I've always taken my Lexus to the dealership in Bellevue, however, after my last visit and then quoting me $4,000 for maintenance, brakes and axles to be replaced I left thinking I could get a better price elsewhere. I ended up paying the $1,400 for the maintenance but then took my care here to Accurate Auto. I ended up finding out that I didn't need my axles replaced, just needed brakes but that was not a dire emergency either. This business is great. They are HONEST and performed great work! Would not recommend this place. Went here for years and was really good a few years back but recently all my visits have been terrible. Regularly came here for oil changes and checking my cars fluids and started having an issue with my car stalling. Dropped it off here multiple times overnight just for them to tell me nothing was wrong and they couldn't see the issues I was experiencing. Turns out they weren't filling my transmission fluid so I was driving with that empty for at least a month. That's something they SHOULD be doing if I'm asking them to check my fluids... lost my trust and business. read more

My husband took our truck down there because he knows them through his tow company, and we thought we could trust them, we made an appointment to have our heater looked at because the heater in our truck is not working they blew out the heater and said that there's nothing they can do, wth!? they did the same thing with my son-in-law. When they went down they said there's nothing else they can do. They wouldn't tell us what it was they wouldn't try to look for what the problem was and why we don't have a heater in our automobile Working, OK we're done with you and we're moving on. This is the second time in two years that someone I know has taken an automobile there with zero results, what kind of mechanics do they have. We took our RAV4 there because it was not downshifting properly and tended to lug in top gear. We provided some recent service history that might have been relevant. The receptionist called next day and curtly said it needs a new tranny and a rebuilt unit was $7058 installed. I asked if there were any other possible causes and were they confident of that diagnosis. Yes, that was it, new transmission, end of story. I reported this to my wife who called to let them know we'd come to collect it. (She reported a similar conversation but used the word "snippy".) we picked it up and found her the same in person. Turns out there was no charge, and no paperwork. I doubt there was any diagnostic work done before we were told a new transmission was needed. Pretty sketchy. BTW the local Toyota dealer quoted $6000 for the same job but then fixed it with some minor adjustments. read more

I had a burnt out low beam bulb on my 2014 Subaru. Had just had other side replaced 3 weeks ago when it went out, up at Kendall In Marysville. So took my car & purchased lightbulb up to have them replace it. They didn't have bulbs last time I was there so bought one & figured to pay $50-$75 to put it in. Ridiculous fee! They quoted me $145!!!! And I had the new bulb! Decided to go check out Accurate Auto Service in Snohomish where o live & drive past all the time. They put the bulb in for NO charge!!! Honest, and GREAT price rate. They have been around for forever for a reason!! I took my Honda Civic Hybrid to Les Schwab to get the breaks checked because they started making a strange sound (not a normal break squeak). Les Schwab said my brake pads looked fine and but gave me a quote for $400+ just to replace the brake pads. So Eastside Tire (also amazing place) suggested I take it into Accurate Auto. They took the time to take apart my car and figure out what was going on -I needed new brakes completely- and they only charged $280!!! Moreover, they had it done in a half-day!!! Thank you we will for sure be coming back!! One small note though: my husband was uneasy at first due to the woman at the front desk being very short with him, did not give a lot of feedback and somewhat grumpy. But another man (maybe the owner) when we picked it up was super friendly and explained in detail everything they did and he left feeling much better! read more

I recently moved into Snohomish and would like a mechanic closer to home. So I consulted Yelp. Accurate Auto Service popped up with good reviews. I stopped in today with a headlight problem and expected to have to make an appointment. Paul, the owner, took a look at my car right away and provided a fix. My husbands truck started to break down about a mile away from Accurate Auto . He drove it in thinking it would be a few days if not longer for repairs. He was just thrilled they would take it in ( there were a lot of vehicles to be serviced) I picked him up we went grocery shopping and as we were leaving the store got a call from Accurate Auto saying our truck was ready to be picked up !! This was less than an hour after leaving the shop . Needless to say we were thrilled , beyond thrilled ! I was recently visiting family in Washington when my car developed a problem. Since I had 1,800 miles to drive in order to get home it couldn't wait. A friend of the family suggested AAS and I easily found their website. I saw they had an email address and even though it was a Sunday afternoon I decided to email them so they would see it first thing Monday morning. Imagine my surprise when less than 15 minutes later Paul emailed me back and said he would take my car first thing Monday morning! I don't know what was more shocking, the fast response on a weekend or that they could take my car so quickly. We had to work out some minor details and each time Paul answered quickly and answered the questions I'd asked. I brought it in first thing Monday morning and was driving it home by 1 pm! I drove it all the way back to Albuquerque and it's still running perfectly. Even my brother-in-law who does all his own work on his cars (mine was too complicated) was impressed by the price I was charged for the repair. We knew exactly how much the parts should cost because he had called around before we realized the repair was beyond his time limits. Great mechanic and great service. I was having issues with my temperature and was frustrating me. He got my car in as soon as it opened and had me a diagnosis within 2 hours! I took my car in for a/c and heat (neither were working) they diagnosed my car wrong and charged me for the part they replaced and labor, I was told my car was fixed and ready to be picked up. They replaced the blower motor relay and pigtail. I turned my car on and pulled out of their back parking lot and turned on the heat to see if it was working it was only blowing cool air not hot air. I drove maybe 5 ft and my car started shaking and making a loud sound so I stopped and shut my car off and called, one of the guys came out and looked at my car and said the blower motor broke, so they needed to replace it and it would cost me another $150. I asked why if it broke after they touched my car and the kid says "we have to make money somehow." so I left my car with them while they ordered the blower motor. The owner (im assuming that's who called me on thurs 10/14/21) In a rude tone telling me that his guys didn't diagnose my car correctly so he wasn't happy with anything that happened with my car and he was irritated.. I actually felt like he was mad at me, he made me feel like i said something wrong. So I asked the guy "im just wondering why I have to pay for the blower motor when it broke after you guys "fixed" my blower motor relay and pigtail, after your guys touched my car. He was like "its only $150 I don't care you don't have to pay for it." (I was not rude at all when asking i was just curious as to why I had to pay for it because it seems like it was their fault it broke. Mind you, it was a brand new blower motor that was put in a week before.) So then they call me back Friday afternoon telling me they still haven't found 1 part they need because its been discontinued and they have 1 more idea so they asked if they could keep my car thru the weekend and I said thats fine. Monday 10/18/21 I get a call saying my car i ready so I go pick it up and ask for detailed paperwork of everything that was done to my car and the names of the parts. They gave me a vague set of paperwork with nothing on it but how much I paid. I wanted a detailed report so I know exactly what was done to my car and what the names of the parts are so if it ever goes out again I will know what I need to look for. So I got home (10 mins from when I left their shop) and called and asked for a more detailed report and the lady said she doesn't do that on her invoices so I asked her if the owner could write on my paperwork what was done and the names of the parts and she tells me "hold on" and the owner gets on the phone and says "AMY I AM NOT GOING TO DO THAT FOR YOU because you got rude to me on the phone last week (mind you I was not rude at all) I am NOT giving you any warranties or paperwork showing anything because you were rude to me and we did the rest of the work for free, I bent over backwards to make you happy" I told him "how was i rude? I was not rude at all, all I wanted to know is what was exactly done to my car and the name of the parts so if my parts go out on me again I will know what I need to look for or ask for." He continued to be rude to me while telling me "the blower motor, pigtail and blend door in the rear." I'm sorry but I will NOT be taking any vehicles to this shop ever again! The owner or head manager whoever he was was VERY RUDE to me and unprofessional!! I do not like being talked to with such disrespect for just asking a simple question. When I've taken my cars to shops I've always gotten a detailed report of what was done to my vehicle. This was absolute bullshit! So the heat that they "said" they fixed only worked for half a day! I picked up my vehicle mid day mon 10/18, today Tues 10/19 I went to start my vehicle at 8am this morning and the heat was blowing luke warm if that in the front, and did not get hot. In the back it was blowing cold air still! (After saying he replaced the ("blend door") and that all the heat and a/c was working. My fiance called the shop for me (as I was too upset to call because of how rude the owner was to me yesterday and how he got huffy with me on the phone for no reason) and told the office lady he wanted the owner to call him because I want a refund, since my car is obviously NOT working! So the owner called my fiance and immediately got rude with him saying "im not going to refund her because (his reasons) she was rude to me on the phone & because she left me a bad review on the BB." Seriously?! As a business those are NOT reasons to not give a refund especially if my car is STILL NOT working! I feel like I got ripped off! Thank GOD I didnt have to pay anymore than what I paid. This is horrible customer service!! He told my fiance "our guys read the diagnostic wrong" my fiance said "ok that right there is why my fiance shouldn't have to pay for it, thats you guys fault not hers." He then proceeded to tell my fiance "we have to make money!" And he couldn't find the part (the blend door), BUT he told me he replaced it!! But it wasn't on the paperwork.. fishy much?! read more

I recently called and asked if this shop worked on foreign cars. I informed them that I have a Mercedes-Benz C300. They said they work on all types of cars and to have me bring it in. I brought it in last Friday (2/1/19) to have my heat fixed. After it had been at the shop for nearly 3 hours, I was told to bring it to an auto shop that specializes in foreign cars because they don't feel comfortable working on a German made car, despite being told over the phone they could fix it. By that point it was to late to bring it to another shop, and by Monday I was stuck with a car that had no ability to heat up or defrost, in the snow. I work M-F and trying to get my car into be fixed is difficult. They wasted my one day I had to do repairs. The problem is a stuck motor blower, pretty easy fix for an auto shop. Despite my experience the staff were very friendly. I've brought my Honda here before and they never charge for a diagnostic, which some auto shops do. read more

I had taken my 2011 F-150 to Accurate Auto Service a number of times for general service and a couple of sensor issues. Each time I was taken care of beyond expectations. Paul the owner even told me that it was time to get rid of my truck because of all the issues that were going on. I brought in a replacement truck for a pre-purchasse inspection and he told me not to buy it because of the corrosion that had been covered up by undercoating. Accurate auto is the kind of place your dad went to get the family wagon back on the road. Honest and reliable, Paul is a mechanic's mechanic. He won't do any work until you fully understand what the problem is, even if that means taking you into the shop and pointing under the hood for a half hour. He also makes a great neighbor; our community likes having his shop nearby. I see the workers all the time moving cars in and around the alley behind my house. They're always polite and respectful. I am speechless, that honest mechanics still exist. This place is awesome. Paul, the owner went out of his way to fix my door handle, where the rod came loose and I couldn't open the door from the inside. He also called a locksmith, as the key didn't open my door on the passenger side and on the trunk. The locksmith what they use, Snohomish County Mobile Locksmith came out in half an hour and all my locks are working now. The locksmith charged half what they usually charge and Paul from AAS didn't even charge a penny for his labor. I didn't even realize this until I got home and all I can say, what a nice man! As a senior citizen on fixed income, that was a big help. I wish I could give more than 5 stars and I will recommend both businesses to all my friends. Thank you, Paul. I have been in multiple times and recommend this place to everyone I know. It is so refreshing to come across an honest mechanic shop. When my Thunderbird needed a new mass air flow sensor, Paul was kind enough to tell me how easy it would be to replace myself. I chose this shop because of all the positive reviews. So in November 2014 before I moved away from Snohomish, I took my Ford Ranger into this shop to have the intake manifold gasket replaced. Within a couple months the valve covers started leaking. Then a short time after that my check engine light came on. Since I had moved, I spent lots of time to check to see what was causing it. I finally gave up and took it into another shop. They just called and told me the intake manifold did not look like it was replaced and some oil was leaking into the coolant also the cross threaded one of they valve cover screws. Be careful when using this shop. They may be telling you they are replacing parts but are not or may be using inferior parts. read more
