I always receive a good service at this office. It's small but effective. Been here for many years and never write any reviews. Today Thursday 2nd of July 2026, 12:45 pm, to returning the package, the gentlemen at the front counter provided a good customer service to everyone and very helpful . Thank you to keep a very high standard and treated all customers equally. read more

The staff is very helpful explaining how to ship overseas. The prices for the overseas and domestic packages I sent today all have tracking numbers and cost less than UPS and FedEx would charge. read more

Edit: I just sent a compliment about this location up to corporate. I hope everybody is all appreciated and given the same amount of respect ;D I just went to another post office 20 mins away (cuz it is closer to me at the moment) and it just made me feel so grateful for the post office in watt ave. Compared to the other post office, they close automatically at 4:45pm (despite being open til 5pm) and are very rude to customers. They also tend to argue with each other as well . Luckily, I only went to do self service, but the line in Fair oaks was NOT moving even after 3 minutes. By then, I had already put the package in the conveyer. But in the watt ave location, despite the area being a bit more ghetto (litter, loiters, weirdos causing issues), the staff are amazingly kind and welcoming lol. This location, watt ave, scan the items as fast as they can, answer to the best of their abilities, put up with ppl's sh*t and still is assertive while being respectful. That takes a lot of willpower. Everybody seems to get along well, they also close at 5pm but if you happen to still be in the post office b4 5pm, they will kindly help you. I JUST LOVE THE GOOD VIBES AND CUSTOMER SERVICE!! You can really tell they all work super hard and have good morale. Please give them a raise!! read more

We came in for a change of address. Received helpful and kind service from Ahmad! Super fast and easy.

Reporting this branch and the management to corporate. I went back with all the supposed correct information to get a lock changed over a month ago and nothing has happened. I believe they at purposely ignoring my request and I have reached out to corporate about this. read more

Always great service with every visit to this North Highlands Post Office on Watt Avenue. Even with a line of people waiting it seems to only take a minute before you are greeted by one of the customer service employees. The employees are always knowledgeable, helpful, and pleasant. One of the better post offices in the area and never a disappointment. read more

Fire Wendy! If I could give zero stars, I would. My parents came in today for a scheduled passport appointment, and from the moment they walked in, Wendy gave them attitude for absolutely no reason. She was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. Instead of completing their sensitive paperwork in a private office, she did it right out in the open--at the counter where people usually drop off mail--exposing their personal information, including Social Security numbers, to anyone who happened to walk in. They paid nearly $800 for this process and were treated with total disrespect. Completely unacceptable. We will never return to this location, and I strongly suggest others avoid it too unless they want their time, money, and privacy disrespected. Do better--and Fire Wendy. read more

I came here during the listed walk-in hours to get my passport and the gentleman at the counter was telling another woman that walk in hours were over even though they hadn't started yet her and I were quite frustrated because it's extremely misleading. Appointments are a month out and if I could, I would have made one. Fortunately, a very kind woman named Twynett who processes passport was able to help me and she was so sweet and efficient. The whole thing took less than 10 minutes and I was on my way. I understand the hours and the system is most likely beyond their control but as a consumer, it's extremely frustrating to follow those guidelines and rules and be turned away thankfully Twynett was able to help me and because of her, I should have my passport back in time for my honeymoon. Thank you Twynett! read more

I went to the post office to get a stamped envelope but it was closed today. Is it a holiday? I wasn't the only one to wonder that,I'm sure because there were cars in and out an people with puzzled looks their faces as they were leaving from trying to open the door up to the building. What happened today? It sure is mighty inconvenient to have to drive all the way to the UPS store for a stamped envelope. read more

Been coming to this branch to ship mails and parcels since I got in town. All the regular male employees (3 of them) were all nice and efficient. One was always chatty, one was regular chatty while one was more serious but is an observer. All three of them were always nice to transact with. There was just one instance during the holidays when they got a temp to help out. The woman was not so nice and made unnecessary comments about my package and she was loudly complaining about it too. Anyway, I know she's temporary as I didn't see her except during that Christmas holiday. Overall, this branch is always clean and waiting time was always short even during the holidays. read more

Snipes was very helpful. Give him a raise lol last post office I went to they seemed like they didn't even want to interact with me. Snipes saw I was having trouble and guided me in the right direction. Thank you! read more

Passed this location umpteen times and didn't realize I do frequent business so close to a post office, yay! Found a parking space immediately and no waiting in the service area. There were three customers and three clerks inside. Martin helped me with my transaction. I shared some information and Martin made a few shipping options based on my needs and I swiftly made a decision. Martin asked if I needed stamps or any other service before completing my transaction which was nice. I was in and out in under five minutes...how's that for a spot on Post Office experience. Thanks again for your help, Martin! read more

Employee is a very rude man. Terrible attitude terrible service. If you don't like your job don't work there. If you don't like working weekend change your schedule. I recommend using a different post office. The man working there now is a complete as*. read more

My main complaint would be office hours. Most people work 9-5 so we can't come early, and your closed when we get off. Leaving one day a week for under paid workers to try and get to the long line post office before 2 pm on a Saturday when you need to be with your children. read more

I've seen bad reviews for our north Highlands post office but it's my opinion if you treat people right they will treat you right. I have always gotten pleasant and great service EVERY time I've gone in here. Maybe you should remember when going in here that these people are SWAMPED on a daily basis so cut them a little slack. People are only human. I love my local post office. read more

I love this post office. I don't know why they have bad review I have a small online business so I go frequently. Customer service is on point, they always go out of their way to help me and others. Compared to other post offices this one is hands down my favorite. read more

the employees here are extremely rude, for absolutely no reason, it was kinda comical..

I come to this post office because that's where I live. It is really clean and tidy despite the fact that it is ghetto area. It is big and spacey. I always get helped here except the last visit. I was supposed to pick something up from there, but forgot the slip that they put in your door. So I came there and they took my address and went searching for my letter. In a minute a guy returns and states that my shit was mailed back. Can you imagine my despair? I go home finds slip, come back with it and my letter magically gets found. LAZY!!! Why Im i supposed to waist my time and gas for someone's laziness??? This is your job and please do it thoroughly! read more

I have a complaint about the postal service ,on my street, the postal person does not do his job well , he does not read the address he is delivering to ,I get other people's mail and get mine,he does not take the mail that is put out to pick up.Some one should teach how to do the job.I would just the mailed by someone who know what they doing. read more

RUDE! I went to mail an order to a new customer of baked goods and had marked the box fragile and Miss Wendy didn't give a crap about all that. She starts thumping the box all around and I said I need it to stay upright (also on the box) and she said that it won't stay that way and proceeded to SHOW me with my box how it will tumble and plop all around bc of the machine that sorts packages and talks in a tone where you would think I'm a moron. Why have us mark packages This side up and fragile if you're not going to bother to follow any type of way of way of ensuring that? read more

Worker with grey or white hair is so damn rude doesn't know how to keep his mouth shut talking about customers, him and another worker literally discriminated me by talking about how having any kind of pink they would question their masculinity, i have pink hair and i have witnessed other stuff happening to talking crap about customers In front of other customers. read more

Kind of weird how no one has posted a review on this branch but maybe because no one dares to really go on their way out to any place in North Highlands? Well here is my review: 1. I was not happy with the new regulation in having to pay to get my mailbox key for the home I just moved to. But after the Usps lady explained what ?I need to do, where I need to sign, when I will get the key- was outta there in less than 5 minutes--I didn't mind paying! It was a smooth transaction = happy camper. 2. I don't know if I'm lucky but every time I go here the lines are very quick. 3. Customer service--contrary to other post offices is excellent!! And the reason for the 5th star missing--location. I have nothing against North Highlands--I actually just moved here...but coming from Natomas I don't think I'll ever feel comfortable with the creepy people in the front where people usually park. read more

My trip today started with me returning a pair of boots. The only box I had was the one they sent me which allowed two pairs of to fit. I was going to pay $41.00 to return a $70 pair of boots. Wendy was so helpful once I told her the company was also going to charge me a 15% restocking fee. She suggested I try using the large priority box and they fit and I saved $21.00. Thanks again Wendy for going above and beyond! read more

US Post Office - Post Offices Near Me - North Highlands, California

This place need to expand, I dare not to stand in line and get some stamps. If you ever think of going here unprepared "Don't" or you will find yourself waiting in line for the next 30 mins. I always go to get my stamp else where and I make sure I have things ready before I talk to a postal clerk. I wouldn't find myself here at night with out a baseball bat or gun, because it's not to well lite and a lot of empty parking lots surrounding it. Like every post office, you are going to stand in line for awhile, so make sure you bring something to read or listen to music, or start up a conersation. Be sure to have whatever your sending out ready, that way you can get out faster. You would think they would update some post offices, well this one needs a face list and cosmetic done to it. read more

Been helped by Snipes twice now and can confirm that he goes above and beyond to help customers. The first time I was helped by him, I was very upset to hear the worker next to him be very rude to a man who didn't speak English. It was hard to hear but I was unable to help the man break a large bill and couldn't cover the cost of his package either. The man was very confused and the worker just kept raising his voice and repeating himself even though the man had no clue what he was saying. I understand how the situation could be frustrating but the worker didn't change his approach at all and it was super upsetting to overhear. Snipes immediately jumped in to help and was so kind to the customer. The situation was resolved quickly and everyone was happy. The second time I came in he was so helpful to me, a mom with a toddler in hand and helping me figure out the best was to ship and even helped me package it up. Such a kind guy and definitely someone to keep around and praise! read more

They refused to deliver my mail when though it's my house. Spoke to an ahole named Freddie Jordan who said he needed to come check. That's not your job to check my house, just do your job and deliver mail. What a pos and when i go up there, he's unavailable lol read more

If you get the short haired black lady, be prepared to get horrible customer service. It's obvious that she hates her job and apparently she thinks it's ok to take it out on the customer. I know they have to deal with a good amount of idiots on a regular basis, but that's not my problem. You want a different job? Go get one. I had a legitimate concern today and she gave me a BS answer without even making sure it was accurate information. I have documentation that shows I have a PO box here which I don't, she straight up told me that the number that's associated with that PO box doesn't match my name, but she didn't even look! Like I'm supposed to believe this grumpy employee that hates her job memorized over 2000 names. Psh. read more

Overall, my experience with this USPS has been really positive. They are efficient, affordable, and helpful. FedEx and UPS are way more expensive - I shipped packages here for less than $3 that would have been more than $8 at FedEx. The line can get kind of screwy, especially since so many people are using the counter to fix up packages and it can be hard to tell the order. People will try to cut in front of you if you're writing addresses while in line. I'd suggest looking up details/questions online and making sure you have everything ready to send (addressed, packaged) before you come in so you can get straight in line. Free envelopes are available in the front, but you must ship priority mail if you use them (meaning it's slightly more expensive). They'll also ask you a bunch of questions before mailing your package, it's a bit extra to track shipment and get insurance. If you have flammable items (like perfume) I believe you have to ship express. Last time I went in, Patty was super helpful! She was supposed to be going on break but stayed longer to help me understand and find the cheapest/best way to ship. She also brought a selection of envelopes out that were marked down so I could have some ready for next time. So shout out to her for being awesome! read more

I love this post office because the employees are the best . They are very down to earth and friendly and even will educate you on a more economical way to ship a package if one exists. I have been with n. Highland post office since 2006 and never had any major problems till lately last january i made my p.o. box payment i put payment in the office in the letter mail slot about 2 or 3 weeks later i go to get my mail and i had been locked out. When o asked about it they told me i never maid payment and now i owed 75 dollors more and that they were going to send all my mail back to senders so paid the 75 bucks ever since then all my important mail gets sent back to sender. ie; my monthly stock check, my credit card statments and now my tag renewel from DMV. All i get in my box is junk mail and a bill to pay my p.o. box! I went inside talked to a man about it and all he said was " what do you want me to do about it" i was shocked by his reply i said " hell i dont know i dont work here can you put a note on my box and tell them to quit sending it back" his reply was " so and so ( i dont remeber her name) is good at her job" and still i only get junk mail. So i advise that no one should rent a box from these idiots, they are mot helpfull in anyway they are to lazy to even do their job correctly. You should seek a better post office than this one! Because of them i have had to pay out x amount of dollors in late fees and insuffecent funds from my credit card company and my bank!. Boy cot this office cuz they SUCK!!!!! read more

I sent certified mail on Monday from Roseville to Sacramento (20 miles?), it's Friday and it still hasn't been delivered. It was very time sensitive and ended up just being a waste of valuable time. I won't use USPS again if it can be avoided. I will use Fedex or another provider. read more

Some of the counter clerks are so freakin rude. Also some of their mailmen are extremely lazy. If I wanted to have to go to the post office to pick up my mail I would have gotten a PO box. I am very disappointed with the service of USPS overall. I mailed a package on 10/08/15. I checked the tracking on 10/9/15. It stated and still does that it was delivered and picked up 15min later. It was suppose to be going to MN. I tried calling the customer service number and couldn't get thru after a waiting period of 1hr and 10 min. They said my wait was 39min to 50 min. So, I went down to the post office and talked to one of the clerks. After explaining why I was there he said that it's not suppose to be delivered until the 13th. I once again explained ( because he obviously wasn't listening) that they said it had been delivered 15 min later and picked up. He looked at me like he was on drugs. I said can't you do something for me? He walked away and came back 5 min later with a print out and then walked away. I checked the info and left. The web site and phone still says it's been delivered. I have two cases opened about this. The first cases has not even been acknowledged. The second has. read more
