Service Requested - Well, I went to return a UPS package. They told me to go to a UPS store and gave me a little paper with the address. So I walked there instead. Quality- They gave me a piece of paper with an address (which was nice) but that wasn't what I really wanted. Value- It was nice that they redirected me to a place that would actually take my UPS return package but as for the value of advertising UPS shipping? A little suspect... Honestly, if you have the UPS logo on the top and in the middle of your sign out front, please do not refer me to a different UPS outlet. It's fairly deceptive to advertise UPS almost as your main gig, yet refer me to an entirely different location. Need to ship via UPS? Go to the UPS store. They'll even give you the address on a little sheet of paper. read more

If you need a Live Scan service, go to PDQ! There are signs that easily indicate which door you should walk through if you're here for fingerprints. They are the most affordable place in the Davis area. Check their website for the "rolling fee" you'll owe PDQ. If your Live Scan is for both FBI and DOJ, expect to pay an additional ~$50 on top of your rolling fee. The person helping me at PDQ was very knowledgeable and personable. I can tell this person cares to provide excellent customer service. They had me "re-do" one scan just to be on the safe side. My only constructive criticism is the time estimate. I went at a very busy time (probably because it is the beginning of the school year). There was a sign up sheet and the person helping me said because 2 customers were ahead of me, it'd be about a 20 minute wait. I went on a 15 minute walk and ended up waiting an additional 35 minutes inside. By the time I wrapped up, an hour had elapsed since my arrival time. If you're in a rush, this might not be the place for you. I noticed the person working gave more accurate wait times to the people after me, so maybe it was a one-time thing. I just wasn't expecting the trip to take up a large chunk of my afternoon. Nevertheless, I am recommending PDQ to my friends who will need Live Scan in the near future. Thanks! read more

This place is amazing! I love how knowledgeable and kind their employees are. The service you get is quick and reliable. They are very professional in here. If you are concerned about parking, there's plenty out front and surrounding the streets by this building. I highly recommend if you are truly worried about parking that you go a little bit early so you can guarantee a spot. If this place is busy, there is a waiting area you can be seated in while you patiently wait for your turn. When I arrived, nobody was in there, and I was promptly taken care of. Can't say enough good stuff about PDQ! They're a mom & pop shop that's been open for 40 years, and you really get the family vibe as soon as you step in. I get stressed out having to send things (finding the boxes, wrapping it up... it's just always such a hassle) but whenever I bring anything in to send, they do all this for me and it's a huge relief. Lynn, the pop in the mom & pop, has taken to painting as his quarantine hobby, and has been slowly working up a beautiful gallery of paintings of their customers that they display in the shop. This place has been a life saver as I'm navigating a complicated remote hiring experience via my school. Their notary public was excellent at explaining my paperwork to me & provided me with referrals to other legal help if I had more questions. I've also had my live scan done here & it was a quick process. They have strict COVID precautions in place. Their live scan is disinfected after every customer. They have glass between the live scan rep & the public. Everyone is wearing masks & they require masks for customers to enter. Plenty of hand sanitizer for you to clean after contact. We love PDQ and have been going there for years. We responded notary services and PDQ is always available and we get in and out quickly. The same can be said for fingerprinting and all types of mailing services. The staff does a great job of giving you mailing options and finding ways to save money. This week I was able to get UPS ground service for half the cost with delivery one day later. I got my notary service done here. Very helpful and courteous, and charged only $15 per document. The lady also told me how to get Apostilles in Sacramento myself for $26/Apostille. I made a mistake a few months ago by calling Apostille Now, who charged $199/document. read more

I needed quick fingerprints for work and found PDQ Fingerprinting on Yelp. I printed the LiveScan PDF, told my co-worker I'd BRB (didn't want her to think I went AWOL), and raced over ASAP. YMMV but TBH PDQ (AKA: Parcel Dispatch PDQ) was everything I needed and more. Quick, cheap, courteous service. BTW, some reviews quote the LiveScan at $18. As of May 2017, the price is $35, but that's still $30 cheaper than my local UPS. PDQ FTW. (OK, no more acronyms, LOL.) read more

I cannot tell you how much I appreciate the staff's kindness and excellent customer service the other day. I had been all over town trying to find a place that does UK visa/passport photos, and found that the clerks at the Post Office and other places were incredibly rude and unhelpful. By the time I got to PDQ, I was incredibly stressed, but they went out of their way to help me figure out a solution and carefully helped me package and check off each item I had to send to the UK visa office. They were well staffed and when there weren't other customers to help, they all jumped in to make sure I had everything I needed. Very disappointed with this small business. They refused to believe that the first fingerprint card I paid for could be rejected by the FBI (for submitting prints on the wrong form). Two months later, they call and offer to refund my money for their original mistake of not being current with federal guidelines. Makes one wonder what other rules and regs this business is unaware of. They tout themselves as being one of the few establishments in Northern California to offer old fashioned ink based fingerprinting (which is still required in some instances). "Old fashion" is the best way to describe their business model, too. Say what you will about your local police station--I'll bet they can at least keep their forms straight. read more
