There are many websites online that claim to offer lower prices for large replacement OEM parts, but these prices rarely hold up once you reach the shipping step. It needed lift maintenance and a couple minor parts replacements - which I knew about in advance. I was quoted a price which seemed entirely reasonable. The service guy, Alex, texted me quoting a price on the necessary parts. I guided him to a place online where the parts were significantly less expensive. He thanked me and sourced the parts there. They added no markup and completed the repairs in a reasonable amount of time. At the end of the day I knew I was going to have to drop some coin on a repair that I was not ready to do myself. I actually spent less than I thought it would cost and feel like I got a really good deal for what I paid. I am having a hard time finding the words to express my relief at not being mislead or 'taken' by a service department...which sadly seems to be the standard.
