I had a small package and a newsletter that I wanted to send to friends. I didn't care how each got to the recipients, just that it was the cheapest way possible. I also needed an envelope for the newsletter so that it would need to be folded. I easily found the shipping supplies and pulled out an envelope and brought it and the packages to the counter and explained what I wanted. First, he swapped out the envelope for a cheaper one, one I hadn't noticed, and then determined that the US Postal Service was the cheapest way to send each item. Do Not Use This Company for any serious shipping needs - unprofessional, unresponsive, maybe dishonest. Got married in Davis, CA and brought my bride back to New York. Engaged Pak Mail to ship the 1 pallets of her belongs across the country - 500 lbs Charged $1600 and told one week for delivery. Stuff picked up September 21st. Every time my wife contacts the Manager (Andres) regarding her goods he promised to get right back to her - NEVER DID. When she would get tired of waiting and eventually call back, he would have ONE STORY AFTER ANOTHER: 1) - September 25th "We're waiting on packing material, will ship tomorrow" 2) - Oct 5th -FINALLY EMAILED US INVOICE- "product shipped" 3) Oct 12th - "Don't understand why you haven't gotten your shipment will call back" 4) Oct 15th - "Payment delay to subcontractor shipping company on our end - Sorry for delay 5) Oct 17th - palette in Pennsylvania - you'll get a call within 24 hrs regarding delivery 6) Oct 22nd - "still checking" 7) Oct 23rd - TODAYS E-MAIL - "Looks like they figured out what was going on with your pallet. For some reason the it wasn't tracking properly on the website. Our rep informed me that you pallet is on a trailer and has left Tracy, CA yesterday. " What does that last email even mean? I have tried to mail three packages from this location recently. The first package they lost and it never got to FedEx. The second package was not given to FedEx for three days until I called and they found it still sitting in their store. The third package was also not given to FedEx but the employee refused to search the store. I got the manager on the phone who told the employee to look and he found my package. Three strikes and you're out. I will not be going there again. read more

I paid over $1,000 to get my bike shipped to the UK via FEDEX. I was told it would take a week to 10 days. Over one month later and FEDEX seems to have lost my bike. I tried working with Andres the manager with no luck. My phone calls and emails go unanswered. Andres and the staff are very good at local mailing small items but should not be remotely considered for anything of value and certainly should not be used for any international shipping. read more

Good people, great service provided. My go to spot when I need ot ship something or get packing material. Willing to pack just about anything and ship just about everywhere. Keep in mind that they are a shipping broker (ie. they do not do the actual shipping themselves) so sometimes they are at the will of the contracted vendor. This is what allows them to have competitive rates. They have offered me options to white glove something or deliver next day but I'm pretty cheap so I go with their cheaper options. read more

Pakmail does more than just postal service, they provide UPS and FedEx services which is great if you need choices and compare rates. They also have custom packaging so whenever you have a weirdly shaped item you can bring it right in to be packed and shipped. They even ship furniture and big freight jobs. They aren't kidding when their motto is "we ship anything, anywhere!" Superior customer service with quick and to the point questions to make your shipping experience all the easier. Prices are comparable to other 3rd party shipping centers. Scott the owner is a very friendly boss and definitely knows what he's doing. read more

Friendliest people you will ever meet! Actually, it's usually one man running the show here. Definitely, good to talk to him whenever I stop by. Quick service because it's not that busy! It's in between CVS and The Nugget, so it's a good location if you live in this area. Although there is a Post Office on UC Davis Campus, I always opt to go here! Mostly because it's most convenient for me and parking is not a problem here. Pretty straight forward with pricing. I haven't really compared pricing to other locations thus far, but I'll try to keep note on those details for next time I review. Never had a problem here! read more

I go here, because this is the merchant my employer uses to send packages. This is an amazingly friendly and customer-oriented shop! The owner (?) knows regular customers by name, and is so helpful. I really like this place except the cost of mailing a box. I was first given a price of $20, then employee #2 said I would need an additional box as my box was gift wrapped. Cost= $50. $10 for the box and $20 to pack it. I started to unwrap the box as it WAS a shipping box, but they stuck with the $50 charge. My box held 5 pounds of plastic toys. read more

Be warned that if you rent a postbox at Pakmail and subsequently move away, you can't forward your mail with USPS, you have to pay Pakmail to do this. Would not have rented a box here if I had known that even though it was the closest mailbox service to where I lived. read more

I like having my packages delivered there since they can sign for deliveries and nothing is ever left on our doorstep! I've been using Pak Mail since I discovered them a couple of years ago. Scott, the owner/manager, is SUCH a nice man and a pleasure to do business with. I recently had an insured package dispute with USPS, regarding a high-value package that I had sent to an APO address. It was a complicated issue, but since I sent the package through Pak Mail, Scott did all the following up and tracking with the post office.
