I've walked by this place several times, without paying it much attention. It never looks busy and it's kinda oddly shaped (the entrance is kinda long). It also has a B rating. It was surprisingly cute inside. It's a fast casual place (not a restaurant) and it has some tables for sitting. I was pleasantly surprised. I kept it simple with a pepperoni and a cheese slice. It was crisp (not doughy) like some places. I think I like this place better than some other places in the vicinity. If they could just get that rating up to an A I might eat here with more confidence. read more

Had a Jones for a good pizza so went yelping for great reviewed joints that deliver in mi barrio. Mario's had great reviews and were open so they won the pizza roulette for the day. Ordered the mushroom pie and one either veggies and ham. I like that they have small medium and large because it helps w not overeating. The pizzas were both good. Fresh and flavorful ingredients equally proportioned. The dough was a little soggy but I think it's because they arrived cold. That's why they get dinged a star pizzas arrived cold and not in hot sleeves to keep hot. Will give them a try in the restaurant and expect pizza to be much better fresh out the oven. a very good pizza shop in greenpoint that offer a variety of pizza pies from plain cheese to nutella to calzone and many more toppings. needed to order 2 large pies for takeout and first pie will be margarita but the second pie was not an easy decision with all the choices so its a veggie pie to keep it all simple. a little bit pricey compared to other pizza joints but they use top quality ingredients and you can taste it after just one bite as its not dollar pizza quality. overall a really good pizza shop in greenpoint thats into avant garde interesting pizza toppings that the folks in hip greenpoint seem to enjoy very much . good pizza in my book and the two large pies that are finished proves it . 4 stars on my yelp meter. read more

I was in town with my spouse for Afropunk Brooklyn and we stopped by Mario's because our vehicle was parked right in front. We were hungry so we decided to stop in a grab some pizza. It's going downhill fast. I ordered a large cheese pie well done and the cheese was barely melted when they took it out of the oven - I'm glad I saw that because I had the cook throw it back in for 5 minutes so it would get some color. Given that I was the only person in there at 8 PM on a Saturday night... what's the excuse? Or maybe the fact that it was empty at 8 PM on a Saturday night says it all. Regardless, the sauce tasted both thin and cloying, the crust was way too doughy, and there was probably twice as much cheese as there should have been. Overall, even with the extra time in the oven, it was a soupy, watery, greasy, spongy mess with a weirdly bitter, metallic aftertaste that's still lingering an hour and a half later. I've got 6 slices left over and I can't see them going anywhere but the trash - this was borderline inedible. A large cheese pizza. In Brooklyn. Come on... Pretty much every pie I've got from here this year has been getting progressively worse, and the vibe in there is pretty dperessing, as well. No mas. I'm out. read more

DO NOT order from the gluten free option section on seamless. I was delivered a wheat crust pizza. I called and was met with confusion and told I could have them make me GF pizza but I would have to pick it up. I explained that I had ordered the gluten free option in the first place and not only is this INCREDIBLY RECKLESS AND DANGEROUS but also isn't my mistake to correct. They weren't any help. I was refunded through seamless and am furious. If you cannot eat gluten due to health issues do not eat here. read more

This place needs to come with a warning that says: "WARNING YOU WILL BE HOOKED TO OUR PIZZA." Holy moly cannoli is this place good. I ordered it off Seamless mostly by accident for a girls night in and now my friends constantly ask me to invite them over and order more of this pizza. I got several of the personal pies and it was just perfection after perfection. The sauce and crust and toppings are so fresh and incredible that I've had a hard time eating other pizzas. I'm not sure how I feel about the fact that now all my friends are using me for this pizza but I will say I'm a huge fan and will absolutely be ordering from here for eternity. read more

Delivery driver took no responsible and restaurant did nothing to rectify situation. I asked restaurant to send me correct order but they would not. I had to contact Slice to get a refund.
