I went there right at 8:30am and the lady was on the phone speaking in what seemed Chinese and laughing while I knocked on the door bc it was still closed until 8:36am. I needed to complete a certified mail, so the lady disappeared and I had to ring the doorbell to get her attention. She was still on the phone with her friend or family member. She barely spoke to me but was quick to tap the option of "green happy face" on my behalf. Very poor customer service. I was even friendly and said hi to both of them when I reached the counter. Woman just stared at me and wouldn't tell me what was wrong. She looked at her partner behind the counter and she just shook her head. I asked what was wrong and she finally said I couldn't use duct tape and I needed to write where it was going on package. I told her I don't ship a lot and had a QR code that was supposed to work and asked what type of tape should I use and she smugly said "not duct tape". Never go there again. Lady there was unfriendly and unknowledgeable. I was shipping an item with battery and she immediately said USPS can't ship Priority because it has a battery. USPS actually published "Pub 52" which changed rules for shipping battery. When I asked her about it she said "I don't know" but still took the package. I think it's pathetic that someone in USPS doesn't know the rules and need customers to tell them? It should be the other way around right ? This is one of the tiniest Post office locations I have been inside in a long time, but despite their size, they manage to take care of all shipping services that larger locations offer. Lines can get fairly long here and because they don't have a lot of space for waiting customers, often times lines will pour out into the hallway. read more

I am so disappointed with the post office and Target. I ordered a few necessities such as soap, q-tips, and body wash online and wanted it to shipped to my apartment, but I never received a delivery slip or notification that my package was delivered. I ordered online specifically because I'm extremely busy and work 80 hour work weeks, which means I don't want to go to the trouble and drive to target to pick things up. I had to call Target and track my package down. And without a package slip, I had to deduce WHERE my package was left off. I assumed Willow Glen because it's the area I live in, but man, was it cumbersome to track it and then find it to pick it up. In the end, I had to travel farther to the post office than I actually would have to drive to Target in order to pick a package that should have been delivered three weeks ago. Yes, there is a small US Post Office in downtown Willow Glen. It's in the back of the "Garden" building (the thing that looks like an old movie theater.) It's tucked away behind the Top Nosh Café. As the holidays are approaching, we all dread the long lines and chaos at most Post Offices. Not many people know about this little one, so it's typically easy to run in and out. It's clean, organized, and the staff is friendly enough. There is parking in the back and on the street. If there's a long line in the future--I'll know the customers are all fellow Yelpers. Gotta say, among the post offices I've been to....this one has the friendliest staff. They may not offer all services (like passports), but every time I've been here it has been fairly quick. The staff have been friendly, helpful, and reassuring...helping me pick the appropriate shipping method without trying to get me to spend more money. They have gone the extra half mile, thinking about what exactly I'm sending rather than just shipping it. They even offered me plain ol' tape to fix my envelope I had to reopen without any huffiness about it having to be a certain type of package being mailed a certain way. This is my local post office. You know that you go there too much, when they recognize you. I just have to say that one day I was 20 cents shorts and the lady said that she would cover it and to bring it in with me next time. I had a $20, but they were a little short on change. When we got to the car, we had the change and brought is back in. Great service and really kind hearted employees. read more

AND, this other customer woman came in saying her mailboxes got broken into and was redirected to go to this USPS location, both the asian employee AND the Indian woman barked down this womans throat "NO THIS IS NOT THE LOCATION, GO TO ______ _______". I was grossed out at how defensive the employees got on this poor woman who is confused and being told wrong information from the OTHER USPS location. I can't believe this place, a small post office in downtown willow glen with no lines like the main office. I would venture to guess it might stay this way for a while as even with the address in hand I drove past it twice! I finally just parked close to the numbered address and found it feet away from where I had parked. It is in a really cool looking movie theater style front building. Once in theres sushi, a coffee joint and a cool looking barber shop which was closed at the time but will come back to try out later. The way they have built up down town willow glen has a real homey feel to it. It's a one stop shop but with smaller old time America shops. read more

They just lost me tens of thousands of dollars. I changed the card I use to pay for my po box, and just found out they must have not used it. I have been waiting for important mail but got no notice that they were not delivering my mail to me until they received payment. They just sent me an email stating that they have shut down my box. I've been trying to call them for an hour straight. There is no voicemail box and nobody has answered. The phone is now off the hook, so it sounds like someone got tired of listening to the phone ring and left it off the hook. read more

I am noticing in other reviews that this location is not typically crowded. I can imagine that with the location it likely is a quick in and out stop most of the time. While I was filling out the labels for my mail, the "rush" happened, and I think I counted four customers in and out. Unfortunately this review is based on the service of one individual. Stephanie was very unhelpful. The details are irrevelent and involve tracking down a package that started its delivery via Fed Ex and then was dropped off at the Post Office for the final leg. I called prepared with every tracking #, case # etc that I had collected during this fun process and was told that it wasnt there. It was my first time at a post office and after waiting in line for 20 min I ask Debrah I wasn't sure what I had to fill out for certified mail and she tells me that all the papers are in the back with out even helping me fill it out. If you have oodles of time to spare, and don't mind standing in long for waaay longer than you have to and like to listen to the postal service person talk and talk and talk and talk, then come to this location. If you're like the rest of us and have things to do other than try to send a package or envelope, this USPS location is a nightmare. The employee, Daniel takes FOREVER and is super unhelpful. I needed to deliver a package. and asked for the most economical option. He started a monologue of all the options available to me, when we finally can upon the one that was obvious from the start he wouldn't let me pay, he said I had to tape up the box before he would help me and proceeded to help two other customers in line!!! I had trouble with the tape dispenser and if he could have JUST helped me, just a tiny little bit, I wouldn't have been there for an eternity.
