I am not sure how I feel about this particular location in Everette, 5632 Evergreen Way, Everette, WA 98203. I requested the conventional oil change today. The prices are a reasonable $56.99, I presented a coupon, from the Valvoline Website, that stated, $10.00 off for a conventional oil change! Jesus, the manager informs me that its only $5.00 off for a conventional oil change... (in my best millennial girl voice- wait, what........) the coupon is from the Valvoline Website! If coupons are at the discretion of this particular location, then state if in print so people can clearly see it. Ultimately the coupon was scanned and applied to the invoice with no further discussion, but why would he say that at all regarding the discount price? Of course, one should expect the up sale, it's part of the business model and it was put into play in this scenario, (you know, the conventional oil isn't that great,) "Yeah, well, it's in the budget. I drive 30 miles a day, it'll do. I was advised that I had some various leaks, but when I asked for further elaborations, I got no reply unless he didn't her me make my inquires. Which brings me to my next point, I couldn't really hear the gentleman, and I clearly indicated that I was straining to hear him speaking to me. No effort was made to correct or adjust so that we could have good communication. Jesus, brought over the dipstick, which of course had no oil on it, not quite sure what that was about as the oil had been drained. Since I could not hear half of what he was explaining, I just didn't bother, and NO I hear quite fine. :-) On the positive the service was quick, I was in and out, but I would strongly suggest that for females alone, I'd bring someone with you for a service. Any recommended service, check the website Repair Pal to compare pricing if you consider moving forwards. I will not be going back to this particular Valvoline Instant Oil Change. read more

After the oil change, I noticed oil was leaking on my garage floor. I took the car back in and they said that oil was spilled from the filter change out. They did not seem very concerned or offer to have the engine cleaned. I notified the customer service department at Valvoline. They told me to notify them if it continued to leak. After it was leaking after several weeks, I notified them. I did not get a response. I called again to follow up, they said that someone would reach out to me. I never heard anything. I followed up a 3rd time once it was determined that the car had been overfilled and oil spilled but did not hear anything. Suspect they really don't care about the job they are doing so I would go elsewhere. read more

Yes they provide a service but I will never recommend an oil change place to anyone. The trust of certain required maintenance that can be done on the level of the user should be done by the user. Does the value of the service out way the certainty of work? I would always trust my oil change to any of these places. read more

Horrible experience there Went to get an oil change and signal light replaced Soon as I pull off 10 minutes later my car dies and won't start. It was working fine before I got there! I call the place back and tell them what happened. And no solution to the problem. How can I bring a car back in that will not start. It was driving fine before I got there. CLASSIC BAIT AND SWITCH LOCATION. I purchased the Groupon for Valvoline 24hrs prior to appearing at this location, ensuring the proper location and terms applied to my desired service There was 2 cars in front of us, Eddy walks out and I tell him I have a Groupon. He states that they don't take Groupons. I show him the purchase date, location listed that accept it, and he continues to refuse to accept it telling me I could "try" other locations 30minutes away. The catch...I have been a customer here for the past 2.5 years, and he not only refused the Groupon but went on to tell me that he was the manager, and online coupon for 50% off was "not for my specific vehicle". This place is horrible now. Don't know what happened but avoid this shop. Oil costs 8$ a qt wost case. These guys are charging $90+ for recycled synthetic oil. Total scam. read more

I am really torn between three and four stars. When it comes to trustworthy and safe service- five stars for sure. There wasn't ever a moment that I felt they were being shady and trying to make me spend more money, which is usually the concern with mechanics. And I did get exactly what I was hoping for- an oil change and the codes checked. I also recognize I went by an hour before they closed, and there were only 3 employees, so it could have been an off day. But I didn't really receive "good" service. The person who I interacted with didn't feel busy but rather, just uninterested. I expressed concern about my check engine light being on and it felt like they could not care less. They didn't ask if I wanted an oil change but just assumed that's what I was there for. (Rolled down window and immediately asked what oil I wanted.) There was no "hello" or "good bye" or any other kind of pleasantries. When eventually (after asking 4 times) they ran the codes on my car, the guy made some small comment about "there not being any codes, as expected" to the male in my car when he thought I couldn't hear. Would I go back? Under the same pressed for time situation, yes. But if I had the time to pick, I might drive farther for a different Valvoline location. read more

Never coming here again. Mechanics forgot to screw into place my vehicles skid plate after getting an oil change. Been to this location several times so was really disappointed what happened .I could hear the skid plate scraping on the ground so I had to go back and have them straighten it out and put it back in place. I have on video one of the mechanics openly admitting that they forgot to secure the skid plate properly. Worst part about this was they kept changing their story as about what happened once the manager came out. Don't recommend coming here. read more

I took my girlfriend's 07 Mazda 3 in for an oil change last week and they brought to my attention that it needed a transmission fluid change and rear brake light and we told them not today. Fast forward a week later I'm back to get those recommended services done. Well they start on the transmission fluid change and half way though the job they hand me a waiver stating that they "highly recommend NOT having a transmission fluid change if it hasn't been done within the last 60k miles and they are not liable for any damages to the vehicle." Well her car is at 170k and there's never been a record of any transmission fluid change (she's also only put 4K miles on the car) Now I'm no mechanic and had no idea that you should not have that service done if the car hasn't had it done previously. So I try explaining to them that I'm not signing the waiver and that they have already started the service BEFORE they told me that it shouldn't be done and I told them that they should have explained to the potential risk. They end up stopping the job with only a quart of fluid changed because I won't sign. All I can say to you guys at Valvoline is slow down and let your customers know what they are having done to their vehicles and what to expect, people only go to places like this because they don't have the time, tools, or the skills and knowledge to do these services themselves. The only reason I'm not giving one star is because the man working on the brake light was awesome and even though they couldn't fix it, he showed me what part I need to get and how to do it myself (it had a broken connection so the light only worked at certain angles). And I will say that Eddy did a great job explaining the risk that I'm taking having the transmission fluid changed but he really should have told me before they started the job. If I had known before hand that it could damage the car then I would have not even pulled into the shop. Kind of funny that Eddy recommended the service to us when we first went in for an oil change but then handed me a waiver saying that it's highly recommended to NOT have it done. Mixed review. My brother brought his car here and was in and out In 10 minutes no problem. I however get here and the guy is completely rude, saying that there's issues with almost every part of my car and tells me it's gonna be around $1000. Then when I say I've got these things done already by my other brother whose been a mechanic over 20 years he says "he must of been a shit mechanic because he didn't enter the work into the car fax" are you kidding me? I usually don't write reviews on places but I'll gladly write one about this place. I was scared of getting my oil changed because I didn't want to have to wait an hour or more. This place took literally 20 minutes. The guys were really nice and took their jobs really seriously. Didn't see one bit of laziness from anyone on the team. After going to Jiffy Lube recently (it was a promotional thing), it reminded me why I always go here to Valvoline. They take longer, are much more attentive to detail and do a much better job. When you drive up, the first thing they do is check ALL your lights. Jiffy Lube didn't do this. They check everything and even show you the dipstick and air filters. Jiffy Lube didn't do this either. They keep you informed (last time they told me my battery needed to be replaced). Jiffy Lube doesn't communicate half as much and are about the same price. I will only go here to Valvoline - they do it right the first time. Keep up the good work! read more

I just left from getting my oil changed. I was driving home on the highway and I hear something dragging on the cement so I pull over. The bottom of my car is completely hanging off. They didn't screw it back on. And now I have to wait to get my car towed so it can be properly be screwed back on. Although now it is damaged from the cement. DO NOT GO HERE. read more

I love the convenience of sitting in my car while getting an oil change (especially in colder months like this in the PNW). The staff was very professional and courteous. They did inform me of normal things like my dirty air filter and such but didn't hassle me about buying anything, for which I'm thankful! My technician even asked if he could reset my change oil notification which I didn't have set up apparently and informed me that my car had an option where I could set my change oil notification to warn me when it was due. Makes it so much easier to know when my change is due. Also, since they have your car info in the system, I don't really even need my sticker on the window and they can look up what type of oil it needs. Convenience all the way around. I always look for a their locations if I'm away from home and need an oil change. read more

I've been getting oil changes here but the last time I went to jiffy lube and they didn't check the air filter or other fluids they window sticker said 110k my truck had 122k when it was changed so my point is I wish I had used vavoline instead because they check everything and seem more trustworthy read more

I stopped by to get a oil change and was told my 2017 hyundai elantra se required full synthetic oil. I told the guy that it doesn't and never has had to in the past. The manufacturer doesn't require it in the manual. He didn't believe so I left and will never be back. Stop trying to upsell people. read more

My daughter and son in law brought their vehicle here February 23, 2018 for a oil change. Unfortunately they forgot to remove a envelope containing their rent money in the amount of 950.00. When they returned to their vehicle They checked the envelope and 600.00 was missing! They called Everett police and talked to the manager to no avail. My daughter and son in law are an honest, hard working couple raising 4 children and in no way deserved to be ripped off like this. It was a honest mistake leaving the cash in their vehicle but why would the technicians be going through their vehicle? Be very aware of this company! Word of mouth and reviews like this can make or break a business and hopefully they're held accountable! We've shared their story with all our family and friends and they with theirs!
