ton of local beers, a big wine list and epic charcuterie boards. The happy hour is exceptional! They have one everyday along with daily specials. We were lucky enough for half off all wine bottles! We shared a small board (which was plenty for 2) and we split the Cuban sandwich- which comes pressed with a fresh side salad. This proved to be the perfect place for a day date with my boo.

Great place for a date night! Light eats with very artfully arranged charcuterie. The flavor combinations are well thought out and there were some unique components like bacon jam. They also have an extensive wine list and some beer on tap. Service was fast and our waitress was very helpful. Overall a great experience

Went for the first time last week, and had to come back this week! Everything was delicious. Vibe was very chill and service was very knowledgeable and friendly. I love that they had suggested wine pairings because the Chianti we had was perfect. The food was incredible. Not super heavy but so many flavor combinations. Every item felt very intentional. We had a small charcuterie board and I got the burrata toast. I literally saved a slice of the toast for the morning just to extend the experience hahaha and it was good straight out of the fridge! My partner got the Reuben and loved it. Highly recommend!!

Today I came in for a quick bite on my way out of New Mexico. I came here with Thing One and a friend. We ordered a charcuterie board and three sandwiches. Charcuterie Board This board was just great. It had a little bit of this and a little bit of that on it....to include hardy cheese, Jams, olives, and meats. This board included something for everyone at the table. The Vegetarian Sandwich I ordered this sandwich and it was delightful. It included roasted veggies with a garlic aioli spread. The bread was a tad over toasted but still a good sandwich. The Cuban Thing One had this sandwich and was pleased with the hearty meats and cheese on this dish. The Italian I only snapped a quick photo of this dish before my guest could eat this by stopping them by yelling "Hey wait, I need to take a picture of that first". While I didn't get to personally sample this dish, the person who did advised they enjoyed the layers this sandwich provided (as far taste was concerned). This was by far the best meal we had as a group in New Mexico! But be aware the prices on the website don't match the prices on the menu at the location. The prices for most are a dollar to two dollars more in store than listed on the site. #supportlocal

The food was amazing here. The service was good and quick. I really liked the flavor of the cheese. It was also not very busy on the Monday that I went. It felt so relaxing I love the ambiance.

The catch of the day was the mahi with polenta and let me just say that plate was almost licked clean. Hidden Gem in Nobhill Albuquerque…read more I recently visited the restaurant at Mission Winery and had a great experience from start to finish. To start, I ordered the sangria and the crab & artichoke dip. The sangria was on the sweeter side but not overwhelmingly so, making it easy to enjoy with the appetizer. The dip was delicious, creamy, and packed with flavor, although I honestly couldn't taste much artichoke. It was still a great starter, especially paired with the bread. For dinner, I ordered the red chile fried chicken bites with fries. The chicken was the standout of the meal--crispy, flavorful, and coated in a delicious red chile sauce that had just the right amount of kick. The fries were perfectly cooked and paired well with the ketchup. My friend shared the appetizer with me and ordered the Chicken Caesar Salad, which she enjoyed alongside one of the wine tasting flights. The real surprise of the evening came after dinner. Our host handed us a card with a password to access the speakeasy downstairs. If you visit Mission Winery, don't skip this part. The speakeasy had a completely different atmosphere from the restaurant above and quickly became the highlight of the night. The space feels intimate, sophisticated, and thoughtfully designed, with dark wood accents, comfortable seating, and a stylish lounge vibe. My friend and I both ordered espresso martinis, and they were fantastic. The presentation alone was impressive--the unique glassware was chilled and helped keep the cocktail cold longer, allowing us to enjoy it at a relaxed pace. Between the excellent food, wine, creative cocktails, and the hidden speakeasy experience, Mission Winery offers much more than just a typical dinner out. The restaurant was great, but the speakeasy downstairs is what will have me coming back. Recommendation: Start with dinner upstairs, then ask about the speakeasy password and finish your evening downstairs with an espresso martini. It's one of the coolest date night or girls' night experiences I've found in Albuquerque.

You get to pick anything from their menu. We tried a fabulous orange colored wine and the special New mexican green chile wine. I'm not sure if I'd want a whole glass of that - but it was fun to try. This is such a fabulous space.

August 21, 2026 - Old Town, Albuquerque…read more We poked our heads in to ask about outdoor seating since we had our pup with us, and were greeted by a super friendly employee who pointed us toward the patio in front of the building. Dog-friendly seating? Off to a good start. We decided to do some wine tastings and share a charcuterie board. There was a different employee in this part of the winery. My husband mentioned that he couldn't have gluten and asked if there was a gluten-free alternative to the bread/crackers. Imagine my surprise when the board arrived with... tortilla chips. For a place that also specializes in gourmet foods, I was expecting something a little more exciting than chips. Gluten-free crackers, anyone? The wines were nice, and we really enjoyed sitting outside. The only other slight downer was the service. When I went inside for another tasting, I casually asked the server, "How's your day going?" His response: "I'm here." Well... I guess technically that answers the question. Clearly, he was having an off day. It happens, but you can't help but pick up on that energy when you're trying to relax and enjoy some wine. Overall, we had a nice time, enjoyed the patio with our pup, and even bought a bottle of Tighty Whitey White to take home. A couple of little misses, but nothing that would keep us from coming back.

This time I was in town with my husband, we were excited to do some appetizers before heading out to a concert at Santa Fe Opera House. I should've known when we walked and the hostess looked less thrilled that we had arrived. Strike one. Once again we sat waiting for our drinks. When talking to our waiter I asked if they had a Lambrusco (red sparkling wine) and he had no idea what I was talking about, this is a wine bar people. I think the waiter should know about the wine. Either way when our drinks finally arrived, my husband's craft tap beer was about 2 inches short. Like it had been sitting on the counter for too long, or someone already drank out of it. Strike two. The same thing happened with his second beer, terrible pour. Either bring it out with head or fill the pint glass appropriately. For appetizers, we ordered the hummus and whipped feta with pita, the calamari, and a radish, arugula prosciutto salad. The calamari was ready and sitting on the counter under a heat light for 20 minutes before it was brought to us with our other appetizers. At this point it was soggy. I also had to ask for the dips that were advertised with the calamari. They then brought out the garlic aïoli, and then I had to again ask for the marinara sauce , as stated on the menu. The salad was all right, but was definitely lacking flavor, some balsamic would've helped it. The hummus and whipped feta was so terrible we had to send it back. The hummus was dried out and rockhard. We couldn't even dip into it. The whipped feta was separated from sitting in a fridge too long. It was milky with a hard clump in the middle. How this got served is beyond me, you could tell by looking at the milky feta and the dried out hummus that it was bad. The manager did come and take it back and it was taken off our check. That's all we ever saw of the manager again. When we were ready to leave, the waiter still had to take the feta and hummus off our ticket. Strike three. I just don't understand, the atmosphere is so beautiful, the space is really unique. They will not be getting my money again.
