This place used to be OK. But I will never go there again. When you approach the desk and greet the workers (all of them) they never answer back unless you are caucasian. I have never written a Yelp review and didn't think I would ever write one about a post office. I have had okay experiences here in the past, but today had a different person helping me--a more senior woman with glasses who was incredibly condescending and rude, to me and to every other customer I heard her interact with. It didn't help that all other customers, including me, were people of color and this woman was Caucasian. One example was when I asked, "Could I add tracking to this package?" and she snapped back, "What do you think this is?" I also overheard this exchange between a different customer service rep and a customer next to me: "Where is this package going?" "To China." "Of COURSE it is." It's a sunny 77 degrees on a Saturday afternoon and you're supposed to be providing customer service. This simple trip to the post office left me with such a negative feeling because of the interactions I experienced in 15 minutes--condescending, aggressive, with racial undertones. This is THE WORST USPS I have ever been to. They were so careless that they printed the wrong shipping label that shipped the package back to my home address. There was this old white lady thats so racist and would not admit the fault! Horrible attitude and customer service! read more

Absolutely great service and convenient work hours, Saturday's open till 4 and mail goes out! Staff is very polite, talkative and "old school", they want to help you find the best option for your delivery. The office is located inside the store and has an assortment of envelopes and a bit of office supply, everything very handy. There was no line when we got there (Saturday around 2). TL;DR: ODIOUS! AVOID!! Most awful experience. I had such an awful awful experience here and wish I never came here. I arrived at 9am on the dot to this "post office" and was the first customer. There were 2 old women staffers, one for the actual Hallmark store and another at the back for the "post office" where I was barely helped. This awful condescending woman was so unhelpful, unprofessional and had the worst attitude. I've sent MANY packages to Japan and am very familiar with the forms and details required to fill out the customs form. I saw the form that I needed to fill out behind the counter and asked if I could get that form to fill out. The woman immediately says "We don't do forms here. You have to do it online" to which I asked "Do I need to go to a different post office?" as time was of the essence and I wanted to get to work within the next half hour. She says "No no, we can do it here, but you need to tell me all of the details" and then scolds me for placing the to address in the wrong place on the box - which actually doesn't matter when you have the forms added to the box. Then she proceeds to interrogate me for the package contents and writes all of it down ON A PIECE OF PAPER after weighing my box at 6 pounds. She's trying to figure out the math for the weight against the contents and doesn't take my suggestions, is incredibly condescending about it, basically acts like I'm an idiot that can't add 1+1+2+2=6. She asks me the value of the package which I say is about $150. Her reply - "No no, you have to pick something that's divisible by 6" - WTF? I'm a bit perplexed and just ask if I can fill out the form online and figure it out myself. "You don't need the paper?" No... I don't. "FINE, well MOST people NEED the paper." She gets me to the sad laptop by a printer at the main Hallmark counter and tells me "This is a very slow computer and DON'T go beyond any other screen than the one I pull up" - I say "That's fine, I understand" and fill out the form online very quickly. I hit PRINT and nothing happens. Oh, the printer is out of toner. The woman then proceeds to start fiddling with the printer in clear frustration and saying "Goddamnit, damnit, damn this thing, goddamnit!" After it doesn't work, I again suggest to go to another post office and she goes "I'm SO sorry.... I think you'll just have to do that." Such AWFUL vibes from an AWFUL woman. I've never felt such condescension. I got out of there and was so upset. I didn't even get to send my package and wasted 25 minutes of my life in there. AVOID this place and the bad vibes unless you just plan to drop off something, but don't stay long. There were other customers that came in and the tone she used to address them was super rude "I'll be there in a minute!!" with such impatience. It was only the morning, I can't imagine how she is later in the day. I mentally had to tell myself to be patient and polite but I was horrified at how I was treated and the disgusted tone she used with me. I felt so awful that I'm going to figure out a way to file an official complaint. read more

This place has a non-official mantra that they go by..."We want to help the customer in absolute any way we can possible." - Bill As I came rushing to Bill in hopes of some help (because of course the Post Office is nearly impossible when you're in a conundrum), he took the time to help me as though he was my therapist. Extremely kind, very very knowledgeable (I believe he said he's a retired Postal Employee), and simply the best in his field. He steered me right, then left, but made a pit-stop to assure my issues were all solved. I couldn't be happier he took charge of the wheel. Although they are limited to services (no they are not an official Post Office), I guarantee you if you need help [if they can't do it themselves] with questions regarding the post office...sure they may not know all the answers, but they definitely will make sure you're not left in endless circles like I was...thank you almighty postal god. Checked out this post office for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised. Coming into this post office, I've had very bad experiences with the US postal service. Back home, lines were extremely long, government workers were very unpleasant, and the overall experience was horrible. That hanged today. Located in a large parking lot, this US post office is very convenient to get to. It's inside a hallmark store so look for the signs. Though the place is small, the employees are VERY efficient and approachable. I came in and out like lightning! What a pleasant experience and well deserving of a 5 star. New workers handling mailings who are not aware of the guidelines. If you want guaranteed delivery, this is not the place as even if they do the same thing as the post office, it is not true and parcels not delivered on time that are mailed from here. A gentleman helping me there is a true professional in the way he treated the customers, helping them with best mailing options, etc. Just wow! This is the best Post Office in Sunnyvale. Helpful, friendly staff. It is the only Post Office that I go to Avoid Fremont Ave Post Office. It is TERRIBLE! They rarely empty the drive-thru mailboxes. Boxes get over-stuffed and mail is lost. Long lines and very few clerks read more

Racist experience. This is what happened, I was standing in line to send a letter to my cousin, as I approached the desk, I said "hello" with a smile, the woman attending the desk, Lynn, looks at me and says nothing. Okay...maybe it's not her day. She doesn't say anything, so I proceed to tell her I need to mail this letter and I put the letter on the table. She takes the letter says ".50 cents". I extend my debit card. She refuses to take it. To which I said "here you go" , then she says "you don't have .50 cents?" ---- I just responded by saying "I don't carry cash" and put my card on the table, she then takes it, rolls her eyes and charges the card. I left without saying "thank you" and sad I had this experience with a woman like that. read more
