Yes! A Post Office @ The State Fair!…read more SITREP Very cool postal annex here at the State Fair (it's mother-hub is the Royal Oaks Post Office). The first thing you notice by the front door is the AMAZEBALLZ R2D2 Mail box. How dam cool is this? https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/u-s-post-office-california-state-fair-sacramento-4?select=8p1aJumudSsnHS0prERwhA&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w THE SETUP For being small, the variety of stuff is amazing: LOTS of great postage paraphernalia here, from actual stamps of Batman and Jimi Kendrix, and the usual postal services you would expect of an actual P.O., to the great souvenirs. I actually scored a great Batman Stamp shirt that was on special for the Opening Day of the Fair - $15 - AND it was ALL IN BLACK (which is apropos for the "Dark Knight"! (Duh!) ;) https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/u-s-post-office-california-state-fair-sacramento-4?select=yLHg_7ou2Ggh6o3ei8jgtQ&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w The peeps here were very friendly and shared lots of good info about this building's activities, such as the schedule of cooking demonstrations, which is what I was really blitzing through this building for. THE LOWDOWN Great post office souvenir stop to mail post cards, and get collectibles!

I was calling from Tennessee, looking for a package that contained my eyeglasses. The wait time…read morewhen I called said 12-18 minutes, but in fact, it was actually about a 45-50 minute hold. But who's counting! The gentleman who answered was very helpful & very precise in taking all of my information. He assured me that they would most likely find my package, they usually did. He told me to give them a couple of days to locate it & they would email me, & if I didn't hear from them in a couple of days, to call back. He really sounded confident that they would locate the package so I hope I don't have to call back.

He was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. After he found a missed signature on my daughter's permit, he went out of his way to help us correct it, so she was still able to take her test. He didn't have to take the time to help, but he did, going above and beyond. Employees like Mo are diamonds in the rough!

FIND ANY OTHER RECRUITING STATION…read more SFC Isabel is out of his mind, and the 1SG of this recruiting station has no control of his NCOs. For reference I am veteran with 8 years of active duty service. I am currently advising a family member on how best to join the military. After cornering my family member and berating them just for talking to Navy recruiters, both SFC Isabel and the station 1SG kept pressuring them to take a contract they didn't want. At one point, and I quote SFC Isabel stated "you know what, I'm f**king done with you." I advised my family member to take some time to consider best options moving forward, and not make a decision immediately, because this was clearly a red flag situation. SFC Isabel immediately became livid. Getting out of his chair and in my face, and got extremely aggressive and confrontational. Trying to intimidate me, discredit my service, and dismiss my advice. Yelling profanities, and the level of general disrespect towards a family member of a potential recruit, directly in front of your 1SG should be grounds for an article 15 under UCMJ. However the 1SG remained silent and did nothing to de-escalate the situation. I will be pursuing further action through the recruiting battalion chain of command, the Army Inspector Generals Office, and local congress representatives. I will update this review with any outcome, change, or attempt to rectify the issue on the Army's behalf. These NCOs are a discredit to the Corps of Non-Commissioned Officers and fail to uphold the standards expected of them.

This post office is my favorite in the whole universe. I realize I never leave Placer County but my…read moreextensive knowledge of the way our US mail system works leads me to believe this place is the best. Why? The staff are kind and helpful. The postage rates are the same as every other office in the United States. I love small towns businesses. The building is historic. The building even has a G on it. The G means it's a Great building. Most importantly I appreciate the blue stoic guardian(the mailbox) that stands as a sentinel in front of this amazing building. Rain or shine(mostly shine it's CA after all) he takes our burdens and relays them to the postmaster for sorting and sending. One time I saw a dog lifting his leg to the blue mailbox as he would a fire hydrant. It was despicable and it gave me more appreciation for everything the mailbox goes though. Thank you USPS.
