This is one of my go-to for wine tasting at the plaza. Big tasting room, where you can find some tables or cozy couches in the back to enjoy your wine. Plus they have a bunch of items for sales that make great gifts. Even when busy they always manage to get to everyone fairly quick. You can buy a bottle, a glass, or do one of their tastings. Mix white and red, all whites, all red, whatever you prefer, and if you want to make it a pairing, they have a menu to order food from. for one i loveeeeeee this winery , they have the best from bubbly , fruity , dry, sweet , red , white and even NM chile types . they were the first winery in town in 10 years that stole 1st place in my heart (DH Lescombes helded 1st place for yearssss in my heart) and i can say this wine event was amazing to try there new NM chile wines i did it xmas style and it was an amazing balance . my all time favorite on the normal menus is the Mango tango and the very berry . they both are sweet just a fyi but my bestie loved the classic bubbly which was amazing as well! the chambourcin was my fav from the 4 they were showing during the wine yelp event ! i highly recommend going and buying a bottle ! read more

This is a fun place to get to know some New Mexico wine. The thing I liked is their sampling of four you get to choose which ones. I counted on the guy working there to suggest which ones, and he did not steer me wrong. Sampled the bread-and-oil combo, and it was good. Want to explore more. They do have a wine club, but most of the benefits are for another city location, so I'm not sure it is worth it. read more

We really liked this place, we just happened to walk by it. You start by going to the bar and selecting your preferred adult beverage. I did a glass of Tidy Whitt Sauvignon blanc. Not sweet but also not dry, I really liked it. Crackers are available to balance the palet. Also, there are lots of cheeses if that's something you might want. Was so excited to see a noisy water location in Albuquerque after having been to the vineyard and winery in Ruidoso! Perfect location, pretty good size space, and lots of fun options! I love the green chili wine! It's funny, I have always been a big, bold, full bodied red fan and attempted to decline the green chili tasting on my flight and Ruidoso, which the staff informed me was not an option so I was "forced" to try it and GLAD i did!! Was super excited that this location in Albuquerque also had the red chili option. Only suggestions for improvement would be: - inefficient ordering at the bar - it would be really nice if a server could come around to your table so you don't have to stand in line every time you wanted to request your next tasting - if you could get more than one tasting from your flight at a time because standing in line took longer than actually drinking the pour itself - and if there were a couple food options that were maybe dairy free or gluten-free for snacking. read more

Noisy Water is my favorite wine bar in Old Town, maybe even in all of Albuquerque. Inside it is huge- bright, welcoming and so many snack and gift options. The outside patio is beautiful, bright and with lots of seating. Their wine list is extensive with many delicious options. I really enjoyed sitting outside watching the low riders park and see the chaos of Old Town pass me by- it's truly an ABQ experience especially on a Sunday! I had the absolute worst experience here, the guy at the counter was so drunk he was slurring his words. First he ignored us when we first came up to the counter and tried taking someone else's order before us, and then when we ordered a moscato he insisted we get a sample and then forgot to get it for us and took someone else's order before us anyway. We finally ordered a glass of wine, a flight, and a cheese and meat board and he asked if we wanted a sample of the moscato again, forgetting he didn't even give us the sample to begin with. Then he gave us the moscato and we walked away, an hour later didn't receive the flight or the board so we went to go close our tab and the guy had lost my card I had on the tab. This impromptu wine tasting was amazing!!!!! We were wrapping up our walk through Old Town and a someone said "you should try this place", so we did! The wine was spectacular! The employee made great recommendations for our tasting and we loved each one. She was kind, and asked questions to see what we liked and was spot on with each one. This was by far the coolest winery I've ever been too. Now I wasn't a huge fan of the wine selections except for the Chile infused ones. We were shocked as we had never seen that before and immediately jumped on giving it a try and it was our favorite! If you are in the area give their Chile options a try you won't regret it. Old Town has needed a place like this forever. I love that this amazing space has been transformed from a kitschy touristy knick knack shack to a truly gorgeous space. It's absolutely perfect as a tasting room with a relaxed, rustic elegance to it along with an art gallery in the back. I don't think I had ever had Noisy Water wines before this so my hubby and I opted for the tasting where we got different wines so we could try a bit more. The wine list is nuts- there are so many options! There are more traditional styles and also a lot of very unique offerings as well. If sweet wine is your thing, there is ample selection for you and you'll probably like this place a lot. If you're wanting to try a really extensive variety then you may love this too. Unfortunately, I really wasn't a huge fan of any of their wines. I recognize that wine is a very subjective thing but I found them, across the board, to be very unbalanced and overly tannic, even for styles that shouldn't be. If you're a bit more into wine and want phenomenal quality, I would recommend going just a few steps around the corner over to Sheehan instead. It's not the grand, expansive tasting room this has but it certainly makes up for it with great quality and value. Overall, this is a great place to hang out and relax with great service. I didn't try any of the other options but believe they also had beer if wine isn't your thing. read more

This place is located in Old Town and is a great place to visit while enjoying the shops within Oldtown. There is a variety of wine from sweet to dry and light and refreshing to bold and rich. We came this beautiful Sunday day and we enjoyed our time with a charcuterie board. The environment was full of friendly people and we ended up sharing our table with two other parties during our stay and both parties were absolutely delightful to talk to. The charcuterie boards here don't compare to the wonderful ones they have at their locations in Ruidoso but we came here for the wine experience and ambiance not the food. I certainly have no reason to dock Noisy Water Winery a full star, it's a wonderful drinkery, beginning with the fact that the place has transformed from a tacky, run-of-the-tourist-mill Old Town blanket shop into an upscale, open, welcoming venue with a wine list that goes on for days, and authentic, friendly employees. What's not to love? Nothing. The sole impression of my Pinot Noir Rosé, sitting on the small front patio, shoveling BBQ mac 'n cheese down my gullet was, "Sure, this works, good wine. Certainly less sweet than I anticipated, nice balance. Made in New Mexico. Nice." There's much more to discover inside, some nice gourmet goods like cheeses, pistachios, salsas and wearables, but here's one thing you absolutely must do when you visit: head to the back of the building, check out the art gallery. That space, paired with some good wine and munchies, will receive a five star review from me -- I just can't remember what it's called. read more

We didn't know it at the time, but we were lucky enough to be some of the first people at this Noisy Water tasting room. As we made our way up to the beautiful long bar, I overheard the bartender tell someone that it had only been open for a few weeks. The place certainly had an airy new feeling to it. We were doubly lucky as the bartender said it was the top of the hour and the tastings would stop, that were would be the last. We made it by seconds apparently. She said we could pick 5 of whatever we liked. I said that I didn't know the menu so could she just pick out 5 of the dryer reds. She was kind enough to write them down on a pad and so the tasting began! She had some backstory on most of the wines, explaining where the grapes were sourced in New Mexico, what ones were popular, and which ones were favorites. I found a red that I liked, the Demigod, that was affordable. I was trying my gals wines too and found a white wine I liked too. We were done when she said there there was a bonus tasting. We got to try their red and green chile wines. The green had a far bigger aroma of chile while the red had a bigger spicy kick. It was a very New Mexican way to finish off a tasting. read more

Parking is on the street around the square, which, depending on the time of year can be easy or hard (easy when we were last here). In terms of wine, well, I can't say I needed to take any of it home or wanted to try more, but for $10 a tasting, you can't complain.
