My family of 4 needed passport. (2 adult 2 kids) Scheduled appointment a month before the date. I also decided might as well get the picture taken here since its a one shop stop. . Printed and filled out the form. On the day of our appointment we came 10 min early. We hade to wait maybe 15 minutes since there's also a family they're assisting. Jatindeer helped us. She is very kind and very organized. She is patient with my kids too. Took about less than 30 minutes including the wait time. We were out of before 12nn. It was fast transaction. Location wise theres plenty of parking. Post office is clean. read more

I have repeatedly called the Los Gatos Post Office on different days and at different times, trying to speak with someone about the placement of a new business mailbox. Each time, I've followed the phone prompts to speak with a person, but no one has ever answered. The phone simply rings and rings indefinitely, with no one picking up. After numerous attempts, this has become extremely frustrating. A local post office should have a reliable way for customers and business owners to actually reach someone when assistance is needed. read more

This place is a lot bigger than most post offices. It had a lot of mailboxes. The place itself was busy, and they had like 3 to 4 people at the windows, so the line moved fairly quickly. They were really nice when they helped you. Not all grumpy. This location was clean and organized. read more

I am updating my review and bumping rating from 1 star to 3 stars because my family in Taiwan finally received the birthday card and Mother's Day's card now (it took a month to deliver, both birthday and Mother's Day have passed). But at least my lovely cards not lost in a hole somewhere. It is indeed priceless to see how much my 4-year old niece and my mother love the cards I sent. Lesson learned here - when sending greeting cards overseas, better give USPS at least 4+ weeks lead time to ensure your cards arrive on time and save yourself some anxiety. read more

We came in last week. Kuldeep was the first to "help" us but she was very rude and condescending. I understand you do this daily (because this is your JOB and you get paid to do this) but this is my first time applying and a little patience or decency would have gone a long way. Lucky for us, Jatinder helped us after the initial intake and she was AMAZING. Kind and professional. I was very thankful for her. Honestly, I'm not asking for much; just for people to do their job and not act like a jerk. read more

Of all the post offices in the South Bay this is one of my favorite. Let's say you need to send a bunch of holiday cards or packages. Where do you go? Well, you go to the place you've had the best experience. For me, that is that's the US Post Office in Los Gatos immediately across from the Towne Plaza Park. Easy peasy. Super duper friendly staff. Wow, they go all out to provide the best service. Their work is very much appreciated. read more

Our packages are delivered out of this office to our home. Often our amazon packages are marked as delivered in their system, and then they are actually delivered days later. Sometimes they are never delivered, and we have to stop in to get them. Most recently, some of our larger packages were marked "Delivery attempted, mailbox full" which is hilarious as you can never put a box/large-package in a mailbox. They rarely answer the phone (maybe in one out of twenty attempts) and if they do answer, there's no help, just excuses. How they can get away with not delivering packages that are within USPS size and weight limits, is beyond me. When I raise this politely to the counter attendants every time, they have nothing to say. read more

Came here for 3 passport appointments (not walk ins) and we were done within 30 minutes. Jatinder was knowledgeable, efficient, and thorough. I highly recommend booking an appointment which are typically 6-8 weeks out. We did street parking although they have a small lot. read more

I was on my way to LG Meats and needed a money order, something I rarely need. My bank was closed on a Saturday and a quick Google search led me to this place. It is hard to find a post office that opens on Saturday which means it was quite busy! Despite it being busy, I found parking no problem on the street. There is a public lot to the left of this post office, too. It is right in the downtown area so it is conveniently located near shops and restaurants. When I walked in, there were 4 people in line in front of me and the line quickly formed behind me. There were 4 staff members at various windows so the line went so quickly that I didn't have time to look at the greeting cards. The staff member who helped me was quick and asked if I knew how the money order worked. I really appreciated him asking because I didn't. He was upbeat and kind and I appreciated his energy. If you ever need a USPS on a Saturday, this is your spot! read more

Came here to get my passport processed and it was a breeze! Went onto the USPS.com site and booked an appointment slot for this USPS location and I was in and out of there in less than 10 min! I was helped by Mark who also helped a few months back with my toddlers first passport. Mark is extremely friendly and quick at what he does. I do have to say please make sure to read all the instructions and bring all the necessary copies and paperwork preferably all filled out and just ready to hand over. This will make your process go as smooth as butter and fast as lightning. I brought two checks one for the postmaster fee which was $35 and the passport fee for the US Dept. Of State for $110 I believe. I had my passport pictures ready and a copy of my driver's license and my naturalization certificate, which you also give the original as well - they mail it back to you with the passport. It was a very simple process and I absolutely love this location. Mark swears you in and it's all done! Make an appointment through the site, I made the appointment Monday and got in Tuesday so not a long wait! read more

The manager at this location believes that USPS does not use online tracking. I even showed her how and she still does not believe. We have had countless delivery problems. I will now have my packages delivered elsewhere. It's bad enough we can't receive our mail properly . But, every package has been a delivery nightmare this month. I sure hope they can replace this horrible manager and find someone that has a clue on what's going on. read more

of course there will be lines, but not always! Either way, the staff here is so friendly, i give them 5 stars and thankful for the warm help each time i have to run a post office errand here (at least 6-7x a year) one time i tried to buy a number or gift cards and got shut down for trying to buy too many, but i get it, it was my boss' card they wanted a written permission... i got all hot and sweaty and nervous bc i'm a very honest person, and even put as many as i could on my own debit card to prove i wasn't a thief... i know they didn't think that it was probably just store procedures to limit, but i didn't go back for the rest. sometimes you just got to do what works, and that particular purchase didn't but i still love the warm service this post office gives and beyond friendliness they are accurate and efficient! read more

Best place to apply for new passports. 5 star for their quick service. They treated us very well and made the whole process easy. I forgot to take a photocopy of my DL, But the person at the counter got it for me. Even though it is in downtown, they have 30 minute parking spots in front of the door. They have gift card available too like eBay, Home Depot, Greeting Cards and stationary. Passport applications By Appointments only!! For newborn passports, we have to pay application fee 80$ through money orders or by cheques. But we can pay processing fee 35$ by any method. Service: 5 read more

Made a passport appointment for 1:45 and arrived at 1:40. Line went out the door and female clerk said she would be with me in 5 minutes. That's fine. She and another male clerk then proceed to serve everyone in line before helping us. When everyone cleared out, guy saw me standing at the door and then had the following conversation. Guy: are you waiting for a passport appointment? Me: yes Guy: what time was your appointment. Me: 1:45 Guy: it's 1:55 Me. Yes I know I had an appointment at 1:45 Guy: it's 1:55 I quickly catch on by his tone and interaction that he's insinuating im the one who's late. Me: yes I know. I've been waiting here for 15 minutes. Guy doesn't respond and goes to help the next customer. Racist and rude as hell. Should be fired. read more

This letter was sent out to several different entities that deal with our mail system. To whom it May Concern: I have documented with actual pictures what myself and my neighbors have witnessed over the past 2 years, and have reported it to our local post office branch, Los Gatos, Ca., to no avail. We live in a motor home park and have our own mailboxes. When we receive a package we do not receive a notice of delivery or a key, it is either left on top of the mailboxes, which just happened to me again this past Dec. 6th (I have pictures), set in the bushes if it's too big to put up top, dropped off at our managers in a box located outside of his door (without our consent), again without a notice in our mailbox OR put in one of the large boxes with the lock in the door, although in this case, we do not receive a key because the door is unlocked. Meaning a bunch of packages are all put in the same box and we have to look through other peoples packages to see if we received anything. Again, the carrier does not take the time to even write a note telling us our package has been delivered. Also, there is a box that states "Misdirected Mail" and if we receive the wrong piece of mail, we are supposed to put it in this box, along with everyone else's misdirected mail. So, we are riffling through everyone's mail, which is LUDICROUS. I have had packages completely destroyed by rain, missing and stolen since I moved here in Feb of 2018. I have written up reviews in Yelp with the hope that they would conform. I have documented by taking photographs, which also records the date, for any proof I may need to support my statements. Both myself and my fiance, whom they now know by name since he has to go in there so often to complain, have spoke over the phone and in person about these issues. The problem persists. When we first moved in, the post office wanted $50.00 to make a key for our mailbox which we promptly paid and it took 2 months for them to come out to do it. We are in the Santa Cruz Mountains but just 15 short minutes to the post office, so as far as "Rural" goes, I would say it does not apply to us. I, along with my many neighbors want some action taken immediately. I am going to send this to the Attorney Inspector's office and every other office that oversee the mail service until I see results. This is a case of pure, unadulterated laziness with a complete lack of respect for both ourselves and the United States Post Office. I thank you for your time. read more

We have been having delivery issues from our mail carrier Nick for months. Again yesterday no mail delivered! Last month didn't get mail for 4 days straight and were told we put a hold on it which we NEVER did! Fifth time in the last three month's no mail delivered. The post master Mike will not call us back nor NEVER has any appointments for us to talk to him in person. Packages are left at the top of our walking gate only to be stolen or get saturated when it rains. If we leave letters or bill with postage on them in our mailbox to be picked up he doesn't do that either. The suggestion I was give is to put a hold on our daily mail and drive down to Los Gatos everyday to pick it up! Why won't the post master take care of these many issues? read more

I LOVE Los Gatos Post Office. Even better if I am lucky enough to get Hope or Jose on a day they are working. Hope and Jose make up the two best things about Los Gatos Post Office. love this post office opposed to the one on lundy in SJ. all the workers there are incredibly nice, even after a long day. They seem to know the customers too, and they always greet them with a smile or talk to them and ask how their kids are doing. There is this lady, named Hope. oh, i love her. she is SO happy and chipper. Her laugh and the way she talks can light up a room. I was having a crappy day and had to lug 4 huge boxes of mail from my company and she came out and helped me bring out a hand truck and lug the boxes on them. I wish i had her every time i come into this post office. made me day sO much better. The other people who work here are friendly too. They will check if your package is here, even if you dont have a slip from them or the tracking number. They just need your ID and address! downside, always a line and its a small office ): and parking is EXTREMELY limited. (ps. they also do passports here!) read more

This post office is absolutely terrible. For the last year and a half they have been delivering our packages to an apartment down the street (not even next door) and the guy who lives there has to walk our packages over to us frequently. We have explained this issue to the post office manager numerous times and yet we still experience this problem. Somehow the spam mail with our address always makes it into our mailbox though. We are fed up with it. This post office is terrible. Would give it zero stars if possible. read more

This small office is relatively fast and very helpful. We have been here twice already and it is a short walk to the Farmer's Market. I booked an appointment to renew Passport. The app claim they had a Photo Booth . I got the place 15 minutes before my appointment. As I get there, Iam asked by a Clerk if I had pictures. I said " no, the app claim you had a Photo Booth". Clerk said their cámara was broken . To go to Walgreens and get pictures taken. Clerk said they would wait for me. I returned 40mins with my pictures. By this time a second clerk said I was late . I mentioned I was late because their booth was broken and was asked to go to Walgreens. I also mentioned that the first clerk would wait for me. I pointed out who was the first clerk. The second clerk said , " wait for 30min for the 3rd clerk to return from lunch, she waited for you but you are late to your appointment " I waited , and finally helped . I stayed as calm as possible so I can get my passport processed. I got helped. I don't recommend this location. App claims they have a Photo Booth . They need to update the fact that they don't have a Photo Booth. I selected this site for passport appointment renewal because it had a Photo Booth 4 weeks ahead. If I knew it didn't have a Photo Booth, I would of selected another site. Clerks made it seem as it was my fault for not taking pictures ahead and they kept claiming I was late when I clearly arrived 15 minutes before the booked appointment. read more

Roger S' accessment of the LG Post Office is 100% accurate!!! Jose is AMAZING! Hope was great, although she recently retired and ALL the staff in the front are sooooo friendly, kind, courteous, willing to go the extra mile, etc. [5++ stars to the front for their AMAZING Customer Service over the almost 20 years I have been going there!] And then, there is the staff in the back! THE EXACT OPPOSITE .... NOT friendly, rude, unkind and downright UNwilling to help! Belinda especially! If she gets involved, you can pretty much count on the fact that the answer will be NO to ANYthing you ask. (Went in once after loaning my keys to a friend and she would NOT let anyone give me access to my P.O. Box and last week misplaced my key and have not been able to locate and will NOT let me get into my P.O. Box without paying $25.) Unbelievable and kicking myself that I just paid my renewal fee! Something sooooooo small as, I can't get into my P.O. Box and ZERO willingness to simply help! (I have rented for almost 10 years and have been an LG resident for almost 20 years and the answer is NO.) Belinda, God-willing for you when you need a helping hand, people will be FAR nicer to you than you have been to me! It actually makes me sad for you how cold and callus you are to people, especially people you are supposed to be serving and supporting. VERY sad! read more

We had an appointment for a passport, and we were on time. We were told we had to go all the way to Walgreens to get a photo. Came back, and we were made to stand out of line and wait while the clerk attended to everybody else, even people who came in after us. They had three clerks on hand and took several people ahead of us. We were not respected, nor was our time. I've had better experiences at the DMV. I have been running a small online retail business from home for the past 9 years. I moved from WA to Los Gatos, CA 2.5 years ago. I never had problems with USPS before this. The LG post office has delivered my personal packages to the wrong address, has delivered other people's packages to my address, and they have lost 7 customer orders. The biggest loss just happened after my huge Black Friday sale. I was shipping 20-30 packages at a time, a few days apart. The last pickup had 5 LARGE flat rate boxes go missing (game-board boxes, the largest of the priority flat rate). Each box had 10-18 yards of fabric (I'm a textile designer). They never even scanned them in! When I called the PO to inquire about the missing orders I was called a liar and hung up on. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! read more

Avoid at all costs. No one working here, no one knows what is going on. Line out the door and takes an hour just to ship one package.

This is the worst excuse for a Post Office I have ever seen! I had a PO Box at this office and the service was horrible. I continually had problems trying to get the combination lock on the PO Box to work. One night I was so upset that I started to kick the box. The Post Master came out and verified that I was given the wrong combination. Then I would get other people's mail in my box but my mail was returned to the sender. Once my father sent me a letter and it was returned to him because my last name was hyphenated with my husband's last name on the end. The Post Master told me it was because my last name was hypenated. WTF? They put everyone else's mail in my box that had a similar last name, yet my last name was on the letter and it was returned to the sender! Magazines were not regularly delivered to me. I guess someone in the PO like reading Oprah Magazine! Once I picked up my mail and returned home only to find that the mail was three months old. It was all held together with a rubber band and there was a date written on the outside of the magazine. The bills and the magazine were THREE months old! Thank God for Bill Pay Online. I think that someone was too lazy to put my mail in the box so it sat on a shelf in the PO for three months! When I complained, the Post Master asked if I could please bring the bundle in. WTF? I guess that she didn't get the part where I said I opened up the bundle of mail. I thought that postal workers were required to pass an exam to work there. I did not expect this low level of service from a Post office in Silicon Valley. The Post Master had no good excuse for this low level of service at the Los Gatos Post Office. I moved to San Jose and got a PO Box at another office. I am happy to report that the service there is miles ahead of the service in the Los Gatos Post Office. Do yourself a favor and get a box at an alternate location. read more
