Just took an original pen and ink to scan, they figured and creased the sheet. Max dpi is only 600. Not a place for serious work.

Service is fast and staff is helpful and friendly. I asked a lot of questions for different printing needs and staff was so patient to answer them. The prints are high quality. I had a few color prints and the colors are vibrant and no smudges. The prices are very good. It's a very good experience. Will be back for more printing needs! read more

I own a business and have young kids, so we have a lot of printing needs. I've always had a great experience with the customer service at Copyland, but the other day I was especially blown away by Paul. My son had an upcoming robotics competition and we had print the team's large, colorful notebook. Paul printed the file I sent but it didn't look as good as we had hoped, so he printed another copy for us. Then I accidentally left some pages at his store. He knew that my son really needed them for his competition, which was early the next day, and he immediately tried to contact me, even offering to drive the pages to our house if we needed. Davis is lucky to have a local business like this, and I can't recommend it highly enough. read more

What a fabulous place. They gave me extra help since I had trouble creating a PDF document to send to them. And, of course, it was great that they let me email to them what I needed printed in the first place, instead of having to bring it in on a thumb drive. I'm creating a template here at this very moment. But I'll say this. Having brought my projects here more often than I'll admit, I've found Paul, the owner to be a class act, and Wilson is the most focused yet easygoing staff manager I have ever met. The other staff may come and go but all of them are quite copacetic. I've overheard nearly everything done here over the years- from UC Davis readers to architect's blueprints- do there is no limit to what the staff crank out for you. Case in point: Some time ago I came in to have manuals done and Wilson made short work of them. Also, CopyLand's rates are nearly unbeatable. On top of this, their consistent friendliness and patience inspire me to be the same wherever the place. But don't take my word for it. I heard about how cheap this place is from my boyfriend and decided to get some important paperwork copied. When I handed my stack of papers to the lady, she immediately fed my papers into the copier without checking through the stack. I had packets stapled together and the staple caused the copier to jam and rip through my paperwork. Not sure if it was my job to tell her I had stapled packets...but she made a pretty amateur mistake in my opinion. I would have let this go if she was apologetic about it instead of brushing it off like she didn't make a mistake. Go elsewhere for quality work and service. read more

How did I not know about this cute little copy shop earlier?! Way better than that dingy one right at the front of downtown. I came here with a friend/club member to get copies of fliers for our club recruitment. The people were so friendly and let us email the fliers to them. The guy who helped us suggested some edits to improve the look of the flier and was just being really nice and helpful overall! It was also super cost-friendly. We printed 83 pages in total with a little over 300 fliers on them, all in color, for only $30! We were both in shock. When we came back to pick them up, they were all cut with no additional charge! A+ service. I'm coming here from now on if I need to print any fliers or posters or something! read more

The staff is awesome always willing to help out with student printing. Their pricing is better than on campus and they take debit which the print lab on campus doesn't. A 16x20 poster is just over $11 on campus it's about $12. There is parking near by and lots of restaurants. read more

True story. Tonight after work I was feeding 38 pages of information I took all day collecting into my scanner at work and, gulp, I think there was a paperclip near the back of the pile. It clogged my scanner completely and I can't get it out. Soooooo, off I go in search of another place to scan multiple pages. Kinkos will let me scan one page at a time (and send my client 38 separate pages?! I don't think so) and it will cost me on the order of $60. No, thank you. So I go over to Copyland (should have started there). Everyone in the place greets me as though I'm an old buddy of theirs, the clerk scans all 38 pages, then forwards to my email. I have received the entire bundle before he tells me, "that will be $2.89". Yes, TWO DOLLARS AND EIGHTY NINE CENTS!!!! Quite the difference from $60, no? Copyland, you're my hero!!! read more

Finally came here for the first time after reading all the reviews and now am a believer! My printer was out of ink and I needed to make 8 copies. Total? Well, I'm used to Kinkos so was expecting it to be like $10. If I was lucky. But then the cashier said 68 cents and I was like, "WHAAAA???!" It was amazing. I have been coming to Copyland for all my xerox, photocopies, need etc for the past half a year and I was never disappointed. Staff there are friendly and helpful, and they genuinely want to help the customers out. More than once they saved me from potential disasters by able to meet some stringent deadlines. Update: One year down the road, I have been throwing everything at them - booklets, readers, wedding programs, brochures, flyers etc anywhere almost always at the last minute. I've been here several times for color printing. Basically it's a great place and I'd been completely satisfied with their service and price... Today I asked an elderly male staff to print 2 copies of 3 pages of PDF (6 prints in total). He kept me waiting much longer than usual. He did just one copy, I said I needed one more. At checkout the charged amount was for 7 prints, I said I received 6, then he still charged me a little more than my past several visits. I asked him why the total price was different. He said they started to claim Service Fee since this week and that it was also a labor for him to talk with me. Though the fee was a tiny amount and I could accept his slow job and minor mistakes, I just felt frustrated to pay more for the most unsatisfied service I had ever experienced here. At least, I want to avoid this person on my next visit :( read more

I love these guys! Fast, cheap, and very personalized service. They are definitely on par with Fedex in terms of the orders they can handle, and it's nice doing business with a local store. Wilson, the manager, is super legit, friendly, and laid back. He in very knowledgeable whenever you have questions. They go out of their way to get your orders done ASAP without sacrificing quality. This is the BEST place to get your projects printed. I used to go here when I was a student at UC Davis, and when I moved away, I wasn't able to find a place that compared to the service and kindness of the individuals at Copyland. They are quick and will get you and your printing projects out the door and on your way, and they offer great guidance on print and paper quality in respect to cost. I trust them so much that I actually recently - on the way to a job interview in Sacramento (drove all the way from Santa Rosa) - stopped by Copyland to get some work samples printed instead of going to some local place or to a FedEx/Office. I budgeted a lot of time just in case, but I was done in a few minutes, and it didn't cost me an arm and a leg. It would be amazing if I could get this quality of service anywhere else. This place is just okay. Sure the prices are cheap but the guy who helped me out was extremely rude. I had to get about 30 business card size contact cards printed/lamenated and the worker kept complaining about how I had saved the file in the wrong format and how he couldn't open it right away since I use a mac. Then he lectured me on how to properly resize photos prior to coming here ( sorry that I didn't know! I've never had to print such small items before!). He talked down on me like I was incompetent. Although he did get the work done, he was very unfriendly and I will probably not go there again if he is working. read more

GREAT customer service! I went in to print an 11 x 14 poster and the worker printed a proof within minutes. It printed fine, but some photos on the poster were blurry and I realized it was my fault (I had exported a PDF incorrectly).. Instead of charging me for the faulty proof, he gave it to me FREE of charge! His logic is that he would recycle it anyways. Came back with the properly exported file and it printed out very nicely. My friend is a design student and because of such great service, she always prints her stuff here. I have heard on busy weeks, they would extend their hours just for design students! I was attending a meeting in Davis and needed a poster printed for that purpose. I've sent my pdf formatted correctly some days in advance, so that I could just pick it up when arriving in Davis. Unfortunately my poster wasn't printed at all and we had to wait for 1.5 h until it was finished. The print itself was of very good quality but it had big scratches in the ink. Also I had to pay nearly twice as much as they stated when I asked by mail. All in all I think they make high quality prints but in my case everything went wrong that could go wrong so unfortunately I cannot give more stars than three. The employees were very polite though. read more
