I had a leaking high pressure hose on power steering pump in a 5.0 Chevy pickup. I told Crosson what the problem was and also said the pump itself had been recently replaced by another repair shop. Crosson insisted I needed a diagnostic ($295) even though I knew, they knew exactly what was wrong. If I was disabled, that work would have taken a hour or so in my driveway. The steering does work better now. Feels like gouging to charge that kind of extra money for a known, customer specified issue. Be aware, they do this. read more

Charlie Crosson no longer owns this business so you don't get the same fair and honest pricing as you used to get. They don't advertise that the place is under new ownership; they kept the Crosson name to trick people into thinking it's still owned by Charlie. We used to go there for all of our repairs, but the costs are way higher than other local shops. I don't like this for Charlie and Deb because they created an honest and fair business that the new owners are exploiting and this isn't how Crosson built his successful business. read more

I took my Chevy in because I had a 2,500 mile road trip to get to my new job and there was a check engine light going on and off. I took it to two different shops that wouldn't even look at it because the light had gone off. Lucky for me, I took it to Crossons. Ashley and the team were AMAZING and they totally saved me a wild amount of headache and money in the long run. My turbo charger had gone out and my a/c line was leaking. They helped me work in the extended warranty and were incredible about keeping me in the loop. I'm now safely in Arizona, headed to my new job in Texas, thanks to them. If I were still living in Lake Stevens and if/when I return I will only take my cars here. This was hands down the best experience I've ever had in a seriously unfortunate situation. I don't write reviews but in this case it's well deserved. I brought my truck in with an electrical short blowing a fuse, related to the speedometer and the transmission shifting hard.They did find the airbag module blown causing the issue. I also had them change the ball joints on both sides. When I talked to the mechanic he said my passenger side was bad, I said that's funny the other shop in lake Stevens said it was the driver side that was bad.. I told him when I hit a bump there is something loose on the driver side. Well I got the truck back, 2800 dollars later, the speedometer was bouncing all over the place when the truck got up to speed. I called them right away and brought the truck back in. They said they troubleshoot he dash cluster and it would cost me another 500 dollars and they didn't do anything to cause this issue. They obviously didn't take the truck for a test drive after the initial work, or they would have realized the speedometer was messed up, also the front end still had an issue. The manager claimed that the speedometer didn't work when I brought it in, so it wasn't thier responsibility.. Terrible customer service and extremely over priced. A replacement cluster could have been picked up for under 150.00 on Ebay but they wanted to send the cluster out for repairs. The manager wouldn't even discuss a discount or spilting the cost or anything. Very very disappointing in this establishment, and will never return to have any work done there... BEWARE!!! read more

I'm loath to give 5 stars anytime, but Crosson's has proven themselves to deserve them. My son takes his cars here all the time. We had only been living in the Seattle area for a 18 months, 50 miles from this shop, but just a short time before leaving to move back to Minnesota we had a can't wait kind of car repair needed. It was an expensive fix also. To sum up, they fixed it and found another scary little problem in there and fixed it to. It's all good. We didn't drive this car much, and we used a car transport trailer moving it back to Minnesota. Once we got here and we're driving it a lot, we noticed a problem. We called Crosson's and they were great! Took care of the problem and stood behind their words. That's pretty unusual these days! Much appreciated Guys! read more

I took in my car today due to a bad leak, and I got a call pretty quickly after. The mechanic explained that the repairs would be somewhat extensive, and was up front with how much parts and labor would be. I decided based on the age and state of my vehicle that it wasn't worth it, and when I went to pick it up they didn't even charge me for the inspection! Just picked up my car from Crossens. I needed a timing belt installed, so shopped around a little and checked Yelp. Others gave me estimates from $1200 on up for the timing belt and other components usually changed out simultaneously (such as water pump). I had used Crossens several years back, and had always been treated fairly. The repairs were always done well with no issues, so when Crossens estimated $1100 for the work, I scheduled the appointment. They did the work as promised and surprised me with a total cost of only $950! This was a surprise, and something I seldom experience- a final cost lower than the estimate. I highly recommend this business, but you will likely need to book your appointment early because they are becoming very busy. read more

It's nearly impossible to find good and honest mechanics. Crosson's exceed in both areas. I've brought my vehicles to them for years and have never been disappointed. These people are great!! I had them work on my truck because I heard they are honest and do good quality work. They did a great job at fixing my truck and the price was lower than what they originally quoted. They could have charged me the original quoted price but they did not. On the way home my truck had some unrelated issues and broke down. When I called them, they sent a technician out to see what was wrong and to help me get my truck home. You do not get this kind of service from most places. I will recommend Crosson's to anybody that needs their vehicle repaired. So I have been looking for a mechanic as both of our vehicles are taking turns dying or breaking down in one fashion or another. I can't buy new.. so I need a long term relationship with a reliable and HONEST mechanic. What did I do? I went to yelp and I found a five star mechanic listed and some good reviews about Crosson's. So I arrived on a day off as they don't work on Saturday. I scared the lady I think because I talked about a long term relationship and trust issues. I really was talking about the business.. LOL LOL. Anyway, appointment was set out 10 days. We missed it due to an emergency and the kind lady worked us back in 2 days later. When it came to the diagnostics and what to work on first, Chris our mechanic called and was not only kind, efficient and honest but interested in helping me do the right thing as affordably as possible. We are operating on 1/3 or our income currently and he was most sensitive to that. We made the choice of what item to work on to get my car up and running for the waiver for emissions and to get my car back on the road. This same procedure cost me over $400 at Discount Tire in Marysville and they actually never worked on the car they just screened it and lost the codes... so just in diagnostics Crossons won. Chris fixed the one code error and the cost was $230 for a thermo sensor and synthetic blend oil change. Good work and nice service. I have another date set to work on the other vehicle and already know the cost and how long it will take. Chris also took the time with me to help me make a list of which item on which vehicle and what order to get things fixed in. We are in such trouble with our cars and have so much need and not enough money. But I have such confidence in these guys and know that they are NOT taking advantage... Crosson's was recommended to us by coworkers, when we were experiencing some mechanical difficulties w/ our truck that we just couldn't figure out on our own. Though my husband has extensive auto repair experience, w/out the proper tools or machines, sometimes it's like looking for a needle in a haystack. Our first visit was for an anti-freeze smell, but we couldn't find the source anywhere. Charlie and Chris gave it a thorough once over and assured us that the tiny leak they found in our 15 year old truck was not worth spending any money on at the time and only charged us for the quick shop time. Our 2nd visit involved our spending about 2 months replacing O2 sensors and other parts because of the truck continually throwing codes. We could have allowed it to nickel and dime us and still wouldn't have found the source, because we didn't have the proper diagnostic machines. So, even though we had to wait to get in (which is normal, these guys are so busy), Chris diagnosed the problem quickly and gave us a very fair price on repair, saving us the headaches, the time to do it ourselves and ensuring it was done correctly. I would recommend Crosson's to anyone as they have proven themselves reputable and respectful of us as customers. read more

I cannot believe more people have not left more fantastic reviews about Crosson's. The owner and his staff are the most honest people to be found! My family have taken all our cars here for years and have always been impressed with each visit. I've taken my Accord to Klein Honda many times (since Crosson's isn't open weekends) but always end up waiting to get my car into Crosson's. Example: Honda said a burning smell was coming from the front area of my car, even though the smell was coming from the rear of the car. $1500 to fix they said. I waited and got into Crossan's and they located the problem (in the rear) and fixed it for about $300. No more bad smell. I just bought a new car and refused to take it anywhere else for a buyer inspection. I will only bring my vehicle and new vehicle to Crosson's! You guys are great!!! read more
