My starter went out at work. I called to see if they could get it in and they said, sure, bring it in. AAA hauled it down there at noon and even though the parts supplier initially sent the wrong part and they had to get another, it was done by 4:30. The car came back just as clean as when I dropped it off, and unlike some other shops I've used in the past, the change holder was still full. I've never been there before, used to use Walt's but they moved. I inspect businesses for a living and while this isn't the cleanest shop around, their techs are good. I dropped my car off on Saturday night they told me they would start work first thing Monday morning. They called Monday with an accurate estimate of the repair cost and by Monday afternoon they called to let me know it was ready. They replaced most of the exhaust system. The car sounds great now. I took my car to Buckey's because the pipe to my muffler rusted and was hanging down. I was referred there by a friend so I went in and left my car and eagerly awaited the estimate call. While I was waiting I called a few more shops and was estimated $50-$80 for the work, depending on the extent of the rust. When I got my call from Buckey's they told me it would cost me $180 to weld my pipe and replace a good deal of the pipe. I said I'll be right in to pick up my car.. I ended up taking it to Walt's on Rucker Ave and they welded it for $25. The fellow who worked on it said he had an extra piece of pipe left over from another fix and he just gave it to me and charged me for labor. I no longer have this car but I take my current car to Walt's for all my needs. I felt very taken advantage of at Bucky's and I will never be back. read more

The service here is trash. The dude up front gave us hella attitude for pulling up a Bucky coupon for $20 bucks off. He was like "you wanna use that? It's actually $400. You want to pay $400 and have $20 taken off?" The price he gave us originally was $350, when we presented the coupon he tried to change the price to $400. Super annoying and definitely won't ever be back. I literally don't know why he was so rude to us. We were in here from 1pm to 4pm and we barely even talked to the dude. Horrible customer service. Recently underwent staffing changes. However, would not honor agreements made prior. I was overcharrged on a large service to my car (roughly 600.00) and thus given 3 free oil changes. When I went in to claim my third free oil changes, they simply said: "No." I have gone to Buckys for years but will never go back. Untrustworthy, rude, overall, poor customer service. Incredibly horrible experience!....Went in to get the exhaust manifold gasket leaks fixed and get a new muffler.....When I left it was twice as loud as before I took it in.....I took it back within an hour....Then after deciding I need an O2 sensor replaced they said I have to leave it because they didn't have time to fix the leaks and do the sensor.....Left it there on Saturday afternoon.....By 5:00 Monday they had not touched it claiming the guy who was going to work on it did not show up for work..... Only one mechanic capable of changing an O2 sensor?...While inquiring about my truck the gal behind the counter was more interested in the bowl of soup she was slurping then answering my questions.I don't recall her name but you cant miss her!...She was very rude and it was quite disgusting listening to her slurp the soup instead of taking care of her paying customer....Cant think of a worse place to take your vehicle...I ended up just taking my truck to a shop down the street...It was fixed in an hour and they charged me $50.....NEVER AGAIN....Buckeys sucks. I've only noticed that there's tons of reviews that are so negative. My experience here was amazing! The service was amazing! Everyone was busy and so focused to be exact! This one mechanic (Silva) was by far the most kindest person on Earth! As I waited for 30 min to get my little buggie fixed, he made me feel so welcomed and we had multiple laughs. This is a great company! The people are so nice there I almost felt like my car was not even broken in the first place! Not to mention how cheap it was! Everyone I give this place a 5 star. These part changers were incapable of diagnosing my vehicles problem. They said it was an air problem and changed the EGR valve. Then said it was electrical and changed the distributor, cap, a wire and a capacitor. They killed the battery cranking the engine. Then they decided it was a fuel problem and changed the fuel filter. THEN they said they couldn't repair it. Had it towed elsewhere, and it was repaired the next day. In their defence, they only charged us for the EGR and no other new parts, which they left installed (though incorrectly). read more

So I went to have this shop replace a part that was replaced by them 2 yrs ago and I was told at that time it has a 5 yr 90K Mile warranty well come to find out that was a lie. But they supposedly were going to cover the part under warranty anyways so I take my car in Monday afternoon and it was going to be done Tuesday I authorize a specific amount and they went above that amount that I approved to have work done up to. Never called to get authorization for more cost. Then when I picked up my car I was driving down the freeway and the part I had just had them replace that cost me over 4 hundred dollars started falling off going down the freeway the tech that worked on my car didn't put piece back on properly meaning the nuts holding the catalytic converter on were only finger tight. I called the store left a message and it has been almost a week since I left that message and the manager has yet to call me back or anything in regards to contacting me. I have gone to this shop for several years with many cars and I will never refer or go back to this shop again atleast to this location it has bad reviews and horrible workmanship. Took our malibu in to get the brakes done. Fernando was awesome!! He got us in and out very fast. He was friendly, professional and explained everything they were doing and why. Gave us a quote and when the work was completed, the bill was about $30 less then his quoted...nice!! Les Schwab were the ones who told me I needed new brakes, quoted me a price but could not do it that day. My son was taking the car back to college later that day so we had to get them done. Called Bucky's and they got us right in and charged us $300 LESS then what Les quoted us!! We were treated very well and we could tell they appreciated our business and were working hard to earn our future business.....and they did. Thanks Bucky's!! When the key wouldn't go all the way into the ignition of my Ford Focus, I thought of Bucky's in Everett, where I've had work done for 20 years and always got a good job at a fair price. I was concerned that I might have to take my car to the Ford dealer, since I'd had to use the dealer just to get a spare key made (computer chip), but the staff assured me they could fix it and told me to bring it in. I called them back at 5:00 Friday and was told that they had to get a computer code from the Ford dealer and wouldn't have it until Monday because of the July 4th holiday weekend. So I called back Monday at 1:00, when I was told they were having trouble finding the part, but they'd call me back and let me know when they could get it. I called back again at 5:00 for an update and was told "our scanner is 'acting up' (?) and you'll have to take it to the dealer". I told them I'd already paid for a tow, based on their promise, and would like Bucky's to have my car towed to the dealer (less than 5 miles away) at Bucky's expense. The shop's manager refused. A call to Bucky's corporate headquarters got the issue resolved in less than 5 minutes, so I still have a good opinion of the company, but I will never use their Everett shop again until they have a new manager. Why the shifting excuses? Was I being deliberately lied to in the hope that maybe they could fix it, or were they simply guilty of incompetence and mismanagement? Why, after realizing they couldn't honor their promise, was I told I'd have to pay for a SECOND tow, rather than owning up to the error and doing the right thing for their customer? The corporate office called the Everett shop just moments after I notified them of my treatment and got the issue resolved in 5 minutes (although I haven't received an explanation or apology), but it shouldn't have gotten this far. I've found Bucky's in Everett to be incompetent, dishonest and unwilling to admit their mistakes. After 2 decades of patronage and a handful of recommendations to family & friends, the current management has forced me to tell anyone who's listening DON'T USE BUCKY'S IN EVERETT!!! read more

Hands down the best oil change deal ever. I walked out their door a happy girl, having only spent 22 bucks! The staff was very nice- I had a great chat with the guy at the front desk about my upcoming road trip- and they were prompt. Don't come here if you're expecting the cushy chairs and sleek televisions at the dealer's waiting area- the place is grungy- but if you want an inexpensive, speedy oil change you would be silly to go anywhere else. (And it's downtown, so it was convenient for me to spend my 30 min wait grabbing a cup of coffee and visiting the library). My husband was wary when I told him how cheap it was, but he was quickly sold when I assured him they used synthetic oil and changed the filter. "Let me just stop what I'm doing to take care of you." I did business here a few years ago with a good experience and decent pricing. Today I took my Mountaineer in because the front breaks started squeaking intermittently. I was expecting maybe a $300 charge for the front. Get a call to hear they want to replace the calipers AND the rotors. Back breaks need work, too. The bill would be close to $1,000. FOR BRAKES! No. Nada. Not going to happen. I go to pick up the car. Counter person is on her computer. "Hi, I'm here to pick up my Mountaineer." She looks on the counter, no keys. She says she will have them in a minute. A few minutes later, I politely ask, "What are waiting on?" Here's the customer service BOMB: "I'm in the middle of something on my computer. It will be a few minutes." What???? So I wait a few more minutes and finally ask, "Shall I go and get the keys?" She slides off her chair and mutters, "No, let me just stop what I'm doing to take care of you." She jumps in my car, sped to the curb and backed it up so I could get it. Classy. Really classy. Bucky's Everett lost a customer today. read more

I was a LOYAL customer for 6 years at Bucky's until last christmas. I was 8 months pregnant and my car had just been stolen so i had to buy ANOTHER car. I took my car to them to make it safe for my daughter and i after her arrival. The car died when i made sharp turns, had the check engine light on and smelled like gas. It cost me 1000.00 for me to have "everything" fixed. The check engine light never went off and when i asked about it they did not seem concerned. After taking it to another mechanic turns out i paid for 02 censors, AND THEY WERE NEVER INSTALLED!!!!! I had recommended this place to soooo many people. including my sister and she found out that the rotors that she paid for were never installed either!!! When she went back to them and told them about what happened they said that they had staffing changes and it wasnt their problem. After sending my mom in there, they agreed to install them she said she wanted the rotors so she could make sure they were properly installed since she was coming back for a mistake they made...they FLAT OUT REFUSED. AND NOTHING WAS EVER DONE I WILL NEVER GO BACK HERE .....THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE NOW. read more

Oh my gosh where do I start. Well let me start here the manager who is a lady was very nice to my husband and apologized for everything but I am beyond livid and want something done or I will take this further. We called and ask how much it would cost to put on an exhaust that my husband purchased from somewhere else and he was quoted $80. Well after them working on it for 30 mins they told my husband it was done and it cost him $160 plus tax. He told them that's not what he was told and that they told him $80. The guy Silva was very rude and told him no it took him 1hr and 30 mins to do the work and my husband told him that's a lie he was there and it only took 30mins. Silva then told him that he will have to wait an hour for the manager to get there. My husband told him he didn't want to wait and to call her. Silva then walked away so my husband went outside to the bay and told him " hey you can't walk away from your customer you need to talk to me" SILVA THEN WALKED UP TO MY HUSBAND QUICKLY, GOT IN HIS FACE, ROLLED UP HIS SLEEVES AND INSTANTLY STARTED YELLING IN MY HUSBANDS FACE. Keep in mind my husband is holding our 3 year old daughter and our 8 year old son is standing right by him scared and almost in tears. My husband asked for the district managers number right away to contact and Silva would not give it to him. Then the manager got back and all three of them were going back and forth. Well Silva drove the car out, threw the keys at my husband and said "just leave and and never come back, we don't ever want to see your face again." Well then the district manager calls my husband and leaves this message on his voice mail " I'm going to give you an hour and come back to my shop and pay or I'm calling the cops." So my husband called the company back and told the manager what was left on his voicemail and the manager apologized and said she is sorry that he went through all that and she will make sure that it's tAken care of and he doesn't owe anything. The manager did say to my husband "Silva didn't get in his face" so my husband asked her if she has cameras there and she said yes so my husband said " I encourage you to go back and look at the footage of what took place today." read more

I have to admit up front that I did not actually get any work done here, so my review is based simply on my visit today. I was considering giving one star, but in the interest of fairness I will give 2 due to the fact that I haven't had the whole experience here. Anyway, the website says no appt. needed and same day service so I was thinking I'd be okay to just drive there this morning and see if they had time to look at my brakes. Apparently, they were busier than normal today because the man at the front desk told me they wouldn't have time today, and asked me to make an appointment for another time. I won't fault Bucky's for that - in fact, I think that was more honorable than if I had left my car all day only to find out they would have to keep it overnight and get to it the following day. Anyway, the reason for the low rating was the appearance of the place. Frankly, it's a dump. I know, I know, mechanic shops aren't supposed to be luxurious - but when I see neon green antifreeze flowing down the parking lot into the storm drains that's a big red flag. (Not from cars in lot but from somewhere inside their garage.) Anyway, I ended up taking my business elsewhere as I needed immediate repairs, and I am glad I did as I am sure I would not have been as pleased with Bucky's. So I guess sorry to all others out there who seem to be contented patrons of this establishment, but I think when it comes to spending $$$ and my car I WILL judge a book by its cover. read more

I went here for an oil change and to check my brakes. The oil change is nice and cheap, but that's how they bait you to get you into the door. They lied to me and sent me into a panic thinking my front brakes were shot and the back brakes only had about 30 days left on them. That's there words not mine. I asked for a quote showing how much and what needed to be done and Tony working there said they do not provide quotes. All he gave me was a small print out receipt from a 10 key calculator with prices printed on to it. After telling me all these items that needed to be fixed, He offers me a free oil change if I do all the work immediately. I went to another shop and I was told, that I did not need front brakes or back brakes. THIS PLACE AND TONY LIED TO ME. MY OIL WAS ALSO OVER FILLED IN MY CAR. I WOULD STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. This was the worst experience with any auto shop in my life. I brought my 2008 BMW in for a diagnosis due to my dash saying engine malfunction. Reduce speed. Fernando did the diagnosis and said that everyone of my seals were bad and that it would take care of the problem. I told him that it smells like coolant though. He said that it was all fine. So I scheduled for the seals to all get replaced in my car. He also stated after pulling my motor out that I need a new Gear selector cable cause that one was bad. I brought the car in and it took 5 weeks to get back after numerous other things found. When I arrived to get my car the hood was dented like it was dropped on something. Fernando said that it was there when I brought the car in. I explained that no it wasn't. I just got it from the auto body shop. I had also took a picture of it when it had the motor out and the picture shows no damage to the hood. I has also noticed that my bumper was scratched and that the bumper was put back on like crap. It was incorrectly installed back on. I ended up leaving the place and when I drove away I could barely steer my vehicle. I called the shop and Alicia stated that oh by the way you need to take it over to our other shop and get an alignment. This was on a Saturday. I took the car back on Monday to have numerous things taken care of on the car. Alicia stated that she was going to take it to get the hood painted for the damage that they caused. The engine malfunction light came on and she stated that the problem was the thermostat which obviously was the problem I took it in there for to begin with. She stated that I would need to pay $300 to have that replaced. I told her that wasn't going to happen. She than stated she taking it to BMW in Bellevue to have the steering sensor reset. I called BMW the next day and they said they didn't have the car. I called Alicia that said it went to her friends shop which I didn't authorize to happen. She contacted me and said that there was a part for the steering that it needed because it was bent. She said it should be done the next day. I told her I wanted something from the shop stating what they did to my. She said that they cant because they are doing it under the table for $100.00. I was very upset at this point. I finally got my car back 3 days later and could not get my trunk to open or the interior lights to work. I called corporate that stated that I could take it down to the Shoreline Bucky's and they could fix the problem. I took it down there after work the same day and the gear shifter was not engaging. I was able to get in and get the car into gear. At that point I left and refused to have any Bucky's work on my vehicle again. My car had no problem when I took it in there to the Everett Bucky's and after getting my car back completely its got a lot of problems as well as the black grease hand and finger prints inside the car. There is so many more things that have not been included on this review due to number of things. I am now taking my car to BMW and they are fixing all of the problem that they cause on my vehicle and doing an over all complete inspection of my vehicle with all of the things that the Everett Bucky's had claimed that they did and didn't do. read more

Today I found out that my car's radiator is cracked. It was recommended that I go to Bucky's to get it replaced. I went in and they looked at my car for about 15 mins. The man was very rude and told me that it would be $440 plus tax and some parts. That seemed about right. I needed to take a day to get my money together so I asked for the man to write down the cost. I was told that they don't give estimates...I don't understand why he would give me the price and refuse to write it down or do the math so that I could know the full cost. Was he lying? Would the price be different if I brouhht my car in the next day? That seemed a little shady to me and I dont want to give my business to a rude and seemingly dishonest person. DON'T COME HERE. Seriously this is my second bad experience I had a Mitsubishi Eclipse and I got my oil changed and two days later I had to take it to Jiffy Lube to have my oil topped off cause I didn't have any..... Really? And just now with my VW Passat I got my oil changed and I had to take it back IMMEDIATELY I mean 5 minutes later because it was saying I had low oil pressure and my engine was making a clicking sound. And when I came back they were like "we need to put a different oil in there since its turbo" ...... Uhhh why didn't you do that the first time? I asked him if he put the right oil in there and he said "15-40" and I said uhh no 5-40 it says in my owners manual and then he denies ever saying 15-40. Apparently it needs full synthetic since its turbo but they didn't put that in my Eclipse and that was turbo also. Tyson is the manager and he's very rude. And he let his wife or girlfriend or whatever be rude to me. She muttered "you have a bad attitude" uh, excuse me? Your man messed up two times on the simplest thing they do there twice on two different cars of course I'm going to have a bad attitude. I'm sure if any of the guys that work there read this will know exactly who it is cause I argued with them and my dad argued with them over the phone for 20 minutes. Also my uncle had to get transmission work here and they had to redo it several times and one of the times his van was broken into and they said too bad. Which is horrible because he's handicapped and he has to use hand controls and everything. This is the worst experience I've ever dealt with not to mention the waiting area is run down and trashy. Worst auto shop I've been in my life ,the mechanics are not certified ,so very poor work had old transmission caught fire ,had to replace, got other and they done compleat rebuild ,they did not repair none of burnt frayed wires, they did not replace the flywheel tork converter cover , which was on the old transmission, they improperly spooled the new tork converter so when take off it vibrates and chatter ,the wire harnesse pulled and just left hanging ,very very sloppy ,the new trans leak d one quart oil every 2-3 hundred miles, at 2000 rpm it radically surges ,till u go faster or slower , several things not hooked back up and from the mechanics mouth he said he dose not do that , incomplete knowledge, a certified mechanic would be no problem ,my earlier yrs I done mechanics ,so know a little, I'm 75 so quit working on them , that is now changing, what they done is a out right skam , according to City bussiness code and lience , the mechanics are to be certified , they don't HV to be to do mufflers and exhaust pipes , none of thier mechanics are certified at the Everett location , don't know about others , I protested with sign to let others know of thier scrupples work, each day many stop by and told me of thier very bad experience with them .and several said they just went somewhere else to get it repaired , because they couldn't afford to hire attorney , well that is too change, this is wrong what they do , ck better business bureau , not good many complaint ,they HV very long dirty laundry list ,save your self of problems ,go somewhere that they HV certified mechanics , it is the same price ,but quality work read more

The good reviews, were just good luck. DO NOT GO HERE! 2008 Honda with check engine and VSA light on, car in limp mode (can't drove over 25-30 mph). Ivan at Bucky's stated he could fix this and had done it before. He had the car for about 3 days, Replaced a part and when we picked it up, he showed us the printed out sheet that he had to follow, since he had never actually done this before, and said "oops" you need to take to Honda. The check engine and VSA lights were still on, still couldn't drive over 30 mph. Honda found that the part replaced was acutally fine and replaced the correct part. We tried to complain and request a refund and were treated rudely and told to call the corporate office. We did and left two messages which were not returned. Disputed this charge with our credit card, and then they responded. The letter sent out was full of false information. They stated we took the car to Renton, and that the check engine light was no longer on and the car ran smooth. They claimed we never tried to contact them. I hope to at least prevent someone else from and expensive nightmare. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB. read more

BEWARE of unexpected costly repairs they say you need!! Took my car in for an oil change & they told me 3 other pretty serious things that my car needed adding up to over $600. We went to look at the car up on a rack & they showed us the "leaks" (oil pan, front axle boot & said the valve gaskets were leaking but we couldn't see that) We could not see much of a leak at axle or oil pan so wanting to be safe, had the valve cover gaskets done the following weekend. My husband was planning on doing the oil pan himself when it was time for the next oil change. During this time there was NEVER any oil underneath my car & oil light never came on. So at the shop to have a $200+ valve cover gasket replaced & uh-oh, the water pump is leaking too they say, and I should replace the timing belt while they are in there. So, $858.00 later...... Well when time came for next oil change & my husband had still not gotten to the oil pan, but I kept an eye on the oil & it was NEVER low & still none under my car... I took it to Midas to check a brake issue & had them change my oil. I asked them to check the bolts on oil pan to make sure they were tight & no leaks. What a miracle! They found no leaks anywhere, not even the supposed axle boot, (which should have gotten worse, right?) & got a clean bill of health! I very strongly suspect that they saw a car with a lot of miles on it & wanted to get all the $$ out of me they could. Since we didn't bite with the all of the first 3 issues, they just found something else to make up for it that would be important enough to not ignore. Btw, I didn't think of it at the time but I had the top half of the engine rebuilt only 2 yrs prior & the timing belt AND WATER PUMP is included in that. I doubt it needed replacing. I just felt a little pressured to make a decision because it would have bad consequences if it were so & since they already had things "taken out" they convinced me that it would be cheaper in labor to do it while they were in there. My car was here for a clutch replacement & brake job. Less than 5 miles down the road, my car burst into flames. My wife & 9 yr. old daughter were lucky to escape without any physical injuries. Bucky's is taking zero responsibility & told me to sue them! Manager Dennis called my wife a Bitch after he re-negged on settlement offer.
