We were greeted and seated immediately. Our waitress took our drink orders soon after we sat down. She gave us time to check the menu. We shared the chicken tenders and tots. The tenders had a nice breading on them and were cooked perfectly. The tots could have been a little bit hotter temperature wise. Because we did split these, we got the piñon brownie with ice cream. The brownie was good but very rich but the ice cream tempered the richness. Even though we told our server we were splitting both, we had to ask for an extra plate. Our waters could have used a refill too but overall service was good as well as our food. Restrooms were clean. In the bar area the bus person was wearing gloves to clean the tables. Wow - why on earth did we wait so long to get in here? A varied (if not especially exciting) menu that turns out to be reasonably priced in this post-COVID era. An amazingly tastefully (and ultra-clean) room with comfortable seating. Wonderful service every where you turn (big thank-you to Bree and Estrella!). And that food - why, it's DELICIOUS! The meal was good for what it was! It's an easy, comfortable place to get a meal with a group. Our waiter could have been more attentive but overall was a nice guy. Kind of a chain restaurant vibe. The food was good but not great. the Reuben was SUPER salty. The feta dip could have been better, and the prime rib was super rare. I think that's the standard way it comes but my dad did need to send it back to be cooked more-- they were super nice about that and instead of just cooking his already bitten into piece, they brought him a whole new one. OMG! What a find! This place ROCKS! Cute little restaurant with awesome food and service! Our server Brie was a cutie! Very friendly and efficient! I had the prime rib sandwich (delicious!) which came with a cup of their green chile chicken stew! Now THAT was awesome! Gonna learn how to make it! Fantastic texture on the chicken scallopini....I ordered 4 orders of the chicken scallopini entree to go to deliver to a loved one recovering from surgery, and each of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The flavors were clear and present, and I am looking forward to trying some other menu items on a return visit. Think I found a new favorite restaurant! Came here last night with an old friend. It wasn't too crowded and they have a variety on the menu. The decor is relatively simple. Prices range from good to a little more expensive. Service was friendly and we were brought a complimentary portion of 4 little green chile biscuits with whipped butter, which were fantastic. It didn't take too long for the food to come out and portion sizes were huge. I just got the half sized bowl ($5.95) with green chile, crispy chicken, and bacon. I can't imagine how big the full sized bowl would be... My friend said the airplane chicken "soared" and the mashed potatoes were exceptional. (I guess they said it's called airplane chicken because the one chicken wing sticks out like an airplane wing. Okay, bit of a stretch there). Tried Tula recently for an afternoon lunch and felt like it was just okay overall. The space is beautiful and the vibe is definitely nice for a relaxed meal, but the food didn't totally live up to the hype for me. Some dishes were solid, but others were just kind of average, especially for the price point. Service was friendly but a little slow -- not a huge deal, but noticeable. I really wanted to love this place, and while I had an enjoyable lunch, I'm not sure I'd rush back. Maybe it was an off day, but for the cost, I was hoping for a little more wow factor. Lunch time brought us here. Modern & relying on natural sunlight to keep it bright. Lots of good stuff on the menu. But it's the Prime Rib Sandwich with Tots for me and Berry Patch Chicken for the better half. We waited for our food to come out. Took a longer than expected - not a complaint, it allowed for good conversation. When the food came out they were nice sized portions. The prime rib sandwich was loaded with meat and had plenty of sautéed onions & mushrooms topped with cheese. The salad was excellent. The champagne vinaigrette added a lot of flavor to the salad. We decided on dessert - the lemon icebox pie looked good on the menu. It looked & tasted better on the plate. Great lemony flavor - heavy on the tartness. Just what I needed. I must say, this place impressed me with its clean lines, simple decor, and friendly staff. I came from out of town, and Mom said she wanted to eat here, so here we are. We walked in and were met with pleasant smiles who quickly greeted us and offered us a spot out on the patio. It was a lovely day, so, yes, outside, please. **A note to those who have been here when you placed your order at the counter first......... it's changed.** We ordered the appetizer of Tater Tots & Chile Strips. Yummy! The tots were hot & crispy. They were served with 4 sauces to choose from. One appeared to be a red chile of sorts, one had small chunks of green chile in it (my fave), the third I couldn't put my finger on but I wasn't a fan, and one was akin to an aoli sauce, but think smoked (another fave). The green chile strips had cheese in them, were battered and fried. DELISH!! Next time, I'll ask for more of those! I ordered the chicken scallopini. I didn't expect the chicken to be battered (obviously, I didn't read the description), but at least it was moist. The sauce was a white wine sauce. It was okay, but not my favorite. Had I paid attention to the description rather than relying on my expectation of what I thought I would be getting I may have ordered something else. The asparagus was crisp tho! I love asparagus. Mom got the flat iron steak. She's been here before so she knew what she was getting and thoroughly enjoyed it! She did think that the calabacita was a bit spicy though, which is surprising for her as she eats chile all the time. To assist in our digestion I had the Santa Fe IPA and Mom had the margarita. They were great accompaniments! Side Bar: Is it me or do most IPA's taste the same? That's my take and I'm sticking to it. I'm a stout lover, but they didn't have any dark beers. Tried this place for something different, and I have mixed feelings. The grilled cheese was honestly the highlight--crispy, melty, and really well done. I also enjoyed the tater tots and the honey mustard, which had a great flavor. Unfortunately, the sliders were a big miss, and my soup arrived cold, which was disappointing. Came here on a Monday for lunch, and it was packed! I think we seriously got the last booth. I love the decor here. It's clean with fun art on the walls. It feels more upscale than you would expect for the prices. When you walk in, you order at the counter and then choose a seat. Then you have a waiter who can add things like drinks, desserts, etc to your order, and you pay your bill at the end. This is not something f I've really experienced before. I'm not sure if this is supposed to be more efficient for the waiters? The food was good and had surprisingly good sized portions. I got the tomato bisque with a grilled cheese. I added avocado and tomato to my sandwich, which I highly recommend. It was a perfect pairing for a cold winter day. The sandwich was filled with gooey yummy cheese and it tasted delicious dipped in the tomato bisque. I would get this again. My husband got the large chicken strips with a side of tater tots and chipotle ranch for dipping. The portion was HUGE! We often find chicken strips to be dry, but these were moist and really good dipped in the chipotle ranch. He didn't love the tater tots because they come covered in a tzaziki sauce (he doesn't like tzatziki sauce), but I thought they were pretty good. You could probably ask for them to come without the sauce if you prefer them plain. The service was overall really good. I came with a friend from Brazil, and she had never had chicken salad before, so the man who took our order ran back to the kitchen to get her a free sample. She enjoyed the salad and ended up having it for her lunch. Her husband got the Reuben sandwich and said he really enjoyed it. To drink, I just had water and it was refilled several times without having to wave someone down. My husband got the Tiger's Blood mock tail which he liked. It comes in a big tall glass with whipped cream on top. Definitely a great presentation. Overall, this is a great place to stop for lunch with friends. This salad was one of the best salads I've had. The dressing was mixed in with the vegetables very well and it had a lot of toppings which I love. Our server was so fantastic. We all commented on how good the service was and how we hadn't had such good service in a while. This is our new girls lunch/ dinner spot. Loved it! Everything was so good! I never go into any restaurant thinking this is going to be amazing but my expectations were thrown off the roof! My boyfriend and I went here for a birthday celebration and we were just blown away by everything! I had the steak and fries and it was cooked perfectly! It also had goat cheese and chile with it that I didn't think I was going to like so I got it on the side to at least try it... and I loved it! My boyfriend got the beef kabob and it was also cooked so good! The potatoes and tzatziki sauce!! Muah, chefs kiss! We also did a brownie sundae for desert and didn't know if we would like the red Chile caramel sauce but that was also soooo good!!! This restaurant knows what it's doing! Went to Tula's on Sunday on Paseo Del Norte - a real disappointment. I had the Reuben with tater tots. The Reuben had very little meat, not even enough to cover the bread, seemed to be sitting around waiting for pickup because when it came to the table is was lukewarm, may as well have been cold, it was just plain unappetizing. Gave my credit card and your site says can't do the online order so I called you to place the order it rang and rang and then someone picks it up I hear a guy and I kept saying hello?? Ouch! It hurts to write this. First, it's a very nice space. It reminds me of a Denny's or IHOP with the long benches and the small tables. This was our second visit. I really didn't think I would go back but, some friends from out of town, who are huge fans of Dion's wanted to go. So, I thought we'd try it again and learn from our first visit. Our first time here. We got there an hour before closing on Friday night. Nice looking place and boy their AC works great. It was a bit cold for us so we sat next to each other to keep warm. It wasn't busy but it took awhile for us to get waited on. My husband noticed a waiter goofing off and was hoping he wasn't going to be our waiter but of course he was. When he finally greeted us, we gave him our order right away (drinks and food) thinking they would want us out of there so they can close on time. We ordered: 1. salmon with capers lemon sauce - was a little too lemony for my taste but they did make the noodles e dente as requested 2. Mac & chs with bacon & green chili - hubby liked it! 3. I've been to Tula's on Wyoming Blvd many times because I really want to support local, but unfortunately, each visit seems to get a little worse. When they first opened, the food and service were great, but both have gone noticeably downhill over time. The staff often seem rushed or uninterested, and the quality of the food just isn't what it used to be. I'm giving it 3 stars to support a local business, but in all honesty, it feels more like a 2-star experience lately. I will not be returning. Wishing you all the best. read more

I ordered the Spare Rib Sliders, and we split an order of the green chilli strips to start. The strips are the best thing here, and you can ask them for no tater tots since it comes with both, and they'll give you extra strips. They are good! The sauces to dip in are decent as well, and this is the only thing worth eating here that I've had so far. The Spare rib sliders were not good at all. Whatever brioche buns they say they make in house were really, really bad. They seemed extremely stale. Not good at all. Service from our waitress was mediocre at very best, the waitresses seem more interested in talking to each-other behind the counter than doing their jobs. The ole lady got the Duke City Grilled cheese and tomato bisque. The grilled cheese was nothing special at all and could easily be made just as good at home, if not better..... The bisque was mediocre, and again could be made just as good at home. We also got the Lemon Ice Box Pie. It was very large, but it lacked. It was super solid and hard to "spoon," into. Maybe if it sat out for a few minutes and thawed a bit more it'd be better, not sure, but I would not get it again if I went back. $60+ dollars for 2 appetizers, 1 entree, & a desert, most of which was terrible, is not my jam. My first experience here was about the same as this, and I'm not sure I'll return. The customer Service I received from Jorge after posting my review may just make me give this place 1 more shot.....If not for him I'd not return, but he was pleasant, actually cared, and you don't see that often these days. read more

Tula's Kitchen is a casual restaurant serving New American food from the same owners as Dion's. As of November 2023 there's only one location, which is in the NE Heights. A second location was announced in June 2023 but has not yet opened its doors. Tula's is a clean, modern, casual restaurant with a two-page menu comprised of salads, soups, shareables, favorites, sandwiches, sides, and non-alcoholic drinks. Seating is available on the covered patio or indoors with booth, table, or booth/table combo seating. Patrons in wheelchairs will therefore not have an issue, and there are not any stairs into the venue. The service was very, very slow, though our server was friendly. We didn't think anyone had been assigned to our table since the wait to even be greeted by the server was so long. Patrons received a complimentary small plate of four miniature cheesy biscuits with butter. I had the club sandwich (turkey, ham, crispy bacon, Muenster cheese, lettuce, and tomato, served with chipotle ranch on farmhouse sourdough) for $13.00, with a side of tomato bisque soup that came with croutons. The sandwich was enjoyable and I liked that they included a side of the chipotle ranch for dipping. The tomato bisque was quite good and had a kick of basil and I enjoyed the croutons sprinkled on top. I'd go to Tula's again if I was wanting New American food again, but ideally they'll work on their staffing issues for faster greeting and service. read more
