I would only ever get an oil change from here to be honest. I recently brought my car here for an oil change and they do their thing come out saying what else needs to be fixed etc. they said my rear differential fluid was very low and looking not great. I said to skip it and I would go to my mechanic. I took to the mechanic and they said everything looked great and nothing needed to be done. Very shady in my opinion. read more

I went in for an oil change, first time with current car because I've been going to other places. Based on previous reviews I was a little concerned but that quickly faded when I started talking with the person checking me in. He told me all about their process, prices and how long it would take. I watched the crew work on my car because I'm always curious to see people work on things, they were very careful, precise and good at communicating with each other. They finished the full service oil change in 15-mins, which included vacuuming, outside glass cleaning, filter checks and topping off the windshield wiper fluid. There is a new manager there who told me they will be adding brake service within the next couple of weeks. With all the other services they provide they are working on being a one stop shop. Based on this experience I'll definitely take my car back in 5-months or 5,000 miles, whichever comes first. read more

Horrible service! And or the employee didn't know what they were talking about or lied out right to my wife. I generally change the oil myself or have the Jeep dealer change it as it is so convenient. I asked my wife if she could stop at grease monkey to get my oil changed for me. I told her standard oil was fine as that is what the dealership puts and also what is called for on the attached owners manual screenshot. The employee demeaned me to my wife and implied to her that I was stupid and did not know what was best for the Jeep. He needs to go back to school on vehicle knowledge. Open a manual and also get his customer service skills fixed. He went on about liability but was already trying to change the oil. Kudos Grease Monkey @ 132nd/39th (in front of ABM). I had an extra 45 minutes to spare, needed an oil change and the only one near me was this Grease Monkey location. I called in advance to see how much more expensive than normal it would be and got a ballpark of $100 plus tax. All said and done I was in and out in about 15 minutes. Full synthetic, 8 quarts and I even got some clean floor mats out of the deal. I think it was $125-130. I was 3 courts over their standard 5 and needed a special oil filter. Pretty impressive actually. The normal upsells which are always expected. Total honesty from these gents. In and out, no line, no fuss, no hidden charges. By comparison, Jiffy Lube quoted $180 plus tax. if I had tried shopping I probably could have found it for $100 but at $125 time won over cost on this one. Give them a shot! read more

Grease monkey sent us 2 coupons for their service a few days ago, one for 10% all services, the other for $5 off an oil change. My wife went in for her oil change and was told that neither of these coupons were valid for her oil change. Feel free to go here if you want them to take advantage of you. I came here for the first time for an oil change, and the gentlemen working here (Chris and Spencer) took excellent care of me and my car. I stopped going to Jiffy Lube because of their crappy customer service. I really appreciate it when automotive guys go out of their way to treat a female customer with respect, and don't try to up-sell unnecessary services. They also installed new windshield wipers that I purchased from Costco with no extra charge. Grease Monkey just got a new a customer for life! read more

After years of going to this place and putting up with terrible and unfriendly service, led by the manager (big dude with a mustache), I drove a few blocks down to Jiffy Lube at Murphy's Corner. The whole experience was like night and day. They were way more friendly, way more professional, and they did it in less than half the time. Grease Monkey behind the Buffalo Chevron has lost my business forever and Jiffy Lube at Murphy's corner has got it for good! I encourage anyone to drive the extra few blocks. You'll be glad you did. Owner makes me cut my hair and buy shoes for the job then the day I come in tries to pawn me off to the one in Edmonds when they already said I had the job in everett. Not to mention I applied in everett before they hired another employee, he gets the job in everett and they still tried to send me to Edmonds. Next time let your employees know where there gonna work before they invest there time and money into working for you. Been going here a while.. Mostly it's pretty good. Last few times the help has just been a little too arrogant. Today I sent my 17 year old son there to get his 2017 Honda Civic an oil change. First oil change with 3500 miles on car. It was $80. My son said they told him that this car "requires" synthetic oil. I am not here to debate the benefits of synthetic oil. But it does not "require" it. In fact the owners manual does not state it and lightly states you may use it. Not even really a recommendation. Sorry won't go back. I've never been to a Grease Monkey but I got a coupon in the mail for one of the "super" oil changes and figured why not. When I pulled up one of the employees opened my door for me-nice enough, except he door dinged the car next to me. The guy got out and began yelling at me about how I shouldn't have parked so close to his car if I couldn't open my door without hitting him. Guess who the guy yelling at me was? THE OWNER! Came here today for the first time. Quick and friendly. Got my oil changed with coupon. 6 qt synthetic oil for $79.95 out the door. Couldn't have been easier. 20 minutes in and out. They would get 4 or more stars if they weren't such a hard sell for wipers or transmission flushes or air filters or other things that I completely do not comprehend. EVERY time I come here they try to up sell me to something that's at least $60 or more. I hate this part of the visit. I always tell them I'll have my dad do it for me later because it's such a hard sell. Yuck. Other than that, I've always had fantastic customer service, they always vacuum the front seats, and they always give me a new trash bag, which is my favorite part! read more

After my first oil change here, I got a 10$ coupon. On second oil change, I forgot to bring it so they gave me standard 5$ off. But right after billing, I realized that email will do as well (desk person didn't care to remind to check if I have it in email). When I asked them to take the coupon from email, they said since the billing is done, it cannot be changed. Have you heard of a business where billing cannot be changed because "it is already done" ? They are a bit pushy with the services, but at least the work *seems* to be done correctly. Jiffy Lube broke my husband's brand new engine that only had 20,000 miles on it because they didn't put the screw back on the oil pan! So far, Grease Monkey seems to put all the parts back together correctly (wow, what high expectations I have!) but you do have to watch out for the "extra services" they try to get you to spend money on. You can easily walk out of there spending $75+ when you intended to spend $20-40 on an oil change. The guy I dealt with the last time even said, "Now, I already told you that this needed to be done last time and you still haven't done it." C'mon, Mr. Grease Monkey guy, I don't want to spend $100 on an oil change - feel free to tell me if a light is out or that my wipers need replacing and maybe I'll consider it, but in the meantime, I just want my oil changed, not a freakin' guilt trip sales pitch, thank you very much. Please rest-assured that if I need other services, I'll be going to a professional mechanic or the dealership. Can you pick 0 stars....We take all our company trucks (roughly 10 trucks) in here, everytime we go there is an entirely different crew. This time I was told they wouldn't change the oil with what the vehicle manufacturer requires because the oil they have (Delo 15w40) doesn't meet the specs. It's not a new vehicle, and it doesn't require anything more than 15w40 as it's a diesel. However they wanted to push a Kendall synthetic 5w40. The unfortunate thing is, the vehicle specs change and oils change as the vehicles get newer but this vehicle requires 15w40, so what you're telling me is everytime we have brought this truck in you changed the oil with Delo 15w40 and it was acceptable and now suddenly it doesn't meet the manufacturer spec....we didn't put a different engine in it, and we didn't buy a new vehicle. The engine and manufacturer specs haven't changed (not for this specific vehicle anyways, it's the same as it was the last time we brought it in), but clearly the employees ability to understand oil and ratings wasn't taught properly or they don't care. Went to another grease monkey service center and they told me the vehicle requires standard oil....funny how the story changed from one grease monkey to the next. Even better was the guy trying so hard to push an oil that wasn't required got all pissy when I told him he was wrong. Started off by saying "I really hate when people come in here and think " then realized I was right behind him and instantly hushed. Yes I may currently be in another industry, but before this I spent 19 years in the automotive industry being a tech and managing stores and am not randomly pulling facts put of thin air.....surprise I actually know what I'm talking about and I guarantee I'm not the only customer this lack of training has been pushed on, difference is I know better and I've taught crews better than that. When it's all about the upsell, with poor training and crap attitude it no longer becomes about customer satisfaction or customer service... unfortunate really. read more

I have used Jiffy Lube for years for my vehicles and after my last absolutely horrible experience was bound and determined to find a place who wouldn't up sell, or put the oil filter in wrong and cause hundreds of dollars in damages to my vehicles. I also came back from a 3000 mile trip to San Diego this week and they fit me right in. I knew the air filter would need to be changed due to driving through 3 states with fires and smoke. They had me in and out in 14 minutes and no up-selling to any unnecessary services. Waiting room was clean and coffee and water available for their customers. Will definitely come back again. Prices were very competitive for the area and they didn't try to sell the more expensive of the oil change options. read more

I stopped in at Grease Monkey at Buffalo Square even though my daughter's car was not yet due for service. She had been smelling a 'burnt plastic' smell coming from the engine even though her car wasn't running hot. I asked if they would check all the fluid levels, and if they could check if something was possibly stuck underneath the car that would cause the smell. Scott, the Manager, called me out to show me that, indeed, a plastic grocery bag had become stuck and burnt onto the exhaust pipe under the vehicle. I was so relieved to discover the cause of the odor, and they sent me on my way with no charge for their time and inspection. Between the quality of work, fair prices, honesty, and outstanding customer service, it's not surprising that we take all our cars here for oil change service! Thank you Grease Monkey!! read more

Last Friday as I was driving down the road my oil light came on, which had never happened before. Very soon after that my car died in the middle of BE hwy. I was able to take it to the nearest oil change place which was Jiffy Lube. They informed me that I not only had NO oil in my car, but that my oil filter was GONE! They fixed everything for FREE, and I then drove straight to Grease Monkey as they were the last ones to change my oil. I spoke to the manager and told him what had happened. His responses to me were... 1. "What you are saying makes no sense." 2. Oh, Jiffy Lube has a reputation for lying. 3. "I once heard of a case where someone tampered with his exes car.., not saying that happened to you.." Not at any time was an apology offered. Not one time did he ask if I or my car was ok. I asked for NOTHING. No refund, nothing. All I did get were a bunch of excuses and denials. NEVER NEVER again!!!! read more

There was a time several years ago that I would not come here, but now this is where I bring my cars. Their prices are very fair and they do a good job. Sometimes they have suggestions for additional services, but other times they've told me I'm good with just an oil change. When they do ask me about additional services they've never been overly pushy....they just note on my invoice so I can have it done next time or do it myself. They've been pretty friendly and their waiting area is usually clean with plenty of drinks, magazines and wifi. I always use a coupon and never had a problem or been treated any different....in fact they seem happy that I have a coupon. I think they get paid hourly, so I don't think the really care either way if I have a coupon. I'll continue to be a regular. read more
