My review is going to start by saying thank you Harry! And 5 stars for his service! I was in a bit of a bind with an upcoming work trip in the next 2 months, my passport had just expired and I had recently just got married and was in the process of a last name change for all my documents. I took a look online for process and to no surprise as all other government offices, appointments were months out. I did a quick google search for non appointment options and found Eastridge Post Office welcomed non appointments. I waited about (2) hours in line as there were a mixture of appointments and non appointments. Once I was up, the process was seamless and Harry was professional and delightful to speak with. He answered all my questions in some of the areas I left blank on the application and he worked as quick as he could to get everyone taken care of. Definitely an efficient multitasker. Anyone coming here to get help with processing your passport, I'd say downloading or filling out the application ahead of time helps with the process and bring your photos and all supporting documents to make it quick and easy. read more

My husband and I came in for a passport. First off, I was able to get an appointment in only 5 days. Everything went very smoothly. Carmella the postal worker was great, and made our day. She gave good advice and was patient even when I was having an issue (because I had made a mistake on the spelling of my middle name on my DL). She was friendly as well as funny. It made the chore enjoyable. It's next to JC Penny's. Parking was close, and lots of spots open (unlike when I've gone to the Oakridge Mall.) read more

First time at the Eastridge Loop Post Office today--walk-in line was decently long (maybe 15-20 mins), but it zipped along thanks to three efficient clerks keeping things humming. Mailing a letter was straightforward; they had plenty of envelope options to choose along the walls. I went for priority shipping (~$0.70 extra), but my clerk slapped on some stamps (+$1.50) without a heads-up or asking--frustrating on principle, even if it's costly. Pro tip: Lines move fast, so jot your return address while waiting (no pens on hand--bring your own!). Solid 3 stars--efficient service saves the day, but transparency matters. I would swing by again if needed but will try to generally avoid. read more

Very long lines for both mail service and passport service with 3 people working and 1 goes to lunch after the other which leaves only 2 people working. The only worker trained to process passports alternated between the passport office and the mail service desk. Took 3 hours to be seen. There were 3 people ahead of me in passport lines. 3 other people came with appointments so I was bumped. Each person took about 10 minutes to process with our without appointment. 3 hours to process 6 people for passports is beyond ridiculous. They should not even offer walk in and just offer by appointment ONLY. This way, No time is wasted. read more

Stopped in at the postop on a Friday after work, and they were open, yay. I like that this post office located inside the Eastridge mall is opened until 7 PM in the evening which makes it very convenient for dropping off packages and mail after work. Employees are always welcoming and very helpful in getting you the items you need to mail off your letters and packages to loved ones. The US post office also offers a variety of services. As for value and cost effectiveness I'm assuming it's pretty much the same throughout all USpost office's. read more

I came here for passports, and waited over 2 hours before the staff came out to say he wouldn't be able to take very many people. They opened at 12pm for walk-ins, but even after 1:30pm, they still had not helped the first person in line. The previous week, I came by at 3pm to ask a question, and the line was the same length as this time. The staff had come out right at 3pm to ask who was doing walk-ins. I suspect that they are very busy with appointments the whole time and do not have the capacity to attend to walk-ins until much later than the hours they are posting. I would try to ask about the wait expected first before waiting. At one point, the staff spent 15 minutes shuffling through paperwork instead of helping customers. At another point, the customers took 20 minutes to get their kids to stand still for photos. I gave up when the party that was in the front of the line became a party of 13! There must be a better system. My documents were complete and would not have taken so much time for the intake. The cut-off was about 25 people, so the staff seemed pretty optimistic. Otherwise, the staff is very patient and friendly. I came here years ago for passports, and they were pretty efficient. read more

PASSPORT SERVICES REVIEW// First off, you're better off making an appointment 100%. I know it's hard and their kiosk appointment system never seems to work but if you keep trying online to check for appointments then eventually you will get one. I had to book one a month out so today's appointment was made at the end of January for reference. I had an 11:45am appointment and I got here about 10:30am. There was a small group of people waiting already by then but I'm not sure which of them had appointments. The only reason I arrived that early was because they don't clearly state online or in reviews whether they still accept walk ins so I wasn't sure if my appointment would get pushed if they were done early and it wasn't my appointment time. They do accept both appointments and walk ins but they prioritize appointments then handle walk ins based on their capacity. At 10:40am the manager came out to prep and speak to everyone waiting before she opened up. She let everyone know that one of the passport workers called out so there was only one person handling it all and this would affect how many ppl they got to today. They were just going to handle the appointments and 5 walk-ins. I've read the negative reviews of this location and was definitely concerned for how my experience was going to go but again, having an appointment saved me a headache and some sleep. When it was 11am they opened up and began taking the appointments one by one. They call out the appointment times and if you're not there when they call you they move on to the next person, so definitely come a bit early if you can just in case they are able to take you early. When it was time for my appointment the guy called me in and I was very nervous that he would rush me but he was actually very nice and easy to talk to. He definitely made the whole experience a great one to have! (I unfortunately didn't get his name!!) he asked if I had my passport application filled out, birth certificate, ID/Drivers License, passport photo and how I was paying. He started processing the paperwork for me, and asked what time frame I was wanting (7-10 weeks VS 3-5 weeks). I provided all information and documentation, he explained every step of the process and time frame clearly and asked if I had any questions. I believe he explained everything perfectly so I didn't have any further questions for him. I paid and signed the document and was done! I personally have piercings and you can see them in the photo I provided so he had to me write down on a piece of paper 'I chose to get my facial piercings because of personal preference' and print my name, sign my name and date it. I got expedited shipping and was doing a passport book so I paid $227 total today. You also leave your copy of your birth certificate with them and they file that with your application. They say you should get your birth certificate back in 4 months and if you don't, then they tell you to call a number to talk to someone about it. You can check the status of your application online as well and that's on the first page of the passport application which they will tear off and give to you and circle the relevant information. Overall I had a nice experience! Was very happy I had an appointment and would recommend 1. Getting an appointment for passport services and 2. Getting the guy (if it's a guy and woman handling things) because he was very friendly and clear in all instructions/questions. read more

My passport was lost. So I needed to replace it. I went online to fill out the forms and also make an appointment (recommended) it's easier so you don't have to wait in line. Got there 30 mins before the appointment time. And when it's my turn, the guy in the front was very nice and service was fast too. In and out after 15 mins. Works wonders for walk-in passport application process if you have all the documents that the applicants are expected to bring along with them to file in the application. Enough parking spots obviously as it's located inside the mall and there is plenty of spots to pick and choose as to where you could park. However this was my first time and I parked on the other side altogether though it's a nothing more than a bit of a walk to the USPS store in the mall. I got in there around 9:45 AM and got myself as the first applicant in line ( walk-in- as I didn't have an appointment at this USPS location) and stood by the passport application counter. Within an hour or so there was a line behind me as walkins before the store would open at 11:00 AM to process the applications. Carmelina is God sent when it comes to helping customers especially with the passport application process. My interaction from start to end would not have been more than 5-7 minutes whereby she verified the documents, setup the package that was needed to be sent across (as well on top of that made a copy of my Driver's license as the one that i had taken in was a bit blurry and she mentioned that she obviously would not want the application to be put on hold or denied because of that- Extremely kind of her to do that). There could be days where they take less number of applicants due to their resources/workers available who can help with the processing aspect though they definitely do their best and go out of their way to help. Angel Harry at USPS - Total Lifesaver! What I Expected: Walked in dreading the usual passport nightmare - appointments booked out 6 weeks, tons of paperwork, multiple trips. You know the drill. What Actually Happened: Angel Harry sees me looking lost and asks what I need. When I say "passport appointment," he goes "We can do it right now - it's pretty quiet today." Wait, what? This never happens. The Plot Twist: Rush home, grab documents, realize I'm missing one thing. I'm thinking great, another trip. But Angel just says "Can you call someone at home for that info?" Problem solved in 2 minutes. The Result: My wife and I were honestly shocked. Went from dreading months of bureaucratic hell to walking out with our baby's passport application done. Same day. We did a walk in to get my wife's and kids' passport renewed this past Saturday at 12pm. We waited in line for 45 minutes and was told that they were not taking any more walk-ins since there was a good amount of people who wrote their name on the walk in list before noon. Harry was able to get my wife's and kids' passport paperwork shipped later that afternoon so we didn't have to come back on a different Saturday for another walk in. Harry went beyond to help us by reviewing our paperwork and made sure that all of our documents are all there before shipping. I would recommend setting an appointment if possible but if you have to do a walk in, drop by there before 11am even though the USPS website says 12pm-3pm for passport walk-in. read more

Did not let us explain our situation and just yelled one statement to us over and over again, without any explanation, we were only there for less than 10 seconds. I just had to walk away. Today, was my first experience with one of the USPS front clerks whom my wife had high praise for. The clerk's name is Harry. He previously assisted my wife with some postal services needs she had to take care of about a couple of weeks ago. According to her, Harry was very attentive, cheerful, competent, respectful, & very helpful. It was very similar to what I experienced with him but also went beyond my expectations w/his attention to detail & knowledge of everything related to post office services that I needed including shipping/boxing/ stamps. Today on 11/30/24 We were greeting by Harry! The most remarkable experience we had so far in my entire life. He was pleasant and respectful. He was very informative and knowledgeable. He throughly reviewed my son's passport application and helped me fill rest of it. He explained the entire process from submitting documents of minor's passport renewal to receiving it. He also explained how long does it take as well as where to find status update as well as provided number to call when needed. I have always been treated by tired, grumpy and rude front desk and passport officers. Came in during open hours for passport services. We already had photos and paper work filled out. the attending person helped a couple folks ahead off us and then decided that he would only take appointments before getting to my family. His tone was rude as we were trying to get clarification. There was still over an hour left during the support hours and a family the came in early who had an appointment left before their schedule time so no one was waiting. I approached politely to ask if he could fit us in but for whatever his own reasons would only see appointments which was the person he was currently helping ahead of in line at the time and the next appointment. Now where does it say that the attendwe cans dictate who can be taken to help. It a government service and not private so I doubt he could "refuse" service. I of course could be wrong. read more

Typical "post-office" employees work to move the lines for those of us picking up a package, or purchasing stamps. There is nothing spectacular about this post office other than their PO Boxes. You can pick up your mail after hours and on Sundays. Although, they have raised the prices so it may be worth looking at other vendors if you prefer using PO Boxes as your mailing address. Also, this location offers Passport Services but the lines are often long and the person that accepts the application isn't very nice. Overall, the staff are very similar to DMV workers. Came to drop off a package that I wanted to return. This place is fairly small and is located inside of Eastridge. The workers here are a lot more nicer than the one down on King and Tully, and it's a lot less busy. I just wish they offered free tape rather than having us to buy it. One of the people there offered me a 'priority' tape and so I used it to wrap my package. However, when I got to the front desk I was told I couldn't use the tape, but I wish I was notified ahead of time. Also they didn't have any scissors in hand to lend out, rather they gave me a pen to poke through the tape, a way to cut the tape.
