Got our slice of NYC pizza at Upside in Brooklyn and it did not disappoint. I got a slice of the vodka pizza which uses vodka sauce as the base. It was so delicious! The pizza was thin New York style but the bottom still had a nice crunch to it. The crust was really good too. Everyone working in the shop was super nice and even gave us free samples of soft serve ice cream that they were serving. A+ NYC Pizza experience at Upside!

4.5 stars. It's the Brooklyn NY pizza you want. It's the pizza that holds its shape. It's the pizza with the sauce that's just right. The pizza with the right ratios. I loved the sicilian and the spicy vodka. Great yeast flavor to the crust. This is REALLY picky, but the crust is slightly too hard for my liking. I like a little more chew to my crust. Near close to perfect though.

I was shocked at how good this sourdough pizza was, I had never had sourdough pizza before! I was really just expecting normal slices, and it added a certain "je ne sais quoi" () to the pizza. Delicious! *Also, the guys behind the counter were really friendly!

Yum yum yum - got a cheese slice and a pepperoni slice after hanging out in Ask for Janice. Thought the salt level was perfect, good sauce to cheese ratio (one not overpowering the other), and was piping hot! Thought the crust was pretty tasty too. I wouldn't go out of my way, but definitely coming back for a slice or two when I am back in the area.

came here with my young daughters while waiting to go to the pool on a saturday. my 8 year old got a plain slice it was a bit greasy i had to dab the oil but most pizzas are . me and my 12 year old got a pepperoni square we asked for a corner slice so good and they use the small pepperoni which we loved. we got a fountain soda so we were able to get a refill. the bathroom is all the says to the back like another private seating area nice and clean. didn't think they had a bathroom as it's not advertised. i'm glad i asked.they also have a separate vendor selling ice cream but we didn't get to take pics of that. also outside seating .

Really great pizza with lots of seating. Pizza was so good and Von the owner was really nice. Overall such a great atmosphere to have a nice little date! Definitely gonna come back. If i lived closer this would be my regular spot to just hang and eat pizza

Pizza Slices. GOOD. Nice sized Slices with plenty of flavor. I could smell the Pepperoni off the topped Slice. Don't know why UPSIDE doesn't make the BEST of Pizza lists. RECOMMEND.

The pizza was good, but at $5ish a slice, not entirely worth it in my book. Scratched the itch but would likely go elsewhere next time!

One of my new favorite slices in NYC. I'm still thinking about this pizza days later. I didn't see a written menu so I just ordered by pointing to what looked the best, and my eyes did not deceive me. These slices were AMAZING and I can't wait to be back!!

I thought this spot was pretty good, especially for being open that late! The mushroom slice was excellent, really fresh, creamy, well-cooked mushrooms. To nitpick, some lemon zest (like Fini) would've taken it to the next level, but it was great. The next best was the spicy vodka, which had more of a tomato (almost tomato paste) flavor and less of the creamy tang that comes with vodka. But that being said, the texture of the dough was great. The square slice was last, because of the recook, the bottom was burnt while the middle and top were cold. It was pretty bad :( all things considered, I'd come back for a late night slice, and probably stick w the mushroom. Thanks team!

I stumbled upon this place and fell in love. I was going to go for the pepperoni pizza then I saw the mushroom pie. I asked the guy if it's good, of course he said it was... I wanted to be the judge of that. It was AMAZING !!! Tastebud overload but in a good way. I highly suggesting getting the mushroom slice but make sure it's fresh. The slice is made with a white wine lemon cream sauce. Y'all it so so so good! I literally ate here for a few days straight and had to force myself to stop. There's a decent size dining area to eat your slice, you can eat in front of the restaurant as well. Not to sure but it gives speakeasy vibes because there's a door you can go in to a club/extended restaurant.

It's a cash-only place, and my order was ready in about ten minutes. The Grandma slice was quite dense, with a cracker-like crust. I've eaten here, come to the Bushwick Block Party to see Action Bronson perform, and spent enough time around Tiki Disco to associate the place with a particularly inventive, free-spirited period in the neighborhood. The dining area still has that wonderfully idiosyncratic character: exposed beams, communal tables, mismatched details, and an open kitchen turning out genuinely excellent pizza. What impresses me most is how naturally Roberta's became more than a restaurant. Food, music, parties, outdoor spaces, and an extraordinary mix of people all seemed to converge here, giving the place a cultural gravity that could never have been designed by committee. It remains one of those places that instantly takes me back to my bachelor years and an especially fun chapter of my time in the city, when Bushwick felt endlessly creative, and Roberta's seemed to sit comfortably at its center. This is the first restaurant we've been to with 20% auto gratuity for a party under 6.
