Hidden gem pizza that we accidentally stumbled upon while in the area Great variety of flavor and toppings Lots of seating Fast service We were initially sad because some flavors were sold out when we arrived but their service is very quick and by the time we were done with our first slice, the sold out slices were now available

Caesar salad slice

Hopped on the bus and sped over here after a mid experience at Rita's. Needed pizza redemption!! Caesar salad slice was really good - and the prices are reasonable, considering the going rate for a speciality slice these days (I think the ones here are $5/slice?). Will be back for more! 4.5 stars.

I will go ahead and say it- best pizza in the neighborhood. -You can buy individual slices. -The line moves quickly. -Indoor and some outdoor seating. -Crispy but not charred crust. -Great selection of different types of pizza. -Prices comparable to other pizza places. -Suitable place to bring kids.

White Mushroom

This is a follow up review which I've never done before. I went back on June 3rd which became part of the new hours that Peter instituted for Diamond Slice. This time, in addition to the White Mushroom which is one of my favorite slices in the city, I finally tried their famous Caesar Salad slice. By god, this was one of the best slices I've ever had. The slice was well topped with Caesar salad that was very well balanced and the umami from the anchovies really gave it a kick which made it so delicious. Peter and his crew really hit that slice out of the ballpark and it's the top Caesar salad slice in the city by far. I highly recommend that this slice is something you must get at least once when you visit. And the service and vibe are amazing as always. Definitely my favorite pizza joint in Brooklyn as of writing.

My boyfriend and I came to Diamond Slice specifically for the Buffalo Chicken and Caesar slices based on a recommendation from his friend and both totally delivered. The Buffalo Chicken slice is absolutely to die for. Hands down the best we've ever had, so good that we're still thinking about it. They had just ran out of it when we got there, so we waited for a fresh pie to come out while we ate our Caesar slice, and it was totally worth the wait. Perfect balance of heat, creaminess, cheese - topped with crispy chicken and loads of scallions :) I enjoyed this slice more than I actually like eating buffalo chicken wings. The Caesar slice was also a standout--packed with umami from the dressing, Parm, and anchovy. Even cooled down a bit, it was still delicious, but I'd love to try it fresh next time to see how it hits straight from the oven. The dough is fantastic- thin, chewy and crisp in all the right places - also foldable without falling apart. Classic New York style, elevated with real attention to detail. The interior is super inviting, with plenty of tables and booths for hanging out. It's the kind of place you want to linger. Between the delicious pizza and the chill atmosphere, we'll definitely be coming back!

Really impressed by their Caesar slice!! It seems like a gimmicky kind of slice but it's actually so good, very umami from the anchovy and a perfectly crisp crust. I like how finely chopped the lettuce is, it's not too messy to eat. I also got a slice of cheese, the tomato sauce is nice and tomatoey (if that makes sense) and the crust has a great crispy to chewy ratio. I thought it was funny that they put like 2.5 basil leaves on it lol. Definitely worth checking out this place!

Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza

I was in the neighborhood making deliveries and found this location based off a residents location. I can honestly say that I'm glad I ventured to this location the menu is a little different. I ordered the chicken bacon ranch slices and a glass bottle sprite. The service was amazing and the location decor is spectacular. I will definitely be coming back here whenever I'm in Greenpoint.

This is a new slice shop in Greenpoint, located just 400 ft away from Chrissy's Pizza, and probably throwing a shot at him with the "Slices are Forever" slogan on the windows. Anyway, as L'industrie and Mama's Too in the West Village have proven, there seems to be enough pizza to go around to plenty of people, as both of those have remained steadily packed. That should be the case here too, as both are incredible, and currently some of the best New York-ish style pizza you can get in Brooklyn. As the slogan references, all they have here are slices, with full pies available as well. There are 8 different kinds on offer right now, and all 5 I tried were great, especially the Pepperoni, Caesar Salad and Buffalo Chicken. Also unlike Chrissy's, this one has some nice seating, including a few large booths. I can't wait to return for more, and hopefully before the lines ruin it.

Christine R.

Tried the mushroom slices (with roasted garlic cream, mozzarella and ricotta), spicy vodka and pepperoni slice. All slices were thin and crispy. No soggy bottoms! This pizzeria had (limited) outdoor seating which was nice as we brought a dog. Overall all the slices were good but the mushroom slices was the best. So so good.

supreme and chicken bacon ranch
Katherine C.

I am so glad I got to try Diamond Slice! I went around 7 PM on a weekday and there were plenty of slices left. I got the supreme and the chicken bacon ranch but they all looked amazing. The staff were really friendly and quick and got us an extra chair to sit down. It only took a few minutes for them to heat the slices. Both slices were cooked perfectly which is usually rare for reheated slices. NY slices can sometimes turn into dry crackers when reheated too much but this dough was crisp yet still doughy/chewy. I really liked the supreme which was pepperoni, jalapeño, sausage, and olives but I think the pepperoni jalapeño slice would've been better. The sausage and olives didn't add much. The chicken bacon ranch slice was like nothing I have ever had before. It was amazing! I think they also make their own ranch or something because it had a nice homemade taste. I highly recommend this place especially if you're into unique pizza toppings beyond pepperoni and cheese!

Extremely good. I also love the decor. Friendly staff fair prices. It just rocks. Top 5 pizza. Up there with L'indisutrie . lucia and cello

My new favorite pizza spot! So far I've tried the plain, spicy vodka and caesar slice. I really loved them all. I usually always get a caesar slice, but i need to try all of the other ones that they have

I tried looking up this pizza from Target Richfield for a review, but it sent me to the NYC location, so forgive me if this review is in the wrong thread. Anyway, wow. I've been to New York City and ate at the original Joe's Pizza. What an epic slice of pizza. Now back home in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the great white north of snow that never ends, I finally tried the frozen Di Fara pepperoni pizza from Target no less. Sorry Joe's, but this is on par with your pizza (if it was frozen). Dave Portnoy was right with his high review. This pizza is very good. The thick cut pepperoni, great basil, and the crisp chewy crust was excellent for a frozen pizza. Nice under carriage as well. I cooked the pizza at 480 degrees in an electric pizza oven for 10 minutes, and the result was very good. I added a drizzle of hot honey, and it was spectacular (okay, I also added some fresh picked jalapeños as well). The pizza was hot and melted in the center, and the crust was very crisp, but still had some chew. Wow. This was the best frozen pizza I have had. Bar none. New York, you spoiled me when it came to pizza. Now I can get a taste of New York at home. Great job! I may or may not eat the last 3 pieces currently sitting in the fridge before bed.

Dom has now passed but his legacy continues. I've always compared the then pie vs now. And like most things,, nothing beats the original. This is still a very good slice. I once rated them as the best in NYC. Unfortunately, its not at the very top but still on the podium. Coming back feels like you are saying hello to an old friend. We ordered a whole pie half plain and half pepperoni, which is only $2.50 more. What I notice right away is the zesty tomato sauce, which Has love. However, I must admit that the crust was a bit too hard for my taste. Yes! It was crispy, but biting through it was somewhat difficult. Overall a good slice, but maybe the dough was off a bit that day. Regardless, Luigi's Pizza is an institution and I will be back again next time I'm in the area. Fresh mozzarella, a nicely thin crisped crust, sweet tomato sauce, and fresh basil makes this simple pizza taste great. The fried calamari also impressed. It tasted notably fresh--light, clean, and not overly chewy like pre-frozen versions can sometimes be. While I can't say for certain, it had that just-prepared quality that makes a difference. The Caprese salad was a great way to start the meal, with fresh tomatoes, creamy burrata, and a balsamic drizzle was a nice light start. The atmosphere leans old-school Italian, which adds to the charm and character. Service was fine--nothing remarkable, but no major issues either. That said, my overall rating takes a big hit solely for the restaurants ridiculous tipping policy choices rather than the food itself. The automatic 20% gratuity added to the bill was frustrating. The menu does indicate that 18%, will automatically apply, or will be 20% for parties of six or more. We were only three people, so it felt inconsistent and unnecessary. On top of that, the added cost for credit card usage didn't help. I don't mind tipping for good service! In fact, I tip well--but I prefer having the choice and I'm old school so it's the principle of the matter. Being forced into it, takes away from an otherwise enjoyable meal. Bottom line: the food is strong and worth trying, but the billing practices leave a bad taste. If those were adjusted, this could easily be a higher-rated experience.
