I went to this USPS because it's close to SJSU & City Hall. It's on 3rd & Paseo de San Antonio, across from Tengu Sushi. One counter open & 2 people in front of me. It moved pretty fast. I picked up: Pixar Forever Send A Hello Stamps 1 sheet (20 stamps) for $8.80 Go Green Forever stamps 1 sheet (16 stamps) $7.04 American Scientists Forever stamps 1 sheet (20 stamps) for $8.80 My total $24.64. Charged it. I wanted more Pixar stamps, but they didn't have anymore. Must check the other USPS soon.

This USPS is super small and it can get very busy inside! There's usually a long line and a long wait -- only one or two workers at the front...most of the time it's one person working and it just takes forever! But this place is conveniently located across from SJSU, so I stop by here whenever I need to return my rented textbooks, packages, or if I need any stamps. Also, this is a great place to come get your money order if you need to pay rent or whatever, but there is a dollar fee! There is a lobby with mailboxes too, so come here if you need to rent a mailbox. Overall, place is okay, I just come here when I need to. There's no parking lot, only side street parking, but I always walk here from campus.

Closed for 15 minutes to get change.

Someone needs to update the hours on here because they don't reflect your real business hours.

Only one person working, bad attitude, the line is always long, you definitely need patience for the long waiting time.

This is my first time going to this Post office (usually I go to one close to work) I worked with Deborah the clerk and she was so kind and helpful.

I took a look online for process and to no surprise as all other government offices, appointments were months out. I did a quick google search for non appointment options and found Eastridge Post Office welcomed non appointments. I waited about (2) hours in line as there were a mixture of appointments and non appointments. Once I was up, the process was seamless and Harry was professional and delightful to speak with. He answered all my questions in some of the areas I left blank on the application and he worked as quick as he could to get everyone taken care of. Definitely an efficient multitasker. Anyone coming here to get help with processing your passport, I'd say downloading or filling out the application ahead of time helps with the process and bring your photos and all supporting documents to make it quick and easy.

Mailing a letter was straightforward; they had plenty of envelope options to choose along the walls. I went for priority shipping (~$0.70 extra), but my clerk slapped on some stamps (+$1.50) without a heads-up or asking--frustrating on principle, even if it's costly. Pro tip: Lines move fast, so jot your return address while waiting (no pens on hand--bring your own!). Solid 3 stars--efficient service saves the day, but transparency matters. I would swing by again if needed but will try to generally avoid.

As I was waiting in my car in the drive-through line, the person in front of me shouted out that the box was so full she could not put one more piece of mail in it. I parked in the side lot to go inside. As I was walking in, a man told me the mailbox inside was so full you had to hand your letters to someone behind the counter. I was bummed because I was in a hurry and didn't want to wait in line. Fortunately, it turned out you could walk right up to a worker who was accepting stamped, outgoing mail with no wait. He kindly stopped me to say one of my cards needed two stamps instead of one. He also complimented the stamps I was using, which were WPA posters from the Great Depression that I bought a few years ago. It was so nice of him. This post office always seems to be crowded, but I've only ever had good service here, except the time I saw a manager throw an outgoing box across the room years ago. That's an image I'll never forget. I vow to mail my cards well in advance of Christmas next year.

That's fine - my apt. mailbox is small, so USPS usually either stuck it in the package box or delivered at my door. Later that day, I get a note in my mailbox stating that the mailbox wouldn't fit the package and I could either have it redelivered on another day or go pick it up. I went online and scheduled a new delivery date. Got a confirmation email and thought everything was settled. New delivery date came... And went. Package still showed as new delivery date scheduled, will be delivered on scheduled day. This went on for three days before I just contacted shipper and asked them to send me a new one as I figured it was lost now. My new package got delivered two days later thru a different carrier and the status on the 1st package was still the same. Two weeks after that - status on package changed to lost and then returned to sender, all within 20 mins (timestamped). Interesting... Anyway - I would not recommend this location. Not sure why my package was here as this is NOT the closest one to me, but I'm sure it has to do with distribution lines. Even before this, I'm always worried about my mail and it's been lost numerous times before. Be careful if you need to send/receive mail from this location.
