Where do I start? I took my Ford in to have a new catalytic converter , front brakes , a door handle fixed , and rear brake shoes fixed and they told me it would be 2600 and change. They took 5 extra days fixing it and the only thing they fixed was the converter. I paid the guy before I looked at my car and when I saw it and they didn't do all they said he wouldn't give me the extra money I paid back. So in essence they ripped me off for over a thousand dollars. They also went through my car and stole some things out of it. This happened a couple years ago and the review I posted then kept getting taken down. These guys are liars and thieves. If you take your car to them your a fool. This is the worst service I have ever had and I'm 55. I wish I could give them minus 5 stars. I never did get the money back they stole from me. The catalytic converter was 1565 to fix and I paid them 2685.00. read more

They ripped me off for 1200 $ . I brought my car in for several repairs. They told me it was done and I went and paid them. I got outside and realized they only did one out of 5 repairs. I tried to get the extra 1200 back that I paid them and they wouldn't give it to me. They are truly scummy for sure. Stay away. read more

Well, the problem here is that they're not family owned. They're independently owned for starters.. they've been known originally for their exhaust work and like other shops they want to make more money. So they've branched out covering a lot of aspects of automotive work. The problem here is they've got people in there that are not qualified to do the work and so hence the problems that you're seeing and that we've experienced with them as well. I would definitely not recommend them for any sort of specialized work, especially on import vehicles. Anything like that. I've had a lot of problems with them over the years, not only just in customer service but the folks that work on your vehicle and not being knowledged hence problems occurring. Plus they only offer a 90-day warranty on their workmanship and I believe industry standard now is is 12,000 mi or one year.. And like folks have mentioned as well I might add, up. Charging is a big go-to with them..NOTE: THEY DID AN OIL CHANGE FOR ME SOMETIME BACK GOT THE VEHICLE BACK HOME OIL WAS LEAKING OUT FROM THE PAN. THEY STRIPPED THE THREADS IS WHAT HAPPENED WHEN THEY RETIGHTENED IT BACK.. Also had work from them done on another one of our vehicles and they attempted to put a complete defective tire back on the vehicle after they did the test drive and said we were good to go and I spotted it and asked him why they would even do that. I have known the manager and his daughter for several years. They are wonderful people. They always do a great job on my vehicle. I take all my cars there. They are all changes are not that expensive. They're mechanic work is not that high as well but they do a terrific job and they work fast and efficient. They are very kind employees they care about your vehicle and care about getting back on the road, I would recommend this place to anyone that needs to get their vehicle fixed , never been disappointed. read more

Update , 4:30PM on a Friday. Said they couldn;'t keep the engine light on long enough to check. I took it home engine light wouldn.t turn off. 5 pm closed. He suggest several possibility's, I said one was what I thought too. So what's my Cost sir?Just to do that' to replace that one sensor that has symptoms we both came too concluding? $697.00 : Part $26 to $43. Labor : Two 1/4"x 21mm (tiny phillips) screws on side of carborater in the open. Good mechanic could do that in 10 minutes. $69,00 a minute? plus parts included 'two tiny screws. I figure they Didn't have time for me unless I paid them an offer they couldn't refuse. read more

So, I was told this would be a good solid place to take my car. Obsoletely not! I wanted to get everything checked on a car I just purchased and to see if I would be using this place going forward. Free brake inspection to start with. I did get my oil changed but now I'm not even sure if that was done. Anyway, I go to pick up my car and see what needs to be done and how much it would be. The daughter of the short dude up front says that the total for front brakes, rotors, and calipers would run me $1250 dollars. I don't like math, but you can't be serious. This is directly from the receipt: RECOMMENDATIONS: Found that front brakes have rusted, pitted and grooved rotors. Bucky's also noted uneven pad wear in the front brakes. Bucky's noted that rear brakes look ok, with 50% or more life left. Bucky's recommended to remove and replace front brake pads, rotors, and calipers. Customer declined repairs. * I took it to a couple other places to make sure. There is nothing wrong with my brakes. Not an issue that needs to be paid for. Don't bother going here unless you like handing over money for no reason. I don't like people playing in my face and they tried it. Every other car shop is busy, and it might be a week out before you can anything fixed but the wait will save you the money. read more

I took my car and the 2012. The Camry to have the shocks and struts inspected. And I was told that needed over $3000 worth of work. Shop stretch, you know, breaks front and back and I went to a second shop and was quoted. A $200 fixed VS over $3000. The people were friendly there. The guy that helped me no test her with my car for like 20 minutes, which shouldn't have been 20 minutes. You know he shouldn't have been driving for 20 minutes. These people are, they're not honest. I would never go there. I went there by mistake. Basically, they weren't busy and I can see why they weren't busy. They had other people haven't serious. Ill work being done on their vehicle. I had good experiences in the past getting oil changes and the FREE inspections. However, on 4/13/23, I came in for the same oil change and was charged for 30 min @$140.00 an hour for the FREE inspections plus another $10.00 @10.00 an hour. This time, my oil change cost me $127.00. I was charged for having my battery posts and my radiator inspected which both should have been FREE. I looked under the hood when I got home to make sure the oil had really been changed and realized my oil cap is now missing. I also checked the battery post I asked to have cleaned and it was never done. I ended up having to go back for my oil cap and was told, "we were just about to call you." l Then made sure I got my battery post cleaned finally and had to hear about only having one mechanic, over booked, ect. I am a Senior Citizen on a fixed income and this has cost me half of my grocery money for the month. I had been going to Everett Bucky's for the past 2 years but the employees that had always treated me with respect were no longer there. read more

This is an honest, affordable shop. I spoke personally with, Dana, the manager. He was so helpful and kind. When the crew found unexpected problems with my brakes, they were able to get the parts delivered same day and took care of my truck in a timely manner. This place is complete crap. I hope Dana and Tim read this. I went in there to get some work done on my car, it was having some electrical issues. They diagnosed it and charged me 279 to fix it. Went to pick my car up and drove it home. Next morning my car was having the same problems. I went back to buckys and told them. They looked at it again and charged me another 270 to change my battery terminal. I went to pick it up and guess what? MY CAR WAS STILL NOT FIXED! so I went back to Buckys. Now they're charging me over 1000 because it's the alternator and belt that's causing my car to have problems! Okay perfect that's great, except they replaced the alternator and it's still not fixed. Now they are saying it's a blown fuse box and that they weren't charging me for the alternator. They told me my car was gonna be done in a few days. A few days later pass by and I had to call them on the status of my car. Now they're telling me that they ordered the wrong fuse box and now I have to wait another five days to get my car back. I've spend over 2000 and I still don't have my car back. They've had my car for a total of four weeks. None of these people are professional. Tim was arguing with a customer about a door handle when I went to drop off my car. Apparently they broke it and still charged the person to fix their mistake. You're better off paying a homeless man to fix your car. You wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Don't go here. Update: Buckys called me to delete this post because it was bad for their image. I'm here to repost it because everyone should know about my experience. Four weeks is too long to have a car in the shop for a "simple" fix. They could've helped me out with lowering the price to compensate for the financial hardship that came with not having a car for that long. Honest and smart! I have taken my cars to Bucky's for years and have never been disappointed, I may not like the diagnosis of the issues but I never caught them making stuff up. I have old cars (3 each with over 220k miles) that I take care of to avoid new car payments and I spend about $600 - $1600 a year on stuff that goes wrong with them, as will happen with older cars. I at one point thought highly of this place and actually recommended it to people, but no more. I woke up one morning to fluid dripping down the drivers foot well and didn't think that was a good sign so I took it in to the nearest mechanic, which for me was Sears. They diagnosed it as a rack and pinion gone bad and the fluid was power steering fluid. They quoted me about $1000, but I wanted a second opinion. I took my car to Bucky's and they also diagnosed it as a rack and pinion that needed replacing. They quoted me $1000 as well, and I figured since it was already there they could do the work. I regret this decision to this day. I was told I could pick it up the next day but when I came to get it the drive home was anything but smooth, so I took it back and explained that I was able to hear every tire rotation (no exaggeration) so they said they would keep it another day and get it fixed. They were closing for the day and we're nice enough to wait for me while my ride was on his way. The gentlemen that work there were nice, but complained about their jobs (they make very little money when you take their salary and hours worked into account and they only got a case of Mt Dew as a Christmas bonus). And that was uncomfortable. The next day I came back to get the car and it still had the same issue but now when you turned the wheel it clank ed like metal hitting metal. So we gave it another shot at getting the issue fixed. The third time I came back to pick it up the issues were still present but they told me there was literally nothing they could do and that it was probably an unrelated issue to what they had worked on. I just have a really hard time believing that these two issues happened to appear in the same area you were working and are not related to what you did. I ended up selling the car because I was just sickened every time I drove it. All I could think of was all the money spent (ended up being $1500 all said) to end up in a worse place than I was. read more

Fast service, best price for my job and took me in within the hour I called. Needed to get a dual muffler delete on my 2016 Lexus is350 f sport for an extra aggressive purr, but was turned down by over a dozen shops after calling for openings from Snohomish to Kirkland. Other shops have me prices ranging from $200-300 and over 4 hour jobs from start to finish. Wasn't please by those answers so I called them and they gladly took my walk in call. $160 for both muffler deletes and less than an hour and a half later I was done. For reassurance, if any issues came up after my service, they would let me bring my car back and fix it. Great staff, quick service and would highly recommend for an exhaust job when you need it. A few weeks ago I got my front brakes replaced in my minivan at Buckys in down town Everett. Day after the brakes were done the van didn't wanted to go faster than 40 mph. I took it back and after the "diagnosis" I was told that my engine was "gone" and gave me a quote for 5000 + and the phone number of a person who can "lend" me the money to cover the repairs. I paid for the brakes and diagnosis $2000 Of course I got a second opinion at Fast Eddie's AUTO REPAIR. I only told them that the van wouldn't go fast. I was ask if someone had done work on it recently. The diagnosis machine had been disconnected, and some hoses switch making the acceleration almost no existent. The hoses and machine had shiny spots telling that someone had tampered with them. They did it all for $195, my minivan is now working properly. read more

I had a $24.95 coupon for an oil change. I expected a couple bucks for the old shop supplies item. The Everett store charged me $34.20 for the oild change, plus $2 for disposal and then tax brought my cost to $39.75. I questioned if that was the correct cost with my $24.95 coupon. The manager replied yes it was correct. I've done a lot of oil changes there. THis was out of line, and I will be hard pressed to go back to them. read more

I went in today for a radiator inspection and flush. The manager printed me out a receipt for $129. I told her I had a coupon (see picture, listed as a monthly special on their site) for $29.95. She takes it and rings me up $29.95 for labor, $35.97 for parts, $10.01 tax and fees before they even looked at it. So the "$29.95 special" really comes to $75.93. The mechanic came back in and I heard him ask her "so flush?" And she said, "just drain and fill." When she rang me up I asked her what they did and she said they "flushed, drained and filled." Hm. This was the worst nightmare...took my car in for a diagnosis...it sat I. Their parking lot for 4 days before they finally looked at it...kept saying they couldn't figure out how to get past the interlock to diagnose it..I went in and figured it out for them...but meanwhile my car had been broken into and cleaned out by the local homeless/drug addicts...when they allegedly said they diagnosed it..I was there and they never hooked it up to the scanner...just looked under the hood and said yup...it needs a fuel pump...meanwhile 3 more days passed...claimed it was done..went and picked it up..ran like crap!!! After I paid $800...took it back in.next day..they put in a fuel filter..another $70...still ran like crap...drove it from Everett to Bothell..it died in bothell...I had to call a mobile mechanic..he did a tuneup...still ran like crap..car stranded in bothell for 3 more days..finally tried to drive it back home to everett..made it as far as 405 and I-5 interchange...it had gray and white smoke come out of it and overheated...it was undriveable after that..towed to another mechanic...told it had a blown head gasket...didn't want to put anymore money and Time into it...meanwhile over $1300 into it and a week and a half lost wages due to no vehicle from buckys giving excuses...saying it was the fuel pump when fuel pump wasn't even the issue...turns out it had fuel in the injectors...it was the worst experience..money thrown away and the car is not drivable and is in the junkyard now and had to get another vehicle...I wouldn't go to buckys even for an oil change now!!! I took my stepfather's Cadillac to this shop because of a muffler problem. It got loose somehow and the dealership where he usually goes didn't want to reattach/weld the part. They wanted to change/sell the whole exhaust system. Anyways, after stopping around to a few muffler shops, they all said it will take a few days and wanted for me to come back next week, I found Bucky's. I pulled in and within seconds the staff asked me what was the problem, after a few minutes the mechanic told me the muffler was still in good shape and the problem was fixable..I don't know much about cars so I trusted his judgment. After an hour or so that I walked into the shop I was driving back home. The price was super competitive, the shop has TV, coffee and water, pretty standard for a mechanic shop. I will definitely come back for more serious car repairs!! read more

Called around for quotes to get it fixed, and Gary was the only one who gave me an affordable price and was willing to work with me. Went to pick up my truck after the job was done and wasn't sure how it would go since I've read mixed reviews about this place. Gary went ahead and priced me out at the agreed upon quote, then went ahead and knocked $70 off of my price and wished me happy holidays. DO NOT GET ANY MECHANICAL WORK HERE!! I have spent a good amount of money here on routine maintenance, cv joints have been replaced here, oil changes, brake jobs, etc. DO NOT GET ANY MECHANICAL WORK HERE!! My first experience was getting an oil change. That went fine. Except I don't think they changed the filter. But I didn't have a way to check because I lived in a town home with no private parking and no space to do mechanical work. I did for years before I moved here and this was my first experience with anyone besides myself doing any mechanical work on my car at all. My second was a cv joint where I was given a recommendation based on a sound my front wheel well was making so I decided to go for it. The job took them an hour and a half and cost me 350 dollars when I know the part was only about 100 dollars, they definitely over charged me. I even added a rear disc brake replacement half way through because of their inspection during the process which turned out just fine. Although they seemed to be selling me on everything possible. O well. The problem is I pulled out after this job and my car was still making noise through the next week so I check the front driver side cv joint and what did I find?? THEY PUT THE CV JOINT ON THE WRONG SIDE!! I brought it back and they swapped it, although my car still makes that noise today, so despite their recommendation it did not help a thing. At that point I didn't want to go back to buckys but I though hey maybe they will cut me a deal on whatever the problem really is since they messed up with the last issue so I went back because I like to give chances... THE GM WAS FIRED AND THE OWNERS HAD TAKEN OVER MANAGEMENT OF THAT LOCATION!! Apparently he was stealing or doing something bad. I thought I now knew why these things had happened. I decided I didn't want to spend any more money on my issue and work on it myself. I was going to be moving soon so it could wait. I got two more oil chabges before I moved. Which brings me to today! I go to jiffy lube in lynnwood. Great staff and very helpful. I have them give me an oil change. After about 20 minutes I get some bad news... They said, whoever changed your oil last did one of two things. They either used an oversized bolt to fix a cross threading issue with your drain pan, or they cross threaded your drain pan. Either way they did not tell me this. They said there is a quick temporary fix of tapping new threads into the pan or you can get a replacement pan. Either way they are liable and you should contact them and they should take care of you. In a few very short words after speaking with the lady in charge at buckys in everett today...I will never recommend anyone go to any buckys at any point in time because...despite having issues with the last GM, and despite the lack of mechanics at this location. Whoever management decided to replace that crew who screwed up so bad with they ARE NOT willing to MAKE IT RIGHT and instead treated me like a worthless pile of junk. And for that I say.. DO NOT GET ANY MECHANICAL WORK HERE!! For any reason! read more

This shop is amazing! They got my car in right away, told me exactly what was wrong and fixed it. They were awesome, friendly, professional and finished on time. I even got a ride home when one of them overheard me discussing needing one. Usually only the big dealerships do that and you pay for it in their prices. Bucky's isn't like that, they're totally fair. I highly recommend them to everyone and I've never recommended an auto shop in my life, nor ever thought I would. I'm so happy I found them!
