Friendly service. Have talked to them several times over the years about a variety of odd ball Diesels... Mercedes, VW, Jeep, Nissan... getting quotes and considering having them do various work that I didn't have the tools or training on, but it always worked out to be less expensive for me to buy the specialized tools and do it myself. What I found refreshing was they enjoyed talking about the engines and even offered advice on what to do and not do. These folks know Diesels and if I didn't have the skills or want to buy the tools, I'd use them with confidence, reason being is I've had at three local shops break more than they fixed. Dealerships often won't or can't do the work on older vehicles. After I did my own service on a complicated little Diesel, I wanted someone that knew it well enough to do a thorough check. It wasn't trivial maintenance and involved well over a grand in parts and special tools... if I hadn't done it right, it wouldn't end well. I wanted to make sure it was correct because it's my wife's vehicle. They understood, they checked my work, and the entire vehicle and found one thing I had missed, which I'll be fixing later. They charged a reasonable amount for the complete check, less than the original estimate (they had scheduled 2 hrs, but only needed 30 minutes). If I had done something wrong I gladly would have paid to have it fixed by them. I know why they put rubber bands in Diesels, but wish they wouldn't, and then they require expensive special tools to change. So, if you've got a rubber band in your Diesel and you think the quote might be high... look at the special tools required to do the job, the training and skill required to do it. Get a quote from the Dealer as well, if they'll even service an older vehicle. Shop rate seems high, but it costs a lot of money to keep a shop going, especially with fees, taxes, safety and environmental mandates, insurance, training, special tools, skilled technicians... If I am not able to do something on my own in the future I'll be back. People have to realize that repairing vehicles can get complicated quickly, other parts wear out, things break that shouldn't break when trying to be removed and most vehicles simply were not designed well or built to be repaired easily, and of course dealerships stop supporting older vehicles. So, what's a person to do? Simple, find a shop like this one with folks who know a variety of vehicles. And before you complain about the costs of a repair, look at what is involved in that repair on line, and ask yourself, do you think YOU could do that job? If so, do it yourself, buy the tools, shop manuals, parts and save yourself the money. But you'll find it will take you more time, and chances are good that you'll break things along the way and the info you found on line might not have mentioned the things most mechanics already know. But, you'll save somewhere between 25 to 50% of what will be charged, and you will have special tools you'll likely never use again. Also, consider in the costs of towing if it goes horribly wrong, and what it will take/cost a professional to make it work again. I'm very thankful for those high school shop classes back in the '60's and '70's, they've saved me a lot of money over the years, and I didn't mind paying to have my work checked, if I hadn't done it right, it could have been very expensive. read more

I had the idiot light (engine light) come on and initially took my Truck (Alex) to Diesel Dr. in Arlington.... They did there level best to get it done right but after 3 years of still dealing with Nox sensor issues I took it to Steve and Mitch at Dynamic Diesel and they too fixed it initially we thought... Then that dreaded idiot light again so I returned to Steve and Mitch and turns out I had a cracked exhaust manifold so again they had it for another two weeks. Now we're trying to drive it enough to reset the computer systems and it seems to be working. They are patient and calmed an unhinged man (me) when I got irritated with the amount of time it was taking. read more

I called and talked to Cory I explained I have been trying to get my bolts out of my dodge 2500 front shocks for two years using heat penetrating oil in a 1400 foot pound Milwaukee impact wrench with no luck. Cory agreed and said yes they will have to cut them off and wouldn't even waste time trying to get them loose. They got them out and I finally have new shocks. read more

I was quoted over $2000 in parts and labor for 4.5 hours work to replace a pre-bled master cylinder assembly and safety switch on a 2000 F350. That didn't include the $250+ diagnostic fees with $28 in shop parts and I was denied the 10% discount advertised for doing work on Fords (I'll say!). I went to a reputable transmission shop who did the complete job, parts and labor in one hour for $450. I'll never do business with them again. read more

I brought my truck into dynamic diesel for a estimate. My situation was that I brought it in from another crappy diesel in Monroe called Fs autoworx who ripped me off and had no clue. So Corey said he would hook me up. I told him I already knew what was wrong with it, because it had been in Monroe for six months. He said he'd diagnose the problem. You think they would just put a computer on it and see it was injectors like said. I cam back and my truck was taken apart. Parts broken of the front end, my rear view mirror ripped off, truck dirty as heck and a bill for $700 and a estimate for $8000. I told him it was insurance issue and he jacked it. They took my truck apart o do nothing. A computer scan could have told them. Instead they took out plugs and left me with missing parts and broken pieces on my truck. I complained and was told "I'm done dealing with you!" Now I still need to get my truck fixed! Are there not any good decent mechanics in Snohomish? I've got photos on my phone, but burnt out on crying. Just thought I'd let you know my experience. You'll see me walking up and down 9 trying to find the missing parts parts at o'reillys or Nappa. what a nightmare! read more

Got airbag installed on a diesel truck. They quickly responded to phone calls, sent out reminder before the appointment, and charged exactly the price that was quoted. When job was done, got a phone call immediately and checked out with no problem. In today's world, there's no cheap auto services. Their willingness to communicate with transparency should be valued, and I would say overall easy to work with. read more

These guys did what three other alignment shops couldn't - or wouldn't do - fix my alignment and wheel play. I had a new rack and pinion put into my sweet 89 Volvo by a shop in West Seattle. Those goof-offs returned it with sloppy steering and obvious bad alignment. After two more tries it, at least, didn't immediately drift to the right, but drove like a '68 Ford on anything, but a perfectly smooth road (I had brand new tires on it as well). Never did that before. It handled better than most new cars before I took it in. Anyway, over the next several months I took it to two other shops, both told me it was "fine"...and seemed to suggest that (maybe since I was just a woman) maybe I was mistaking "bumps in the road" for misalignment. I know how my used to drive and it wasn't near right, now. After to moving to Snoho I looked these guys up, took her in and explained my dilema...90 minutes later I had MY car back. The guy (forget his name) who worked on her came out, explained what he checked and found, showed me a diagnostic reading of before and after, explained what he did...and $100 later I was good to go. An Honest mechanic! I was doing 55 mph in my F150 and heard a bang, then another bang, and lost power. It was not a good sound. Thought for sure I had blown an engine. I took the truck to Dynamic Diesel and dropped it off, expecting a call that the engine was shot and it was going to be a full rebuild. They were on it and diagnosed it within a few hours, turned out it was only a blown spark plug! They could have easily told me it was a serious repair and charged me a ton but they didn't, they took Great Care of me. Just a set of spark plugs and I was good to go. Quick response to phone call. Very professional, understandable. Scheduled service right away, explained everything thoroughly. REALLY reasonable service prices. Saved us $200+ over quotes from Freightliner & Kenworth for alignment, Saf-T-Plus install and we also had our ride height adj. checked and Air Filter replaced, which was missed by Kenworth service. They let us know that repair need indicated by Kenworth (which could not do the work due to lack of proper tooling) was not necessary. Dropped off on a Friday, completed by Monday. Very pleased at their abillity to stay within estimates, get the job done correctly. Wish we had known about this shop a couple of years ago. Would've saved us $$ and driving time. We had service performed on our Class A Diesel RV. We will return for regular service to Dynamic Diesel from now on. Would've given 5 stars if parking was easy. Very congested lot. read more

I phoned this shop twice today ( my call was not returned ) to get their labour rate per hour for suspension work. The owner told me they only had one guy and made a big deal of how busy he was so my call was not returned. And she could not give me a rate. The owner does not know the shop rate?? Unbelievable. Or they don't want you as a customer to know. I asked if they were going to hire someone to help this overworked fellow and she told me no. She said men have trouble mutii-tasking. " He is not working hard enough" she said. Uh lady.... your talking to a man. This statement told me much about her care and respect for customer service and the fact she belittled her employee on the phone to a stranger is disturbing. Very very unprofessional. They want to bulk package everything and they must see it. I explained I did not expect a quote over the phone. Again that I had the vehicle inspected and knew what was wrong and just wanted to know the labour rate.I was not going to hold anyone to anything. It turns out I had my vehicle inspected by the people who trained her best suspension guy.They are about 50 miles away and I am trying to figure out if it is the right thing to do.I simply want to know what the labor rate is for replacing bushings. I am trying to find the best deal both in quality and price. Not simply price alone. They refused to tell me what their labour rate is and would not say until I gave them a quote given to me by the people who inspected it.. How is that in my best interest? Dynamic Diesel has a terrible approach to customers, clearly they are out for their own best interest. I would recommend no one go to Dynamic Diesel. It was a simple question..how much is your labor rate? They must have too much business already to have adopted such an attitude. Stay away. read more

These guys rock I had my truck towed to dynamite diesel to have a hpop air leak test an they stated the could not do it with out the turbo on it what a waste of time . so 2 tows later I called dynamic these guy were up front said they could do no problem said they couldn't get me in till wed I stated its my only vehicle an I need to get back to work . these guys said get towed here will get it done first thing in the am knowing there company picnic is that day They still dropped everything to help me an in my book that's some serious awesome customer service . they have forever won a loyal customer thanks a bunch guys . not to mention u guys do some kick butt work read more

If I could use one word to describe this business it would be "integrity". Very impressed with Cory and Logan. My husband had them work in our Ford F-350 last fall. There was an issue that just arose that was involved in the work they did and they were quick to say they would take care of it. What a great business. I trusted this shop to use appropriate parts for my F250. I trusted them to have integrity and simply do the best and most appropriate repair. Instead, they used cheap parts not appropriate for my engine. Now, a few months later, the use of these unapproved parts has caused another part to fail. Dynamic wanted $2500 to fix it. Another shop who pointed out the poor quality of parts used will replace the now failed part for $1700. Dynamic's staff is smiling and friendly but don't be fooled - they have no integrity!! read more

Stay away from Dynamic Diesel... I took my 2004 F350 to them because it was loosing power towing, they performed a diagnostic check and told me it was in great shape but they had found the fuel filter loose. I paid my $200.0 and went on my way. Didn't fix any problem with the truck so I took it back. They performed another diagnostic check and told me this time that my turbo was only working at 53 percent so they replaced it I paid $2300. And went on my way again. Didnt fix the problem!!! Called them up and they told me well we can look it over again I asked about getting some money back but they told me NO. The work they performed was iot needed but they still charged me. Find a different repair place that will stand behind the work they do. read more

Consider other options in the area. Though perhaps well-meaning, three times I've left Dynamic after work completed, I've had additional issues that I didn't have prior to them working on my truck. Probably not coincidence, especially after reading other reviews. Oh, and if you do a night drop off, be sure you understand up front any inspection costs. I've never been charged for inspections, but apparently DD does. Next time my truck needs any maintenance or performance mods, I'll be looking to Dynomite or Pacific Diesel. read more
