I came to this place twice. The first time was back in January, and I had the Nashville chicken sandwich. It was delicious, and I was down to have that again, but I also wanted to try something else for my second visit. They had different items on the menu that I was tempted to try. I wanted to try their cheeseburger this time. If I'm being honest, it was tastier than a lot of other cheeseburgers I've had in other local restaurants. Aside from the food, the employees were really nice people. I think I met the store manager who liked the shirt I was wearing. My wife and I went for a late lunch last week. The restaurant was well maintained on the exterior. As we entered it was a bit of a puzzle where to order but we figured it out. Our cashier was friendly enough and demonstrated menu knowledge which was helpful. The food was very good and even though each dish was over $20, I felt there was good value for the quality of ingredients and portion size. My wife had the steak and I had the surf and turf. Both were filling and I enjoyed my Brussel Sprouts, but they were a tad soggy and I would have liked a little more char. My mashed potatoes were great but could have used some more gravy. The steak was great! No issues there, very tender. Shrimp was solid, but I didn't love it coming on a skewer. The place is big but we had trouble finding a clean table, that was probably the biggest issue of the visit. read more

To be honest, these kids plates were super big, and I couldn't even finish my plate. I ended up giving half of my plate to my brother who had the steak plate. He said the steak was very juicy as well and the brussel sprouts were seasoned very well. Could've been crispier though, he said HAHA == SERVICE == Service was very good. The guys handling the to-go station were super nice and got my order out quickly. == AMBIANCE == This Urban Plates no longer has the long queue line where you can see the food and order as you go down the line. I came here for lunch with friends and we all absolutely loved it! I especially like all the vegetarian choices that are available in each food category and the vegan menu. Service was attentive. They kept coming by to refill our ice teas. The ambiance is an urban modern feel with wood and metal mixed together. There is a nice outdoor patio. I had the mixed beet salad and I added grilled tofu as a protein. So fresh and delicious. A friend tried the urban combo half portobello mushroom sandwich and soup. Another friend tried the Mediterranean chicken bowl. As much as I loved my salad I'm going to order the Mediterranean bowl next time I come here. It looked so yummy. We were all trying to be good, so we didn't order dessert, but the cakes and the mango tart looked in incredible! This is definitely going onto my list of friends and family birthday restaurant possibilities. Delicious healthy entrees and beautiful cakes in a fun contemporary atmosphere. read more

I absolutely love that there's an extensive allergy list that includes more than the usual culprits as I can't eat garlic along with several other things. I was able to find several options on the allergy list first then look at the menu to build my meal quickly. Jay took great care of us and offered suggestions too that might best work for me as well. The hamburger and steak dishes are a hit or miss. The drinks are excellent as well as the sides.
