The Davis post office had an incredibly long line today and their kiosk was not operational. Since we were driving out west anyway, we decided to check out this location. While it is a small town, with a small parking lot, we were able to find parking with ease. To our delight, there was no line when we showed up. Markers on the ground are placed for proper social distancing. Two very helpful employees were at the counter, behind the clear shield, again, for health and safety measures. Sadly we forgot the name of the sweetest postal worker that helped us today. If she's reading this, please know that we appreciate your outstanding customer service! I simply called to see if an item that required a signature would be available to be just pick-up instead of being delivered. Just asking due to the scheduled arrival time window on the USPS site being a time period when no one may be home. Item was not shown as being on a truck yet and I had some free time. If not, well, what next? I received a stern "No" followed by silence...lol. I replied that I was merely asking since we may not be home. I was then briefed that they cannot do this because everyone would want to and they would have a line out of the door. I agree and thank-you for that unsolicited explanation considering I have 25+ years in the logistics profession. A simple, "This is what you can do" if for some reason we missed the shipment was all I was expecting. She did explain this after further going on about "how would I know what time it was showing up" since it wasn't Express. Calm down...I'm just going off the USPS website. I imagine that having the person taking your package could indeed have a big dumb smile on his/her face, but the point of that would be lost on me. The lady took my package, told me how much it'd cost, took my money and gave me change. It would have cost me the exact same amount if a smiley person had taken it. My point is that it worked. I have nothing good to say about this place!!! My mail is ALWAYS OPENED!!! The girls at the front always have RBF's they look like they hate their jobs and they treat the customers as if they hate the world!! They are not helpful and just very rude!!! To the point that I will drive my ass to West Sacramento to go to the post office because I'm going to end up getting kicked out of that place or going to jail one day!!! I saw the girl treat an older gentleman who clearly had medical issues in an unfriendly way and sat their and argued with this man about an address she says was not there. The man told her I was just there yesterday yes it is there!!! These people need to be replaced!!!! All of them!!!! It's just going to get worse!!!! They think they rule the world read more

I read some pretty bad reviews about the service here but I had a total five star experience. I decided to give them a try any way because it's the only office that doesn't require an appointment in Solano county. In addition their passport window is open from 8:30 in the morning! I'm glad I came here despite my trepidation. The whole transaction was awesome! I needed to get my passport documents sent in today and I was greeted with no line and a friendly passport agent named Eddie. (Thank you Eddie) I walked into the post office at 9:10 and walked out at 9:20. Everything was done quick and painless and without an appointment! BEST. POST OFFICE EXPERIENCE. EVER! read more

I have lived here 11 years, through at least 6 or 7 mailpersons and we have only had 1 who consistently and efficiently delivered the mail (sadly, she left). I can't count the number of times I have called the PO to complain, and they dismiss my concerns, saying I must not have any mail. I'm not stupid-there is at least one piece of junk mail every day. Many times my neighbors have also been skipped over on the same day (we share a large mailbox with individual, locked boxes). So I highly doubt that there are that many zero-mail days for my block. Once, I was out of town for a week and filled out the form to have my mail delivered when I returned. When I got back my mail person brought two pieces of junk mail for the entire week. When I questioned her about it, she laughed and said that was all there was (all week!). So, I called the main PO in Sacramento to complain (tired of dealing with the inefficient locals who cover for each other's shoddy work) and wouldn't you know it- she showed up at my house later that day with an enormous stack of mail. Nothing you can do I guess since they have the monopoly on local delivery. This agency seriously needs to be shut down and replaced with private companies. My ups guy is the bomb. Always in uniform, never late, and he runs right up to my door with my packages. Another weird thing- my dog hates the mailperson but loves the ups guy. Dogs can tell stuff, you know? read more

Customer services is so much more than having a smile on your face. The employees at this post office have continuously provided some of the worst service I have ever experienced. They are unwilling to help, have a bad attitude, and have 0% patience. Last time I was there, the clerk was rushing the woman in front of me, telling her to that she didn't have time to answer her question because there was a line lol as if that was the customer's fault/ problem? There was a male staff, who I unfortunately did not catch the name of, who was great. The parking situation is also not ideal. It is very small and you have to drive on the side of the building, around to the back, to exit the parking lot, unless you park in the street parking. Beware! Passport service is horrible. When I arrived at the post office, the supervised was in a yelling match with one of the customers who had already been waiting 90 minutes. She was very unprofessional and condescending. At the point I decided to video the fiasco, she toned it down. Apparently, the US post office is more worried about meeting their metrics than actually serving all their customers. Passport service is not measured, but timelines for serving mail customers is. This policy leads to 8 passport customers waiting for 90 minutes while mail customers go to the head of the line. The supervisor, Angelita Daniels went to the extent to tell her teller to not process passport customers, just in case a mail customer walked in. So the passport people stood there unserved, the teller, who is passport certified, stood there arraigning her stamps and rubber bands. This is government inefficiency at its worst. PLEASE PRIVATIZE THIS PROGRAM. This is ridiculous! The good news is that I have plenty of time on my hands to write this review. After service: when we were finally helped, the gentleman at the counter was very pleasant and helpful despite the near brawl caused by the supervised earlier. It took no longer than 6 minutes to service us. They should of dedicated one of the two available tellers to passports to begin with. It was the best of service, it was the worst of service. I've had exceptional service from some personnel at this post office, but today it was the worst. The clerk I had the misfortune to be dealing with was absolutely the single most unhelpful person I've ever dealt with. I have a complicated mail forwarding problem, in which the post office is failing to forward my mail correctly. The Postal Service system for this, and/or the people they have handling it, have no answers for me. My mails getting lost in some black hole somewhere. Apparently I have to drive 200 miles to the post office in Santa Cruz to solve this problem, because the Postal Service -- or maybe just not this particular employee -- is not able or willing to help handle things over the phone. We were there to renew our passports including that of our minor child - with about a zillion other people all having the same day off to do so! Yet, this tiny post office staff just greeted all of us with a smile and helped us patiently through the process. Stupidly, we had filled out all the forms in blue ink - duh! - but completely without a hitch, the clerk simply pulled out the forms we needed to redo and smiled, saying it happens all the time! We appreciated all their help. It was nice, too, that they had the photo apparatus on site so it was all a one-stop process. read more

Hi, I Get my mail delivered late everyday and I never see any consistency not even when it comes late ?

On two different occasions I've dealt with terrible customer service. I went in to send my fiancé his fathers day package since he is overseas, the documents I needed to fill out were not available at the podium so I waited in line only to be pushed out of line by the post office employee when she could have very welll started my service while I filled out the forms. Lakeisha was completely rude and unprofessional. When speaking to a supervisor about the service I received, she laughed out loud as if she had no respect for me or her supervisor. This Post office is Awesome. I had a package missing and the Supervisor ( Charles ) not only was able to find it he personally brought it to me after the office was classed on Saturday. So my son would have it for his first soccer game. It's great to see awesome customer service. read more
