I took my Jeep Wrangler into Aaron's Olympic 4x4 in Snohomish. Being unable to trouble shot multiple codes on this Jeep, I thought I'd give them a try. They spent some time on my jeep trouble shooting it. Unfortunately they weren't able to pin-point the issues that were causing the codes, they believe their all electrical problems. However they did refer to to another shop that might be able to help. I showed up to pickup my Jeep and I was very surprised that they decided not to charge me for their trouble-shooting time. Colin is a square dealer. 100% would recommend his team, despite some bumps in the install I had them do. I had Colin do an install of an SOS Performance Brake kit on my Tacoma. The kit is a little funky and they had to do a lot more work on it than estimated. They estimated 4 hours but it took more than 8. He capped me at 8. I think it probably took his team 12 or so. All good. I wanted it done right. After they did their best, the e-brake was still pretty weak so I had Toyota of Kirkland take a look. They found some opportunities for adjustment and got it solid but it took them a couple hours to get that done. I emailed Colin and he proactively offered to reimburse me for the work Toyota had to do since it was essentially the completion of the work his team did. I didn't have to push him on this at all. He saw my point of view and wanted to make it right. Shook my hand and said my truck was pretty. Solid team. I'd trust them for future work. read more

This is a great shop. They are one of the only places that have Wranglers in salvage; if you're looking for a random OEM part you can likely find it here for cheap. They also carry a wide selection of reputable 4x4 parts; as well as reasonably priced installs. Their techs are all very solid and have tons of cumulative off-road experience. I took my TJ here earlier this year for a few particular seals that I didn't feel comfortable tackling myself. They got me in in a timely manner with my appointment and had the repair done in less than the quoted time. Dana who oversees the repairs/installs is courteous and on his game. I'd also like to add that the seals went out a few months later and my transmission was leaking again, they replaced the seals and snuck me in right before the 4th of July weekend and covered the repeat repair. They are not cheap but do quality work. I had a bumper and winch installed for my Tacoma. They were true on the estimate and had some extras in the install. Also The trucks' skid plate didn't fit and they had to take it off but supported me after the job was done in getting one in without charge. After my truck was in a collision and the bumper was damaged they communicated with me on alternatives. I highly recommend this shop for any installs you need to do for off-roading. read more

I live very close, so I walk over. I get a free calendar yearly since I moved to the neighborhood. They even have a Bar-B-Q & 4X4 show in late spring/summer. Mostly friendly staff, but they do get busy, and they aren't like officially trained like a major retail outlet, good or bad, but they'll be honest. Parts can be oddly priced, so maybe call at least 1 other place. New parts are pretty competitive, for used parts they charge to have Todd walk out disassemble, and bring back (no matter what condition). If this is what you want - Perfect! If you'd rather pull it yourself and save call around, there are plenty of cheap junkyards. Olympic is more of a specialty 4X4 shop - good stuff - they ship all over - custom stuff - and, good mechanics from my experience. I've even had mechanics come outside and look at my Cherokee - for free, while 'on the clock' and tell me his thoughts/ assessment. read more

These guys are shady and unethical!! They gave me a bid and I confirmed the price before leaving my Jeep with them. I go to pick it up and the price is 600.00 more!! They never asked for more money and never told me they were gonna charge me more than the bid/estimate price!! They had my Jeep in the back, blocked in with a forklift and did not move the forklift until I paid. They would not budge on the added charges and I had to pay or not get my Jeep!! I did not authorize any extra charges, they never asked!! This was my second time having them do work and the last time!! I guess they figured my build was done, no more future work to make money off, and they could rip me off!! They kind of did the same thing the first time I went there. Tell me one price on the phone that sounds good, cheaper than their competitors. Get there and the price is 400.00 bucks more. Shady, shady, shady. LOVE this place. I re-built a 1968 Ford Bronco about 2 years ago. Had some transmission issues after it was done, and no one could figure out what was going on. I had to wait a couple of months which was a pain, but it was completely worth the wait. They were honest and could have definitely taken advantage of me, but they didn't. They did the work over a couple of weeks and completely re-built the transmission. It has never driven so well! read more

After a lot of research (and getting burned at some other highly regarded shops), I finally found my "go to" spot. I had to drive an hour to get there, but it's well worth the trek. Called this AM to see if he could check security video, since while shopping at Olympic with a friend yesterday, my truck was hit in their parking lot. He could not ID who hit and ran, but did take a look at my bumper, brought out a great tool and was able to straighten it out and make it look almost new again. Left ANGRY. Asked their fab guy "Dana" if he could make a bumper for my jeep. He said it would be cheaper to buy a smittybilt off the shelf. I explained that I want to support the local economy. He said it was Chinese steel anyway. When I persisted he made it clear that their fab shop is for buggies and extreme wheelers. I guess my willingness to pay top dollar put him off! I can handle mistakes but when I drove the 6 hour round trip to finish a jeep project over the weekend, to find out they gave me the wrong part... I draw the line.... not only did they give me the wrong part but when I called, they flat out told me its not our fault.... then Olympic 4x4 wouldn't ship the right part til I sent the wrong part back.. so I had to cough up more money for shipping... so I got them there part back in the time they told me to and they promised to send the part and I would have it the following weekend.... well, this review is being posted the following weekend and still no part...... each time I called to check up , they had no answers of when it would arrive or who they even shipped the package with... between them being closed sun, mon, and shipping through ups which doesn't ship on Saturdays... this company only ships tues-friday........ great business plan guys!!!! I definitely will be getting parts elsewhere.... e-bay has better prices and free shipping on most.... so much for supporting a Washington mom and pops store in Snohomish!!! Still no part..........
