My review is the best encounter I experienced today with the post office employee named Tuan. I picked up 4 packages and one of them is really bulky for me to carry everything in my car. I told him I will come back for the biggest package but guess what he did? He without hesitation carried the boxes to my car even though there are people lining up to be served. I am literally speechless amd in awe of that kindness, doing his duty above and beyond. I am grateful. May this review reach his manager for really a deserving KUDOS TUAN!!! Tuan was exceptional. I am pregnant and he took the time out of his day to help me package a huge fragile item. He told me to leave it with him and to come back in an hour when he had time to do it. I came back and saw it nicely and safely packaged. He did NOT have to do that nor was it his responsibility to. He helped me out so much and I truly appreciate his kind spirit. Coming into this post office, you feel like you're stepping back into time. Like 1900's, and not in a good way. I'm all for antique, but this post office is neglected and dilapidated. There's bars up everywhere, it's super dark inside - even in the 90* heat at 1PM, and there's limited parking with about 4 spaces. If I didn't have to mail items urgently, I'd avoid this location. Really gives me the creeps. read more

Pros: I can send mail from here. It is close by. Cons: Everything Else. -No or Little Parking -Bad Lighting -Long Lines -SLOW Service -Not Enough Workers This place is horrible. Absolutely horrible. I would not have to go here so often but the postman never knocks to leave a package! He just leaves the slip, I am usually home too! So I have to trek it over to this place and waste at least 1/2 hour standing in line. This is the main Burbank post office so all of the mail pickup is here. This is a great location for to have a PO BOX. for $175 a year you get a decent size box. They just added 40 X-Large and 60 Large box to the inventory. The location is very convenience since it's around the shopping area, the mall, movie theaters, and has a Large public parking and it's always well staffed. read more

I went about three weeks ago to send my packages. I had a problem with the company that I sent it to and they said I needed the tracking number for the packages I sent but unfortunately I lost them. I didn't know what to do. I went back to this USPS hoping I can get a receipt of the tracking number. The lady who was helping me was Roberta and I explained to her my situation, and she went above and beyond! She even printed for me the tracking details and stapled it for me along with my receipt so I don't lose it again lol. Anyways Roberta saved my stress. Awesome service!! read more

Convenient location with ample parking, 3 curb-side mailboxes, right next to the bus stop and across the bridge from the Downtown Burbank metrolink, this post office is VERY central. There's also a wide selection of greeting cards, and they also carry packaging materials. Downside is that sometimes they are out of flat rate boxes at the display stand, so you have to ask at the counter. The crew is friendly and helpful, and really, it's not their fault that lines are long. The automated machine is usually empty / 2-3 person line, and I'm sure most people can use it for their transaction... read more

I purchased a P.O Box at the Olive Street location in 2018. I purchased the box under my hyphenated last name with the understanding that I would receive mail under either last name or both. For the last 4 years, I have received mail in my box that was addressed to a man that I do not know, along with mail that was addressed to me. Each time I received mail for the man who I do not know, I would take it back to the counter and ask them to please stop putting this man's mail in my P.O box. I have asked them to stop for 4 years. They never did. That is unacceptable. Recently, I paid for a time-sensitive important shipment to be sent to me. Upon the arrival of this package and a few others, the mail carrier at this location marked the package "return to sender" and had my package sent back. When I noticed that I was not getting my mail, I went to the front desk to check if there was a problem. I was informed that they sent it back because the mail arrived addressed to me but without the hyphen in my last name, so they decided to send it back because if my name wasn't perfect they couldn't put it in my box. I WAS OUTRAGED. FOR YEARS they have been putting a stranger's mail in my mailbox and NOW all of the sudden my name needed to be perfect for them to put MY mail-in MY box??? Outside of the obvious, the problem with that was that my last name WAS LISTED on the packages. I set up the P.O Box with BOTH of my last names listed. My theatrical name and my legal name. The following is a fictitious example. Let's just say I set up the P.O Box under the name: Jane Parker-Smith. So I should have received mail addressed to MY P.O Box under the names Jane Parker, Jane Smith, or Jane Parker-Smith. ESPECIALLY SINCE MY P.O BOX ADDRESS WAS LISTED CORRECTLY ON THE PACKAGES THAT WERE SHIPPED TO ME! I paid $216 a year for this P.O Box (for 4 yrs), and in that time, I received incorrect mail in my box REPEATEDLY, no matter how many times I asked them to STOP. And when it was time for me to receive something that was time-sensitive that I paid for, that had my correct address, with my correct name, they sent it back???!!!! I am still working to recover the packages and the time/money that this post office has cost me. I have talked to the employees at this post office as well as the Supervisor at the Hollywood Blvd office. I have been apologized to but not refunded for the money/package lost because of their negligence or for paying for a P.O Box where I received a stranger's mail for 4 years but not my mail when it really mattered. If you want to receive your mail, I would strongly suggest that you do NOT pay for a P.O Box at this location. read more

This post office is located in the "downtown" area of Burbank. I don't think I've ever been here, it's on a busy street with no street parking but there is an alley way with a SMALL parking lot for less than 7 or so cars. There were no open spots, I had to circle around and walk 2 blocks, which was fine since it was a nice day, but it could be a problem if you have a lot of packages etc. The first thing I noticed is that it is so dark and kind of gloomy, it's very OLD and seems as if it is going out of business since no effort is put into upgrading it. Luckily, there was no line and I was pleasantly greeted by Kala. We made some small talk and I told her I was sending my grandmother a birthday package. Kala seemed to start looking for something, then pulled out a sheet of stickers and tore off some Birthday ones! She handed them to me to add to my package which i thought was sweet. She also took my package and mailed it for me. I appreciate the friendliness of this location, it makes up for the horrible parking and gloomy interior! read more

This is my favorite USPS, if there is such a thing...... I don't come here often, as it's not convenient for me. But if I'm out for breakfast and need to go, this is the place. It doesn't open until 10AM, but there is a self-service machine to weigh/send packages. The line is usually short and quick, and the clerks are friendly. I will give our local Burbank Post Office 4 stars for the fact that there are a lot of automated ways to avoid the line by using the self service station in the lobby and also for the historical architecture of the building which is cool. Personally, I generally have my packages and mail ready to go and they are kind enough to skip the line and place my completely prepared items on the counter. Note: in the outside chance you have to go to a post office in Burbank, although there are lines (which tend to get longer near the holidays) this one does have considerably shorter lines than the one on Hollywood Way). read more

On 6/25/2021 we were there and they supposed to open by 10 o'clock but they didn't open. By 10:06 an RUDE clerk his name is TUAN came out with a bad attitude saying that they gonna open late because of counting stamps .We all got pissed we were more than 8 people waiting in line and (he said that he doesn't have to come and tell us this information coz that's not his job that's his supervisor job) as he said, he got really really bad attitude.If this guy doesn't know the customers always right and if he doesn't know what does customer service means he should not be even dealing with a customer. I am moving to Burbank and unfortunately didn't get keys to my mailbox for my new condominium. The HOA doesn't have access to those keys, as they are federal property. I called this post office yesterday and was promised a call back from Dave Hernandez, but he never called. I tried calling again today, and all I got was the phone ringing. When I let it sit there and didn't hang up, they would pick up the phone and hang up on me. I got NO HELP from these people. I tried calling the Post Office on San Fernando and spoke to Sandra, who was very helpful and gave me the number to call consumer affairs at 661-775-6681. Consumer affairs was able to patch me through to the supervisor at this location (I'm stuck with this Post Office because they service my new condo), but as of this moment, I still don't have the issue resolved. I was promised again that Dave Hernandez will call me, and when I asked for a direct line for the supervisor in case I get blown off again, I was told I should just call the main number. Stay posted, as it sounds like I'll have to do this whole thing all over again and call consumer affairs in order to get an answer and a resolution. read more

I've never really had a problem with this branch. They have always been helpful and speedy. They always recommend the more affordable or quickest option, whatever I need at the time. Just don't go during peak hours (before closing) and you be good! Also bring your own tape, packing supplies and marker. read more

Day 1 Called person name Cathy was nice tried to find my package but was not successful said to call her back at 5:30pm so she can check with the postman/women. BUT the post office closes at 5pm so 5:30??? Day 2 Called at 10am Cathy won't be there until 10:30. Fine I'll call back. Day 2 Called at 10:30am Cathy still not there so I just asked for help, lady put me on hold for 10 mins (10:40 ish )..I hung up! Day 2 Called at 10.50ish am NO Answer Day 2 Called at 11am NO Answer Day 2 Called at 11:30 NO Answer RIGHT NOW as i'm writing this review the phone just rings and rings... now you tell me if this is okay. even if they find my package it won't make anything better just because of the experience i'm having. read more

I love this Post Office. They make it so EASY for you. The employees will even help you out if you don't label something correctly- I mean, they could not be more helpful unless they came to your house and did your packing for you. The customers at the post office are so unappreciative. These employees are always SO NICE, and the building is always clean, unlike some others... They even provide a kiosk so you can ship your stuff without having to stand in line. I wish people came more prepared so the line wasn't so long, but that is NOT the fault of the post office! I think everyone needs to stop and appreciate all the US Postal Service does for us. read more

Never single employee I've encountered is rude and clearly irritated. They will happily take your money and not deliver your package.

Always long line because there are only 2 post office counters open. One elderly man that I believed was a post office box holder kept verbalizing his frustrations that he got a yellow card from his mail box which means he'll pick up a package. Nobody can help him right away just to have his Amazon package. He was told to get in line even though he will not mail anything. For crying out loud, there were about 15 people ahead of him that has tons of mails and boxes to mail and all he needs is someone to get his yellow card so he can pick up his package. Very poor customer service, I changed my mind in renting a mail box because I dont see any ease in having one. The other post offices that I have been, someone will yell out now and then "anyone picking up packages?" How come they cant do that in this post office. Another person said she was afraid to pick up mail early morning because some homeless sleep inside, she feels not safe and afraid that if she makes noise and wake up the homeless people sleeping, they might get angry at her. I am typing this while in line and I still 6 people ahead of me! Just frustrating, and all I want is a booklet of stamps. Sad too that this post office opens at 10am, why cant they open at 9am if 8am is not possible. Thumbs down! read more

I love this post office and I'm so glad I live right down the street from it. The employees are always nice and friendly to me and very helpful. They are also on their game about getting stuff shipped out fast. I ship 6 days a week to clients around the US and internationally and many people comment about how fast their package came. I sell stuff on eBay and print my own postage. WAY better than dealing with these disgruntled employees. Anyway, they open at 10am and on Thursday, at 10:30am, I drop off a package. For 2 days I notice no activity on the tracking number. They never scanned it in until Saturday morning! They let the package sit there for 2 days until scanning it and shipping it! WTF? I shipped a package out earlier this month and it arrived damaged. This is inexcusable especially because they charged more for special handling, and not only did I verbally tell the clerk that there was something fragile inside, but I wrote all over the package "Do NOT Flatten!" and "Handle with Care!" I do not know how much more clear I can get! So the recipient of the package was disappointed, as was I, and she mailed it back to me so I could fix it. So today I go in to get a refund, and the clerk says there's no supervisor there! Are you kidding me?! He said I'd have to go to another post office. It's not worth the money in gas or my time to do that, and it's not really the $6.96 I'm worried about but it's the principle of the matter! I even went online to file a claim, and the website wouldn't allow me to. (The website is just as incompetent as their workers!) I can't tell you how frustrating and infuriating their whole system is, and I'm really looking forward to using FedEx or UPS next time. Those companies might actually hire people that care, or can at least READ English! All I want is a refund and a credit to re-ship my fixed item. It's not the worst post office by far, but one of the men upfront likes to take his sweet sweet time when shipping multiple packages. I went in with 10 small packages and it took about 20 min of standing there, waiting and watching him sigh to himself after each one. He was not even friendly and ignored most of my dialog. read more

I called on Nov 27, 2019 @ 11:23am to track my package because I had a concern about it. I called once and I told her I will call back in a second, I apologized & she said nothing and straight up clicked. Like c'mon where are your manners. I called back again and I told her my concern and she answered my question all frustrated. After that I said okay thank you & again she just clicked and said nothing back.
