Today I yelped for a convenient location for a replacement and H&H Auto Repair showed up as a good candidate. After speaking with Chris, I could tell he is experienced in the car repair business and gave me the impression that he is trustworthy like many of the other Yelp reviews reported. I had my oil changed and appreciated the fair pricing and prompt performance while I waited for their service. No upsells for unneeded services! They do take Visa and Mastercard. Their location on Highway 99 is tucked behind another building, so it's a bit tricky finding them the first time. I will return again because they earned my trust and my future business.

So I heard about this place from Reddit as well as Facebook and they gave me the best quote over…read morethe phone before bringing my car in ($400) My concerns were needing an oil change and wanting my spacers taken off so that I didn't keep rubbing Everything seemed fine, but then they called me about 12 or 1pm and said that my lug bolts were broken and would need to be replaced and that I need new front brakes so they could also do those. I don't really have a choice about the lug bolts but he said he could just not charge for the labor for those if he's doing the brakes so I agreed We were now looking at about $700 They call me around 3ish maybe 4 and then they tell me they went to put my wheels on and realized the lug pattern didn't match my car and that they then realized that my spacers were actually wheel adjusters and that they had to be on in order to put the wheels on. So unfortunately they don't have smaller ones and they will have to put them back on So, the whole reason I came here was for the spacers. When they were taken off is when I'm assuming those lug bolts were broken, which is whatever. But once they were taken off, I'm wondering how nobody noticed that they weren't just spacers, especially being that this place has been around a long time and they seemed to have experienced mechanics. I also approved new pads, not new rotors, they threw those in there for over $200 plus the $70 for the pads, so maybe this is just their protocol but it would've been nice to have this explained. By the time I came to get my car, my bill was over $1000 but all I really ended up getting was an oil change and brakes. The rest was a waste of time On my way to my step mom's house, I noticed on the freeway, that not only was my car a lot more shaky, I felt scared so I pulled over, and it turns out that they rotated my tires, but my back rims have a bend on them, which is something I explained to them that the Toyota service department wouldn't do because they don't want the bent rim to be in the front and risk blowing while I'm on the freeway. So these people disregarded that. Not a huge deal, but just something I feel like was ignored Then on my way back from my step moms, I noticed that every time I was braking, my whole steering wheel was wobbling back and forth and there was smoke coming from what seemed to be my front tire area. I pulled over and I realized my brakes were smoking like crazy! I know there's a seal put on them before the box, so maybe that's why? Maybe it was melting so the pads were sticking? I got back in after 15 mins of cooling down and then tried to brake again and it was still happening. I needed to get home I was exhausted so I decided to just keep going . I ended up having to slam on my brakes (traffic) and then all of a sudden it was back to normal. However, then I started hearing a clicking noise. This noise has now happened all weekend but not consistently. I checked to make sure there's no nails or rocks in my tires, and there's not, so I called today (Monday) to let them know, and I will be bringing my car in tomorrow morning. Overall, I do not plan to return here, would not recommend this place, and feel like they saw the opportunity to rack up a bill because I'm a girl. Please take your $$ elsewhere.

He didn't have the brake pad for my '09 Miata, but placed an order and got it delivered within 2 hours! Total service time was 3 hours and he gave me a free drink from the cooler for the inconvenience. To top it off, this cost only half what it would have costed if I got my brake pads replaced at the Mazda dealership. If this guy sold gas, he'd put Costco out of business. Highly recommend!

It also gave me the option through the email of choosing which item I wanted to have fixed or not. There were a lot of things that needed to be addressed and they did have my car for 2 1/2 days which I was not expecting. But everything seems to be in great working order and my gas mileage has already improved from the spark plugs replacements that were done. I would give them zero stars if I could…read more TLDR: Lied to us about a diagnosis and tried scamming us out of $1700 to replace a radiator cap My wifes jeep has been leaking coolant from the radiator, and scheduled with them to get it diagnosed and repaired First thing, is they accepted the jeep and didn't inform my wife that they don't offer radiator repairs, Which is literally what my wife brought the vehicle in for. luckily My wife gave them my number to discuss pickup and costs. Called them later on that day to figure out what was going on. The confirmed there was a leak in the radiator, and it needed to be replaced, and once they were doing that they would check the Waterpump and see if there is an issue there. Cost to replace the radiator is $1700 dollars. I asked them in multiple ways if they can just repair the leak, or weld it - they said they cant weld it because most radiators are made of plastic ( should raised alarm bells here as they said this because mine is aluminum, not an ounce of plastic on it, proving they didn't check my radiator) and just pushed the need to get the repair while they have the vehicle open and ready to work on. I told them that was out of our budget and they tried lowering it to accommodate us- seemed at the time like a nice thing of them to do. I picked it up, paid a little over $200 for the diagnosis and drove it home. I bought a new radiator for $200 and started to take the old one out, and noticed it was bone dry. So I rented a radiator pressure tester kit for free from Autozone (they get 5 stars) and did a 3 minute test on the pressure for the radiator to find the leak- at 2 psi the radiator cap was squirting water and coolant everywhere (mind you, you don't have to take ANYTHING apart to do this test). I went and got a 10 dollar replacement radiator cap, put it on my radiator, and redid the test to try to find the leak.... and it held at 12 psi without dropping, no leaks found. drove the vehicle around and redid the test, no leaks. held its psi. This test I did involved literally doing nothing other than putting a hand pump into the coolant resevoir and pumping..... and I discovered the source of the leak in less than 3 minutes They had the vehicle for an entire day, confirmed on the phone with me that there was a non-repairable crack in the radiator causing the leak, and that it needs to be replaced for $1700, and when i told them that was too much, tried to get me for less money pushing for the repair. NO matter how I think of it from another perspective or angle, there is literally no way an auto shop can, first, accept a car FOR REPAIR, and then after Having it for a day tell us they dont do the repair we brought the car in for in the first place. BUT furthermore, tell us there is a leak in a radiator that is unrepairable and then say it NEEDS to be replaced for 1700. And it took me, a man who is NOT a mechanic, 3 minutes to find out there is in fact zero leaks in the radiator, and the problem is a damaged cap that costs 10 dollars to replace. I see no way those events happen unless they are trying to screw someone over and scam money. DO NOT TRUST THEM!!!!!
