great blend
Judy B.

This is a beautiful place. Huge atrium. Great service. Good prices for wine tasting. Food was delicious!! We both got flights of red. Good pours. Then bought a bottle of the Cab-Sang. Took some home. Great blend. Started with bacon wrapped dates. Yes yes yes!! Then split the sweet pepper baratta salad. So good. Finished by splitting the 4oz filet with mash potatoes and asparagus. Delicious food and reasonable prices. Pretty good wine. And we are from TX near Fredericksburg.

This was our second stop of the evening and we absolutely loved it! I went with the red tasting and she had the white. Ok, I had one white too. Loved all the wines and. It pairs perfect with the charcuterie board. There was a band playing upstairs and we throughly enjoyed our time and look forward to a rerun visit.

Bruschetta

This place is so beautiful!!!! It has such an amazing courtyard and the inside is actually pretty big. We sat at the bar and everything was great. We stopped here for a little apertivo, just a quick drink and a snack. The bruschetta was fantastic! I will say if you come here pack your patience and don't be in a hurry because the kitchen is slow! It took a very long time to get our food and all we got was bruschetta.

During our recent stay in Santa Fe, we had dinner here twice. For me, the main attraction was the wine tasting, but being able to have dinner there was a bonus. Our first visit was on a Monday night, and our server was fantastic. Forgive me for not remembering her name. I should have saved the receipt. As starters we ordered the bacon wrapped dates and the bruschetta. They allow you to choose four different toppings for each piece of bruschetta which is really nice because all the toppings sound so good. To drink, I had the minimal intervention wine flight, and my husband had the hatch green chili margarita. I enjoyed my flight, especially the Chenin Blanc, but can't lie, I was a little envious when my husband's margarita arrived! The bacon wrapped dates were tasty per usual, but the bruschetta was outstanding! We did not finish the bruschetta because we also had an entree coming, the Pasta New Mexico. It was everything you want pasta to be with a good kick from the hatch chili and red pepper flakes. We left fat and happy! Later that same week we came back on a Friday night, and it was hopping. It looked like there were two major big parties happening which initially concerned us that we might not make it out on time for our event that evening. However, we believe our server got our order to the kitchen before putting in the big one! Yay! And our order was the same as Monday night because we enjoyed it so much. The only thing different was my drink. I got that hatch green chili margarita, and it was super refreshing! Our food came out of the kitchen at a decent time, but we did notice that the bread on the bruschetta lacked the toasted/grilled texture that it had on our first visit. Maybe the kitchen pushed it out too fast or there was a different chef that night. It was still edible but not outstanding like it was the first time. Like most places, it is slower at the beginning of the week and very busy come the weekend which likely affects the quality of what you get. But overall, I think it's a solid place to drink/dine. If I get the chance to visit this city again, I will definitely come back.

We decided to come here after dinner to have a couple more glasses of wine and dessert. It's a great place, though the style of wines were not for us (way too fruit forward). They are VERY dog-friendly and the gluten-free chocolate dessert was great, as was the service. It's a nice way to casually spend an hour.

Definitely a must do if you're in Santa Fe! Les Combes winery is the largest winery in New Mexico. Their wines are incredible. Honorable mention to the limited release Cabernet Sauvignon, Cab Franc, and the Malbec. Every wine I had was exceptional and the atmosphere was cool, comfortable, with all of the best tunes. Angel made the experience as memorable as it was. He was so helpful, sweet, and knowledgeable. He is such an asset to this place. I'm so glad I got to experience his hospitality because it certainly made my trip!

Heritage Flight

Warm and welcoming place to tastes some wines. The Lescombes wine is the largest wine maker in New Mexico. We were seated in a nice comfy chairs and allowed or dog to sit next to us. We were offered a tasting of their Heritage Cab which was just outstanding. We both ordered a flight which included 3 different wines. The Heritage flight includes a white, rose and red. Highly recommend since each had a unique taste and temp. We took a couple bottles of the red home. Food plates were small but very healthy. We ordered the hummus and lavender infused feta plate. Comes with pita bread and a couple cucumbers to dip. Couldn't decided which I liked more, the hummus or the whipped feta. Doesn't appear they sell outside their stores but have an online store where they ship to your door or join their club for monthly deliveries.

Such a beautiful and relaxing atmosphere! Great service and exceptional food and drinks. The wine flights were a perfect option, and the green chili margarita was so tasty! The bacon wrapped stuffed dates were delicious, and we each selected a bruschetta for the flight. The table next to us had the charcuterie board which looked quite nice. We will definitely come back on our next visit to Santa Fe!

Definitely will return. Love their open atrium roof; long corridor front entrance is quite grand (the back door isn't bad). The wines are simply great, we tried two flights: Signature red 631: Cab sauv, Merlot & Cab-Sangio Heritage: Pinot Gris, Rose, Cab sauv They're all very good; Heritage Cabernet Sauvignon is slightly better than 631 Cabernet Sauvignon.

Rafael, our waiter, was fantastic! He gave us a quick history lesson on Hervé and walked us through the wine list with ease. He was knowledgeable, thoughtful, and articulate giving us plenty of time to decide while explaining the flavors and "why" behind each wine. We opted for two custom flights, which was a great way for the three of us to sample a bit of everything. We also shared the bruschetta. a great pairing with the wine and a nice mix of flavors. The overall experience was a delight. The ambiance is wonderful. Tucked in downtown Santa Fe, the wine bar sits at the end of a welcoming corridor and opens into a vibrant, airy space with a large skylight overhead. Bright, stylish, and inviting -- it's a perfect spot for a relaxed tasting or a casual dinner.

Meats and Cheese plate
Jose R.

Great wine selection with tasty appetizers! Had a flight of their reds with bacon dates and a their plate of cheeses and meats. We were planning on dinner but that was more than sufficient. The location adds to the ambiance. Beautiful atrium looking center with a great view upstairs .

Are children allowed?

Yes, and the food is very good. The site is a large, light room where there seems to be room for kids to move about without disturbing others because the tables aren't tightly packed.

Is Herve dog friendly?

I'm sorry, I don't know

The massive mirror behind the bar makes you feel like you've stepped into a classic Western movie, adding to the unique charm of the space. Their signature Sage Margarita is a must-try. The bar is filled with the subtle aroma of burning sage, which creates a memorable experience before you even take your first sip. The cocktail itself was delicious and unlike anything I've had before. My personal favorite, however, was the Mezcal Paloma. Our bartender, TJ, crafted it to perfection. Watching him work was like watching a magician at his craft, every drink was made with skill, attention to detail, and genuine passion. Between the beautiful setting, creative cocktails, and exceptional service, Secreto is a place I would gladly return to on my next trip to Santa Fe.

Place signs around outdoor seating area notifying guests to place drink orders at the bar. 2. Designate at least one person to take orders at tables indoors. This should be easy to track based on who has menus and who doesn't. 3. Set up an online ordering system and place QR codes on tables for easy ordering. Give option to place orders at right or left side of bar. My aunt, mother and I were ignored multiple times by multiple staff after we asked at bar if we should order there and were told to take a seat and someone would be with us shortly. Two other tables that came in after us were served. I then had to go up to the bar to ask to pay as no one came by again even after all our drinks were empty for at least 10 minutes. Again multiple staff walked by us multiple times. Hard not to read into the reasons we were ignored specifically when several groups were being tended to.

Not because of the atmosphere. Not because of the location. Because of Katya. Katya is not my favorite bartender. She is my favorite human being. I've spent enough time in bars to know when someone is good at their job. Katya operates on an entirely different level. She can take what feels like sixteen orders at once, remember every single one, deliver them with absolute precision, keep the entire room moving, somehow do the math in her head, and still make every customer feel like they're the only person sitting at the bar. The basement bar itself is exactly what a great dive should be; a shithole. Heavy hobo stab vibes upon entry, including Katya. Smell: multiple buttholes farting at once. Climate control: sweaty patron dependent. Lighting: liability. TV: playing a rotation of trash 80s DVDs . If business schools were smart, they'd study her. If hospitality groups were smart, they'd clone her. If Santa Fe has any sense at all, they'll do whatever it takes to keep her exactly where she is. Cash only, so come prepared. And bring plenty of it, because she deserves every penny. Katya must be protected at all costs.
