We went into Firestone today for an issue with our air conditioner. After a few minutes the manager Jack Kay called us over to explain that the compressor was not working and asked us if we were aware that there was an extended warranty on the exact problem we were having and he suggested that we go to the dealer and have it checked out. We also need some other repairs done and we will be going back to Firestone Millcreek to have them done. We have always had such great service from Jack and his crew. My fleet car had a scheduled service allocated to it to be completed at the nearest Firestone location. The team at this location were all extremely courteous, and helpful. They helped me right away, and order the needed part as soon as they located the service request within the system. The service should have taken under an hour incomplete, but due too the parts delivery company being late or slow respond. Kudos for the Firestone team going over and beyond to not only track down a part for my car but other parts for others as well. I was a customer at this location ever since the store opened but after being charged over $200 to swap winter tires year before last, I had't returned until today. Serious mistake as I could have gone to a dealer and completed an oil change in an hour or less. I had a 11AM appointment which I arrived at before the time. My car wasn't pulled into the shop until 11:45. At 12:20, I asked when the oil change for my car might be completed. The service rep told me mthey were short handed, then went into the shop to inquire, returning to tell me they had to fill the engine with oil. I finally got my car keys and the bill at 12:52. Two hours out of my day to get an oil change is unacceptable, especially when waiting for the service to be completed. Other than alignments for which I have a lifetime agreement, I will go elsewhere for service. They have no respect for customer's time. read more

I made an appointment online for the exact day and time I wanted, this is not always the case for all Firestone locations, most of my experiences I have a hard time getting the day and time I want. Zero stars for the employees at Firestone in Mill Creek (I think someone named Erin changed my tire). I have had to visit fire stone, a couple times prior due to an emergency and after this visit, my family and I have decided to never go again. After a very difficult morning, getting a flat tire from a giant nail, I stopped at Firestone since it was the closest place to my home and had two small kids in our car. When I picked up my vehicle, my tire was found in the backseat as photos are shown as you can see, I have light colored seats, but even if I had dark colored seats, I would be extremely upset that my filthy tire that has touched. God knows what is literally laying on my children's car seats and on my light colored interior. I'm incredibly shocked and I am upset they even had the audacity to charge me after I'll now have to pay much more just to detail this mess. Do better Firestone people!!! read more

I made my appointment online and thought it was the starter, due to the age of my vehicle I had to get a diagnostic first. I got a call a few hours later saying the technician couldn't replicate the issue so I said I was coming back to get the car. By the time I got back they were able to confirm it was the starter and said it could be fixed and picked up in a couple of hours. When I finally picked it up, Scott who had been working with me all along apologized for the miscommunication and gave me a substantial discount. So I got an oil change on February 11. I always go there to change my oil. I like to go there. But there have been a couple of times when I have been on time or earlier for my appointment. On this particular day, I was a little bit early and didn't expect them to cater to me and do it early. I waited in the waiting space and decided to if they had finished. Lo and behold they had finished the oil change. Yes, they did tell me it was going to take an hour. But when I checked it had been 30 minutes. So I waited patiently for him to let me know that my car was finished. Now I know they must be very busy. But waiting another 40 minutes is ridiculous when he could've taken a few minutes to check me out, out his busy time, which I think he didn't seem that busy. It took my transaction about a few minutes to finish. All it was paying and out the door. read more

Based on other reviews, this isn't the most popular business. It rates at 2.6 stars with 135 or so reviews on Yelp as I write this. So maybe it's how the stars align on any given day. My experience was definitely five stars. I called two other reputable auto shops who wanted to replace my 2014 Subaru Crosstrek Limited air conditioner compressor without even seeing the vehicle. Firestone offered an initial inspection and recommendations, so I brought the car to them. In the first hour, they diagnosed the issue as leaking o-rings and asked if I wanted to replace them and recharge the system. I assumed the 10-year old rubber needed to be replaced, but I worried there might be other issues. There weren't. O-rings replaced and AC fixed. Many other shops would have replaced elements that were not defective. Firestone performed honest auto care and I'm both grateful and impressed. So, yeah, five stars from me. Came in because my suspension belt snapped. All they had to do was put it on, I even brought the new one in. I understood when they said they couldn't take parts brought in (though I am beyond pissed that their part cost double), but was annoyed that they had to get it delivered, so they had to keep my car overnight. They also did a full care package without asking, which they then charged me for. I eventually gave consent to do a vehicle inspection, even though I knew the belt snapped because it was worn, I let them talk me into it. I was right, they didn't find anything else. When the belt snapped it hit the coolant, and there's a crack. But Firestone says it's not a bad leak and is okay to not fix, and let me drive away while telling me my tires need replacing. The price went up $100 every time I talked to them. When I asked at drop off how much it should be, he said around $180, then the next day it was $288, and finally $364! My final total ended up being $322, so I'm not sure where some of these numbers even came from. I will not be coming back here, or any Firestone. read more

Turns out the light was still not working and when confronted the man told us we could bring it in to fix, it turns out they charged us and told us the job was complete but had actually done nothing to the car. I took my car in on Friday which was January 26th and my vehicle was running perfectly fine when I brought it in. I had a few errands to run and then on my way home. I noticed my car was running really rough and at a stoplight. It was literally bouncing. I called Firestone and told them that my car was acting weird and idling fast and shaking at the stoplights and that my car was perfectly fine when I brought it in and they told me to go ahead and bring it back in. When I got there, I was very upset and said "you guys did something to my car and you need to fix it right now"!! They hooked it up to do a diagnostic machine to figure out the problem. They said that the problem was under the valve cover and most likely the last place I took my car to did something wrong and said that it was leaking oil in several places? I said you didn't tell me that when I brought my car in this morning and wouldn't that have been something I should have known?? At this point I'm even more upset because I had work done at a ASE approved auto shop! This was the second time Firestone had placed blame on whoever worked on my car before after another oil change?! What is frustrating is I did trust fire stone in thinking that they were looking out for me, but now I don't trust them. They got my car running normal and it has been a week and no problems at all! I'm not sure what they did but it's probably something they forgot to do! Of course, they'll never admit it! read more

Took my car in here a couple of years ago to get a flat repair and was told that it couldn't be repaired, but that they recommended multiple new tires, alignment, yadda yadda. Sat in the lobby while the work was done and heard most everyone get the same story..."cant repair whatever you brought it in for, we recommend this service that is 10x as expensive". Was quoted a couple of hundred dollars, when the work was done and the invoice was laid on the counter the total was about $500+. They basically quoted the pre-tax amount for one of several things that needed to be done and then billed for every little item, i.e. to take the TPMS out, put it back in, etc. The most scandalous part was quietly hiding two "road hazard protection" warranties on the two tires in the middle of the bill. Looking that up, it is basically pre-paying for a flat repair as long as the flat occurs within a set radius of your home. Didn't ask if i wanted it and made sure to not bring it up, while nestling it squarely amongst a litany of other tiny charges. They got my money once and will never see another dime. That type of business practice is intentional and very unethical. There are lots of tire repair services, seek any one of them out. read more

The worst customer service award for the day goes to Firestone! I've had trouble with them before, but since I have lifetime alignment with them, I figured it was easier to just get my tires replaced there too, shame on me for giving them a second chance. I bought tires from their website and scheduled an appt for Monday. Now, because of my prior issues, I called ahead on Saturday to make sure everything was set. I was then told they didn't have those tires in stock and they would need to order them, so we rescheduled for Tuesday morning. I called again Monday morning to confirm everything was set and was told they couldn't get the tires I had originally ordered, but they had a substitute that would be there that afternoon, and I was all set. I showed up at 10 for my appt and told them I would be at the Starbucks working. I waited until 1130 and called to check the status. That's when I was told they don't even have the tires....WHAT! You let me drop off my car, knowing I was going to the Starbucks to wait for it, and you don't even have the tires. You don't think that's something you might have called to tell me BEFORE I got there, or maybe WHEN I got there. Were you going to keep me waiting all damn day for the possibility that my tires MIGHT get delivered today? OMG, what is wrong with these people? I told her I would need to reschedule and in the time it took me to walk across the parking lot I decided, nope not doing that, I walked in, grabbed my keys off the counter and said I'm not rescheduling and walked out. I'm so glad they can afford to lose $700 in sales today, I wonder how often someone goes somewhere else because of their incompetence. I don't care that I have lifetime alignment with them, I will not be going back. Since I ordered this online using Affirm, I had to call them to make sure they canceled the order on their end, I was told it was done and that I would see that in 3-5 business days. I was told by Affirm to ask for an email verifying that they processed the cancelation and was told they couldn't do that. Let's see what happens in 3-5 business days. read more

This place is a sh** show shop. Sitting outside their shop with 1 car inside their garage. called and see if they have time to work on alignment. But was told they are fully book for the day and very busy. Staff are very rude and does not explain anything after completing the work. Just hand you the keys and said "your car is done, have a good day". Avoid this sh** show shop if possible. From the obese lady who picks up phone calls that doesnt care anything about around her to their manager "Bryan" who treats you like you dont know how f***** cars work. Kyle is the ONLY reason I still visit this location. He is super knowledgeable and always willing to help everyone who walks in the door. He is very polite and easy to talk to. He makes the dreary thought of receiving a possible $200+ bill a little more bearable. Thank you for always being awesome Kyle! This location gets 3 stars only because Kyle works there. If you walk in and see it's Kyle, you're in good hands! Whenever I make an appointment at this Firestone, they are always able to service my car and return it in a reasonable amount of time. My alternator and battery failed unexpectedly while driving up north and I had them replaced at this service location. I won't go into all of the details but my experience was made a lot more manageable due to my interactions with Alisha. When my car was not ready when I was assured it would be, she remained calm, professional and polite despite my obvious frustration (I live about 30 miles away and had to take off work and beg for a ride up there). She said she would see what she could do to make up for the delay. The next day, I showed up, again, to pick up my car and she was very pleasant and professional and was able to find some discounts that helped reduce the total cost of the repair. I object that they have a posted requirement that they will open your hood when you bring your car in for any reason. Then they fiddled around in my engine bay when I was just there for a tire issue. There is no justification for that. Then they come back with an upsell. Brake fluid is low, we need to do an inspection. No. It wasn't low. Battery looks bad. No. It is one year old, and the battery is actually over spec according to the printout they gave me. It is untrue and deceptive practices that are ongoing, and they are doing it knowingly. read more

I had a gas leak. They did their diagnostic plus a complete car diagnostic for an extra $10. Great price! I paid $100 for the entire diagnostic. A bit overpriced but thais ok. The next day... They told me the fuel pump was broken and needed replacing for $650. I was a bit taken aback by the price but not alarmed yet. I have a private mechanic but needed to get my car off the road asap because the gas was literally pouring out. They handed me a total quote for all they found wrong above and beyond that. I will itemize at the end. The final quote was over $6000 to fix what was wrong. (That's twice bluebook. That technically means my car is "totaled". ) I laughed at the list because..... My mechanic replaced EVERYTHING on that list (except ONE item) they claimed was broken BEFORE he sold me the car one month ago. And that cv joint that's clicking? The one valid issue? Will not cost me $3,500+ to fix. Oil leak? Nope. Doesn't exist. Timing belt/chain? Nope. New. Water pump? Nope. Not broken. Steering issues. The cv joint needs attention but they quoted me $3,500 for entire steering and suspension assembly. Rods/arms/boot everything. My alignment is fine. It's all been checked. Very recently. As in a month ago. I listed to the right but that corrected with proper tire pressure. I'm glad I have someone to trust. Look. I was raised by a mechanic. I know a thing or two. I'm no expert, which is why I need a good mechanic, but I do my own research and I act as my own advocate. Everyone should anyway. I can see them quoting massively for the issues if they saw some (just being so overpriced,) but I don't believe they saw all they claimed. This is no reflection on the employees at all. He was wide open throttling in a Mazda 3 hatch back for like 5 minutes straight while the car was just sitting in their garage. We gave this place two chances. We had one of our cars done in October and they weren't friendly or helpful. We thought: maybe it was just a bad day? We took our other car in today (after a grumpy guy kept switching our appointments around) and again, no one was friendly or helpful, and they didn't complete the services we asked. They also said our vehicle desperately needs a new air filter (on their long up-sell phone call) but my partner installed a new air filter last month. This place is untrustworthy and unfriendly. Extremely dishonest shop. I had them inspect my A/C system because it had stopped working. After my truck had been there for nearly 5 hours, they called me to tell me it had a leak, which I had known and told them about before hand. They told me that one of the A/C hoses was cracked and would cost $700 to replace. I declined because the part only costs $80, and it was a very straight forward replacement. I just needed the diagnosis. When I inspected the truck afterward, I found that the technician had broken the valve on that A/C line while inspecting it, then he had cracked the hose while trying to remove the broken valve. Please don't go to this shop. For anything. They are terrible technicians and will break your vehicle and try to make you pay to fix their mistake. read more

We started taking our cars to Firestone in Mill Creek about a year ago for batteries and tires, then for service and have had excellent service. They are friendly, have excellent technical ability, get the job done quickly and efficiently and seem to be less expensive than the dealers we had been visiting. I love this shop! read more

I went into Firestone at 5:30 pm on a Tuesday with a flat tire. I was told by Bryan that "his guys were too tired to look at my car so close before closing". Again, 5:30 pm when they close @ 7 pm. He said it might be a flat or I may need a new tire but either way it wouldn't be done that day. So I went home and returned the next morning to pick up my car to take it somewhere else. When I got there my car was already on the rack and being worked on. Turns out it was the valve stem for my tire that broke and would cost only $20. 00. I paid my bill and promised myself I would never return; which is a shame because of the great location. But any manager should know never to say that "his guys were too tired from doing their job". I promise to tell everyone about this incident and never return! read more
