Well this was an experience! Had to come here because we were advised this location managed for our business reply account. It is located what looks like a converted Hotel with several businesses inside the rooms. Thankfully there was a big sign that said Post Office here and it directed you where to go so it is on the other side where there is a main entrance. It is quite large inside with several PO boxes. The ladies inside were very nice but not with in depth knowledge beyond basic postal services. We almost had to reach out to our business contact at the main post office but after 15-20 mins finally got our transaction done. It is off of a very busy street in a super old building. read more

This is the best Post Office closed to my work. We have three Post Offices within 2-3 miles radius. Unfortunately, the closest Post office to my work is the busiest Post Office in the area! I normally drive a little farther to this one at the corner of Fulton Ave and Marconi Ave. This one has way fewer customers all the time. I think is because of the location. The Post Office is deep inside a parking lot all the way to the end and the parking lot entrance is on Marconi Ave instant-on Fulton Ave as the address shown! This office usually has only one or two windows open. But I have never seen more than 3-4 customers inside. It is way better than the one on Arden Way or the one on El Camino Ave. I normally spend less than 5 minutes in this office for the window services. Many parking available in front of this Post Office and driveway drop off is also available! read more

This is the most POS office in the area. No one picks up calls, they lose your packages. This office should be closed down. Again useless

I wish I could give them 0 stars. As of today the March 13 2023. I am waiting in the line for 45 minutes more than 4 people work here they are just hanging around. I like this funky post office. It's in a back of a weird office complex that has tenants like a Russian radio station and this odd ballroom. You have to walk all the way through the place to get to where the post office is located. It seems otherworldly and creepy, but in a fun way. I've never seen a line at the post office any time I've been there. Window clerks aren't particularly friendly but get things done with a minimum of patter. There always seems to be plenty of parking if you park in the office complex parking off of Fulton, so right of the bat it already is way ahead of most other post offices in the area. Combine that with it rarely being busy, and you have the perfect post office. read more

Visited this post office on Tuesday April 6, 2021 to pay a Post Office Box Fee for a PO Box at another branch. The lady postal employee behind the counter was not helpful and seemed to scold me for trying to pay for a PO Box at another Post Office at her post office. The other lady working behind the counter must have found it funny when I questioned why I couldn't pay at this post office, because she laughed at the situation. Besides the fact that my map took me to the wrong side of the building, this was great!! Monday before Christmas I stopped at 2 other USPS locations with lines of 20+ people. I came here last week looking for a flat rate medium priority mail box and could not find any. The guy behind the counter approached me and told me he will look at the back to get more boxes. After a few mins he came back with the box that i need. Super helpful guy! And this was after 5pm! The lady who assisted me yesterday was really nice too. I recently moved and a package was held at this post office so I could pay for the extra postage for forwarding it. There is a door with a door bell for picking up packages but clearly says something like no revenue items or whatever it says meaning things you don't pay for. I waited in long line on Saturday morning, got to the window and she said I had to go to that door I explained I had to pay she said go to the door then come back. It was quiet back there I already suspected no one was manning that door and as I expected the two workers waited til the long line was gone then came to the door to help me. I rather have packages returned to sender then go back in there. And it was difficult to locate from Fulton there is a little sign saying post office but it's back behind the office buildings. read more

I can't give them 5 stars cuz i had lost my international package from China which it suppose to be delivered by me at house but the driver at that day lost my package when there was nobody at house ! I went to this post office few times ( u know the item had to be come back again ) or ( return to the same post office at that area ) asking about my package the staff just wasted my time, by we'll call u later it passed more than one month and no one called me yet ! I tried but I couldn't find it i'm sure the DRIVER HAD LOST MY PACKAGE . Finally they told me to go online at usps.com and follow the instruction there about someone who had lost them packages . I think that it's probably pretty rare to love a post office the way I love my PO. There are the rare occasions when you'll catch an employee in a pissy mood, but generally this office has amazingly friendly staff. Not syrupy sweet friendly, as that wouldn't work given the location of the office, but a sarcastic, giving the customers shit kind of friendly. It makes a trip to the post office almost amusing. I've also found that the office is relatively empty compared to other offices. Again, there are rare occasions where I've had to wait, but generally they are quick and the line moves surprisingly fast for the size of the staff (one or two people). read more

The lady at the counter always kinda gives me a hard time. I know it's required to ask about if I have any liquids, that whole thing. I totally get it! But she asks what exactly is inside my package every single time. I go there at least once a week as I have a little candle business. Every single time she helps me, she asks exactly what's in it and I just feel as though it's unnecessary and intrusive. I understand if it's maybe suspicious but I just don't think that she needs to be asking me every single time I go what exactly is inside my package because I really don't think it's any of her business. Why didn't I come in here sooner?? For some reason I've been driving to the Broadway post office while this one is only a couple of blocks from me. I feel like such a fool!!! This is the quintessential neighborhood post office. The staff here is so friendly and they really seem to enjoy their jobs. Also, it's never crowded. Did you know that a post man/woman is not required to take your out going mail if you leave in your box at your house? My mail sits for days, waiting to be taken, But nope! I know I drive my mail to a post office out of my way to drop off mail. Most ridiculous thing I've heard! In the 2 years I've lived at my house, not once has the mail man left packages at my door. NOT ONCE. December 17th 2014, he left the first package. Stolen! The one time they leave the package, it's stolen. I have a new mail person ever month it seems. It seems a little weird to write a post office review, but I figure others are sick of the slow crappy service too so why not give a thumbs up to a good one. Even this one is usually slow to call for back up, but it's better than most. Plenty of parking and not usually busy. I always encounter a very skinny man or woman begging for change outside this location. And I ALWAYS make the same offer: "I don't carry cash but follow me down the block and I'll buy you lunch with my card." They ALWAYS turn me down. People, please don't give cash. I don't do business that much with the post office and was shocked to find that box tape was now not a courtesy to customers but a $4 charge. I was quiet upset about this as I come from a small town where this type of hospitality is normal practice. Best post office to go to hands down. I've been coming here for years but I haven't been here for quite a while as my post office is Land Park and I shamefully have been going there as it is close to my house. Well no more! I'm so glad I drove out of my way to use the Oak Park location (thanks mom for the recommendation) I parked right in front went inside there was one gentleman at the counter being helped and that's it no line!! I got up to the counter and the gentleman who helped me his name was Tim was really nice and fast. When I was finished with the transaction he quickly came out from behind the counter to open the door for me. He noticed that I was having a hard time walking (gym injury). In conclusion, 5 stars for the great service and 5 stars for Tim! I will definitely make the drive over here from now on. read more

This is the friendliest and most competent post office in Sacramento, hands down. I've mailed packages and letters at Oak Park's post office for the past year since moving from the Midwest and will take my business nowhere else. If I am on the other side of town, I will still come here to get the best service. They have bicycle AND car parking available & rarely have long lines. I am always pleasantly surprised at how customers are greeted and given immediate attention somehow when stepping through the door. I tried to mail bottles of wine back to Chicago after first moving and thank goodness I had Tim to nicely and humorously break the news to me that no, you cannot do such a thing, not even in liberal, wine-loving California. Whoops! Now I know! True to his nature though, he tried to give me all sorts of alternatives because he is a helpful and caring guy. So, if there are 2 lessons to be learned: 1-come to this post office, you will not be disappointed and 2-don't try to mail bottles of wine to other places...only wineries or online sites can do that. read more

The best post office I've ever visited, and I've \consistently used 10 different locations. Tim is fantastic, always looking to save me as much as possible, giving the options to try a flat rate or telling me to just put in a padded envelope. Quick, friendly, knowledgeable service! Never a long wait, surprisingly not too many riff raff around the premises either. I do however wish they had an APC machine in their lobby, but I can always hit up the Fort Sutter station if i REALLY need that convenience. I have been coming to this location for a while now and have to say the staff here is awesome! Always friendly and knowledgeable. Service is usually quick even when they have a line going out the tiny lobby during the holiday season. Some how they realize that though they are a government agency, customer service is still important. The only bad thing I can say about this location is that there are no vending machines when all you want to do is buy stamps. I just found out through the very rude Middle-Eastern female clerk that I've been spoiled all of my adult life with Bay Area PO's that tape and label all of your packages for you. Lady, if I'd known, then I would've saved you the trouble of basically telling me to leave and come back with the money-saving labels and proper boxes. Now happening again for 2 letters as of today. So now will contact Postal Consumer Advocate in West Sac for resolution. Love this little Oak Park post office. I have lived close by for seven years, and am glad this is where my packages go when I am not home to accept them. When I stop by to pick them up, they usually have them ready, and if not they arrange to drop them off at my house ASAP. The people that work here are kind, and the line is rarely long. It's nice to get in and out within five minutes. I frequently shop online, and have never had an issue with any of the many packages I have returned through this location. My fav guy who works there seems to know a lot of people who come in that live in Oak Park, and they know him too. Which is cool to see nowadays. read more
