We were in a pinch, as our water pump needed to be replaced before a coming road trip. Our regular mechanic could not fit us in, but he recommended ONB, who was able to get us in that day (mid-July of 2026). ONB staff were very courteous and helpful, and good communicators. They replaced the water pump and found a few other concerns. Prices seemed high. They also asked if we wanted our rear brakes replaced (citing 4 mm status). We said no thank you but after our vacation double checked our paperwork from our regular mechanic. Sure enough, he had replaced our rear brakes in March of 2026. Since then, we'd put 1600 miles on the car. As a result of this observation by ONB, we took our car back to the original mechanic in August 2026. He wanted to confirm that the brakes were not defective. He removed the wheels and confirmed that they were still in perfect condition. Our mechanic stated that our front brakes would eventually need to be replaced, but no time soon. So, we were left wondering why ONB told us this information. My husband reached out to Tyler at ONB, asking why we were told our rear brakes were at risk. Tyler was polite and willing to dialogue. He stated that they must have made an error, that perhaps they wrote the information for another customer on our account. Tyler said that they wouldn't have replaced the rear brakes had we brought them in and the mechanic discovered their error. When my husband revealed that the front brakes were needing eventual replacement, Tyler stated that this must have been the issue - they meant to write front, not rear. In the best-case scenario, they would have discovered their error and not replaced the rear brakes. Worst case scenario, they were lying to us and trying to get us in for extra work. $600 would have been an abnormally high price for a serpentine belt and tensioner replacement... ONB charged me $1,000! On a separate occasion they misdiagnosed on a problem on my SUV where they wanted $6,000 for a repair I didn't need. I really wanted to like this shop as some of my friends had recommended, but I won't be coming back. read more

If I could leave lower than one star, I really would. I went here a while back to get my car checked out and they couldn't figure out what was wrong with it without having to run some diagnostics that would cost thousands of dollars I ended up going to a different auto Mechanic who charged me $80 for diagnostics And let me know everything that was wrong showed me photos and explained to me what was going on, at ONB auto repair they had told me they were going to show me photos after they looked at my car and they never showed me photos. they didn't give me clarification on what they found. Actually they said they didn't really find anything and that they would have to do a test to run fluid through to figure out if it even had an oil leak the other mechanic figured out it had a blown head gasket within 15 minutes of looking at it if that doesn't show the lack of skill that ONB auto repair has that I don't know what does. I'm now getting spam text from here telling me to bring my car in and that they have deals ( no deal is good with their pricing and stupidity) So I'm at the point where I am putting this post out and I'm about to block their number and hope to dear God that they don't text me or that I ever have to think of them again I do want to note that there is a lot more points to this experience that I could point out, but this would turn into a book. The people there were nice, but obviously trying to scam me into more work that wasn't even worth it for the car they also told me that they bought their parts from third-party Manufactures rather than the original manufacturer and their pricing did not match the aspect that they're paying for cheaper parts its was still a bend over and get railed kind of experience for the price the only people I would send here for help is people I truly despise read more

Here's an update to my review of ONB Automotive Repair: After paying $200 and not getting any answers from the shop whether there was a transmission problem, I took my car to AAA Transmission and Automotive. Jeremy drove my car for a short distance to move my car and diagnosed the problem as my clutch. He was correct and I picked up my car in four days with a new clutch and grinded flywheel for a price that was the estimated quote. Moral of the story: Consider AAA Transmission and Automotive for a transmission problem. read more

I made an apt to take my truck in with a check engine light on and they said that their tech hurt himself, come back next week. The next week they said it was a wire connection shorting out and they could fix it. 3 days and $918.80 later (and it was just a faulty wire plug) it's still doing the same thing! They tried to tell me that my glow plugs were bad (trusting that the were reputable) I agreed to have them all replaced, but they couldn't replace them all and charged me the same! So, here I sit less over $900 and still have a broken vehicle that I'm afraid to take back to them....... And the gal at the counter was wearing a see through face mask!!!!!! It was some stone studded imitation of a mask that I could see right through. Really? And after posting on Yelp that he would like to fix this I was sent the following txt msgs (see attachments) adding insult to injury instead of actually helping to fix the actual problem that I took the vehicle in for. Is this who you want working on your vehicle? And in a Better Business complaint that I filed they claim that it's a "Poorly, if any, maintained rust bucket" Really? Brought in my 2005 Trailblazer LS when it seemed to have erratic idle at freeway speeds and the crew at ONB did an outstanding job thoroughly diagnosing the issue. Which turned out to be several small issues. Unless you like text and email spam, stay away from these guys. I went in for a transmission fluid change and they recommended I make an unnecessary fix to the radiator reservoir. In fact, their stop-gap proposal of topping off the reservoir w/ more coolant was a bad one; it just caused the excess coolant to leak into the ventilation system, causing the vehicle to reek of antifreeze. But ever since they got my contact info, they now harass me on (initially) a weekly and now monthly basis. I moved their emails to spam, BUT NOW THEY'RE SENDING UNSOLICITED TEXT MESSAGES TO ME. Here's a tip: Nobody want to be engaged by you or your brain dead, rude marketing guy. Just do your job right and maybe you'll get repeat business. read more

Really wanted to have an awesome new mechanic after moving to Everett. I see they have signs that their lead tech or manager has been out since January, perhaps his presence is needed. First tried requesting an appointment on their website. Received no call for days. I showed up and they knew about my request but said "oh yeah someone was supposed to call you".... They seem a bit disorganized. So I knew the issue and approximate price range of the repair for my car. They called with a list of stuff they also wanted to do and quoted me thousands of dollars. They also were arbitrarily factoring technician difficulty and issues into their standard labor costs. I've had a lot of classic, rare and unusual cars and worked with dozens of terrific mechanics. This shop is not one of them, currently. I went to Evergreen and they quickly made room for me in their very busy schedule and did everything I needed for $1500 less than ONB quoted me. read more

I took my Jeep into this shop for some heavy work and they did it in 5 hours even though they quoted me 6 1/2 and then politely called me and let me know what would be shaved off the bill. I used to go to All it Takes Automotive in Everett, but when they closed, Jeff the owner told me that he was going to ONB and when I heard that, I want their phone number and address. Jeff and Mike are super friendly, honest and tell me what I really need vs what can wait till next time. As a female that doesn't know anything about vehicles, it's great to find a place where the guys are willing to show you what is a good and what is a bad part, they treat me like I'm their own daughter. These guys rock! I had taken my car to another mechanic who had just done a real hack job on my ford focus. O.N.B found all the problems that were cause by the other mechanic, and some that the other mechanic just totally missed! For instance, I had a bad intake manifold and PCV valve that the other mechanic put back on to a brand new engine. Kind of a rookie mistake, and O.N.B caught it and probably saved my engine a lot of problems in the long run. Their service is very friendly, they explain everything they do, and are real sticklers for documentation, which is awesome!! I took their paperwork and pictures showing everything that was done wrong to the other mechanic, and he had no choice but to refund me for all the things that they missed. Two of our vehicles each had two flats and we were frustrated and angry at this mishap. To solve this problem, I called ONB Automotive and an amiable gentleman named Mike answered the phone and was prompt in saying come on over and we'll help and so that's what we did. ONB Automotive lent us their mobile air tank to get the vehicles to their lot and once there, we used their other air compressor to get us on our way. Thank you Tyler for the repetitive refills! Took my 1997 F-150 in to have them look into why it was surging at idle. Problem was intermittent so it was hard to replicate. They were not able to find the issue, they spent 1.1 hours @ $120 per hour which is their hourly rate. I decided to not have them spend anymore time on the diagnosis, they indicated that it would take another hour at least to do a full diagnosis. Most shops i have been to don't nickle and dime people to the tenth of an hour, especially for diagnosis. I will try another auto shop in Everett. Update 11-19-2017: The problem turned out to be a dirty throttle plate, it took a can of throttle body cleaner to fix the issue myself. Now idles normal. read more

I was in desperate need of an oil change and was sitting in my car looking up places for an oil change nearby after a meeting. The usual suspects popped up, but I had already had my experiences with the oil service chains, and none of them had been pleasant. I went to Yelp. Yes, Yelp and looked at ratings. ONB popped up with over 4 stars. I called and asked if I could get my car in, even though they only took appointments. Sure enough, they fit me in and in five minutes I was at their counter. Mike is an amazing service advisor, as was Dave. Aaron, who actually worked on my car, was personable and efficient. While sitting there a few loyal customers came in and I could see that customer service is No. 1 for ONB. They are top notch, honest and fun to work with. Recently, we needed a repair that would be quite expensive, and Mike told us that he did not think we should make the repair on that vehicle, it ws time to replace the car instead. Never deal with this shop again. I was duped and cheated by the front salesman. The original estimate was $550 to $750 top. I let them took the car in. A week later, I got a call, the repair was $750. No problems, ready to pick up the car. Got 2nd call, they found few more issues that they suggest to be taken care of. I agreed. A week later, I got a 3rd call which they asked me to pay $3500. I was so surprised, but I had to do it and ate the bullet. Never deal with them again. Super frustrated. We spent a lot of money here taking some off our vehicles over two weeks. We were happy until the last one. We got a quote over the phone on the maintenance repair and it was on the high end. We agreed to the price thinking, "That's higher than we want to pay, but at least it will be done well and over with". When my husband went in, we were charged 200 more than the quote over the phone! I had him go back in and ask why, and the man said, " Sorry I forgot to include such in such in that quote". I don't think that's my problem. They should have called and said it was more. They weren't willing to adjust the price either. I wouldn't have followed through with the whole thing if I knew the REAL price. Very frustrated. I thought I finally found a good honest auto place, now I have to start my search again. So frustrating. I guess you can't take people for their word anymore. read more
