Spent 15 minutes waiting in a full line while the two female workers observed the lobby filling up, they chose to have a personal conversation rather than address the customers I asked if they were on break they weren't. When I presented the usps label with the clearly displayed usps label QR code and shipping number and the label clearly says present at any usps location to have printed she decided that they suddenly don't offer that service and haven't offered that service when I've shipped multiple items from this location. Their box drop off container in the main lobby has been broken for quite some time. I can't get there before 6 M-F so it's been an inconvenience. Last time I checked it was still broken and someone of staff there told me it keeps getting broken because of heavy objects people drop in there. Not sure how they can find a solution to that, but a way to drop off something larger than a letter after hours is needed for those of us who need to come after hours. read more

This post master is terrible. For years they've had a drive thru Mail Drop off at this location right off Meridian Ave. it was so convenient to drive up, drop your mail in the slot and drive away. I don't know why the decision was made but the turned all the drop off mail boxes to the side so now you have to drive up, get out of the car, walk over and put it in the slot and drive away while others are waiting behind you. It's completely inconvenient now and does not help people with disabilities. I mean for 30 years it's been a drive up drop off. Dumb decision to change it. I hope others will make their voice heard as well. File complaints with the disabilities act. read more

It hurts my heart to talk down on a us post office since I have so many dear friends who work there, and we all know Besos is slowly bleeding then dry and laughing about it. But this was my worst experience sending a letter of my life. Listen guys, my passport needed to be renewed and I don't know all the ins and outs of something I never did for myself before. Small area but not busy at all! I came by on a Friday afternoon and surprisingly, it wasn't busy at all! I was able to drop my package and leave in under 3 minutes! They also have a medium sized parking lot, so parking isn't difficult to find! read more

Great spot for quick drop off. Didn't need to stand in line but there was only 2 ppl in line and the worker seemed pleasant.

I have not received my mail in over 3 weeks, I have filed 3 different cases with USPS and has not been resolved. I have escalated my complaint to Consumer Affairs and nothing has been done. Man - i've never given the US post office a bad review. Except for now. I work for the city and needed to drop off books on san jose to to mailed out to clients. They are clearly educational books (books ABOUT San Jose ) and the lady at the counter said it must be delivered as a package. dude. I'm pretty sure the usps website says all EDUCATIONAL books are considered media and wanted to charge $4.60 per book. dude. a media packet is supposed to be $2.80 and they wouldnt take it. i had well over 30 for clients that have programs that would economically help the city. I left my box. Inside the shipping box. In the main lobby. January 21,2024 .it's January 30,2024. And it hasn't yet been scanned. I was told by the Indian lady due to bad weather. My package is delayed the scan. The package is missing. It's not the first time. It's a on going thing. If you don't get in line .get a receipt. They can steal your package. I have lost 3 or 4 so far. I reported it. Nothing you can do. I hope when you read my review message whoever is stealing my packages. My package. I had sold some hokka tennis shoes on poshmark. Yellow Hokka size 7.5. Tennis shoes. You are enjoying them. While the person who paid poshmark for it. We're waiting for the money. But we're not going to get the money. The Indian lady with the bob hairstyle was super rude!! Rushing people, not letting them ask questions, which meant they had to return to ask questions. It really slowed the line versus if she would have just taken the extra 10 seconds initially...Maybe there is a reason why she doesn't wear her nametag. I've never had any problems with this post office location. All the people who work there seem to do well under pressure (during holiday rush when I most recently stopped in) and are pleasant. No one overly chatty or rude to me. The space itself is small, so once you get more than 5 people waiting, the line hits the main door so that can be a little daunting. I would say it goes pretty quickly though assuming everyone has everything they need to mail their items. read more

I really like this post office. It is hidden away and is never crowded. Parking is easy and service is friendly. Seriously, I have never had more than two people in front of me and most often there is no one in line. The only thing I don't like is that they don't have a postage machine so you always have to go to the counter. Otherwise, this place is great. read more

Their staff has been there for years and its the same staff that used to be right next to Foodmaxx. They had to relocate around the corner because it was 10x smaller (budget cuts). Their staff are very helpful, fast, and really know what they are doing. Keep in mind that they don't always tell you the cheapest way to ship your package because money is what will keep them there. Ask the right questions and you'll get the right answer is my motto. Ever since they moved I have never had to wait in line longer than 5 minutes whereas before I've had to wait for 15 minutes plus. Their front store is relatively small, but it gets the job done. I ship packages at least 3x a week and this is by far my favorite post office. read more

The only positive thing I can say about this post office is that the clerks don't spit at you. Expect long lines and inefficient employees. For example, when someone has to fill out a bunch of addresses on packages, they just let that customer stand there and hold up the line while the minutes drag on. (They could politely ask the unprepared customer to step aside to fill out the forms and help other customers who are ready and waiting.) The lines are so long, you almost feel like you are in a spoof movie, but this post office is real. Trying to mail something at this location is similar to dealing with dial-up internet. You may want to try the Pony Express for faster service. read more

I was looking to get a PO Box nearby. The downtown post office wasn't a good choice due to limited hours of operation to access my box. The lobby at this location is rather small but the service was faster than expected. Mei took care of my request. She not only took the time to explain the paperwork but went beyond that to suggest how best to manage package deliveries and to remind me to also submit the paperwork for an address change. She made sure I completed the right forms. She was very knowledgeable, professional and friendly. The customers also seem to know the staff so gave it a community/personal feel. This is the closest Post Office for me and I have been going for years. The folks were always very friendly and helpful. However, I went yesterday and something has changed. Either the new person is super annoying and pushy or they are really trying to up sell unnecessary products to us. I had a CD (compact disk) worth $2 that I wanted to send to my parents. I asked for media rate because it is cheapest. The woman behind the counter presented me with all the regular, expensive options on the little screen and did not include the media rate cost until I persisted. She kept insisting on the other options even though I told her I didn't mind it taking longer to deliver. I had to keep saying no. Then she kept insisting on adding insurance even though I repeatedly said the item was only worth $2. I felt very pressured as there were people behind me and I didn't want to hold up the line. How many times do I have to keep saying 'no' and 'media rate please, no insurance add ons'. read more

In and out in about 10 minutes. Fastest experience at the post office ever. Was returning my package and luckily could return it with any carrier. Came in hoping they would tape my package up for me since I didn't have any masking/tape at home. The lady was super friendly and replaced my old packaging with a new one and even taped it for me. OMG one of the worst places to go if you need counter service. There are ALWAYS lines at this Post Office, and the lines move slowly. Half of the people in line would have been better served if they had a self-service kiosk in the lobby. Not sure if the kiosk that is mentioned in other's reviews is erroneous or not, but to be fair, those reviews were from 2007. I have yet to find a time when there was no line for counter service. When I was there last, some latino male walked in and stole a box from the mailing center (no it wasn't one of the free ones). read more

A pretty ugly post office. One of those necessary places in life, but sure wish they could make the facility prettier! Post Office has a self service lobby, stamp machine and scale, post office boxes and a full service 3 counter setup. Always a line. Parking is free, but St Jame's Post Office a few miles away is so much prettier of a place. read more

You have to go in the middle of a work day to avoid the lines. Otherwise this place totally sucks, and forget coming here during the holidays. Yeah, it's hard to find, but now that the building is painted that horrific color, it's easier than it used to be. The counter staff have always been nice, never had a problem with that. I used to come here all the time when I lived in San Jose, but now only come on my way to do an errand somewhere else, so I never stick around long. Several times now I have dropped my packages around 4:30pm and placed them with all the other packages on the counter and they do not get scanned in. The tracking still says "pre transit". This is really upsetting to me bc these packages have a shipping deadline that is missed because of this. Last pick up is at 5:00pm, I get them there prior to 5:00pm they should be scanned in that evening! You people need to get your shit together! read more
