This place is a nice neighborhood distillery. I enjoy the nice but not too fancy, and pretty comfortable atmosphere. They have good cocktails and do some seasonal and changing offerings. There's outdoor booths which are nice to hang out in. There's also giant jenga! I like that they do body form drawing nights during the downtown First Friday Artwalks, which anyone of any skill level is welcome to. read more

One of my favorite place to come to when I'm in town, great local cocktails that will blow your socks off!!

They weren't super prepared for a busy pub trivia night so service was verrrrry slow. But you could see they were working hard and trying. And the drinks were great! We got there a little early and were able to snag a table for trivia. They only do cocktails, which is very much in my wheel house. But makes fast drink delivery....not a thing. Their drink menu is interesting and varied and some of them are labor intensive to make. So if it is busy, you may be waiting a while for a beverage. Thankfully, we had trivia to distract us and entertain us or we probably wouldn't have stayed. That said, we had a lovely time and the drinks were delicious and I would absolutely return again. What a great place in Downtown Albuquerque!!! Thank you to the staff who was friendly and inviting. Our server Skye was very great! We came here for the first time for drag brunch and had so much fun. Skye mentioned they will be doing more events including live music and I found out that food trucks park on a regular basis. Check their website were they post their schedule. They make their fabulous tasty cocktails with natural ingredients and have a nice assortment. We have come here for about two years now and really enjoy it. The staff is very friendly and will remember you and your drink preferences. We even started coming over for Geeks who drink. This has to be my favorite trivia location. They have a steady drink menu but also have season specials like the F*ck cancer or the Horchata drink here. read more

I have only visited here once to pick up a drink kit that included vodka for a Yelp at home event. The cocktail kit was fairly priced at $30 for the mixers and a bottle of vodka that's made in house. I can't really rate anything else for the establishment, but overall I was pleased. They are also selling jugs of hand sanitizer so that was good to know. read more

I was thoroughly impressed by my first visit to this distillery. All of the drinks I tried were top notch. I was thrilled to see one of my favorite cocktails, the Ramos Gin Fizz on their menu. It's a pain to make, and I have been disappointed before. Not at Safe House! It was excellent. The Whiskey Sour and Sazerac were very good, too! The service was so friendly and attentive. I was impressed by how often we were checked on, and they were accommodating of people who wanted to sit outside on their very nice heated patio, despite the super cold February temperatures. There's regularly a food truck parked outside and we enjoyed some tasty nachos, along with our drinks. I was there for Soul Night featuring three DJs with their own unique vibes. I will definitely be back for the same event next month! (And sooner for the delicious cocktails, nice atmosphere, and good service.) P.S. I was downtown for an event can came across this place. The staff was not friendly nor engaging. The place itself is nice inside and the outside sections has some great place to sit and enjoy the drink. They are only doing vodka so that is not good if you don't like vodka. They mentioned that they are going to have other choices when I asked when they will be having the other options the answer was some time in the future. There are a couple of other local distilleries in the downtown so not sure I will be back. read more

I went here twice last night. Once for a yelp event, and once to finish off my night. Both times were equally great, and I am a huge fan of this place and the vibe here. It is very hipster, but not hipster to the point where you can't come here without dressing up. The vodka they have was AMAZING. I highly recommend the blueberry lavender mule! I could drink those all day, but that would be dangerous! They also have some green chile infused drinks, and those are phenomenal. This is our second time visiting Safe House. The first time was during a first Friday art walk and their back parking lot is full of artisans. We were impressed with the mixed drinks selection. Everything out group ordered was tasty. Today is my birthday, so we thought we'd check out their happy hour ($2off) from 4-6pm. They have a special Tuesday menu and we ordered off that. I'm still impressed. Vodka is the only thing they are distilling right now and it's smooth. Gin is on its way. The drinks are creative and fun, and most of all, tasty. We'll be back again! read more

Chris, the head distller is always willing to talk and show the process of distilling to anyone that may ask. The safes leftover from the old bank building add to the inviting decor. Stopped at this new bar/distillery Friday night just to check it out. I sat at the bar and was promptly welcomed by the bartender. She explained that at the moment all their cocktails are made with locally made Vodka. Even when I'm not a vodka drinker she prepared me a succulent drink based on my answers to her inquisitive questions. She also explained in the upcoming weeks they will be adding Bourbon and rum. Happy hour time would be a better bet, with $2 off the $8-10 drinks. I would have liked for there to be a menu listing and descriptions of the spirits they distill there, not just the cocktails. I was hoping to like this place more than I did because I typically dig hip bars, which is how I'd classify this place, but the only drink options are with vodka (tho it is a very good vodka) & the drinks were a lil too fancy even for me, not to mention prices are a lil on the high end outside of happy hour. The seating is built for giants, as the seats are far from the table & not mobile so we ended moving to the benches but it was similar as well.
