Love my local post office. Employees are both friendly and helpful, helping customers save money or sharing swiftest options to send items. I visited the other day and a customer began to be nasty towards the employee at the desk; so much so I was going to need to walk out or intervene. The employee kept her cool, the customer realized her error in what she was asking for and apologized to taking the paperwork back from the employee (but no apology for her nasty, curt tone). I was the next customer and the employee perked right up like nothing happened. Shout out to our service based heroes who endure what they shouldn't have to. read more

I've visited this Post Office quite a few times over the years, it's pretty close to my house and has a good amount of parking up front (though it can get busy). I typically stop in when I need to buy stamps or send something that requires a little extra attention or tracking. On my latest visited there was a small line of people and the person up front was friendly and helping everyone efficiently. I ended up buying a few different packs of stamps, including some very cute year of the snake stamps. I always opt for forever stamps and after making my purchase I was able to add postage to a couple of letters I had going out, put them in the box and I was on my way. The Post Office isn't always the most fun or glamourous errand, but I've had good experiences with the staff here so far and have been able to get the job done. read more

Well its been five years since my last review and we are no longer in the pandemic and no improvements. This is by far the worst post office I have ever been to. The parking lot is terrible, limited spaces, and lots of traffic. The line is ALWAYS long. I had 8 people ahead of me when I walked in at 10am on a Monday and was at least another 10 after me when I left. There are are only two cashiers which is more than I have ever seen as its usually just one. The second one was in training with a Manager? or doesn't look up to see the crowd. There was a very elderly gentlemen in a walker that had a cuckoo clock needed to be shipped. The lady couldn't even get up from her chair to hear him better or see this clock sitting on his walker below the counter. Instead she was very short with him and shooed him away pointing to boxes in the corner. He asked for help. She says, I can't. I have a line, go over there in the corner. Rude. So a few people in the line gathered the very expensive supplies and helped him pack up this box with the clock. I am sure it probably cost him more to ship than the value of the clock. Clearly understaffed but also inefficient. I know a lot of people do not have any kind of postal knowledge so they get up there with so many basic questions that take time. They need to have someone just work the line so that by the time they hit the counter, its done. They also push for the most expensive methods, not what is best for the customer. So again, I learned my lesson on why I don't come here. I will drive further to avoid this location. read more

Went to return a shipment I received after a long day of work. I was rudely greeted by a middle eastern woman named Jas. She had no patience and didn't explain anything in terms of how I can return my shipment. She rushed me asking me "what do you have then if you have no shipping label" it took me 2 second to find the address but by the time I found the address she was already very rudely telling me "I'm asking you a question". By this time I looked up at her shocked as to why she spoke to me In that tone and manner. I responded with I have an address and she said "if you don't have anything get out of the line and join when you have something ready. I returned to the line after figuring out how to put the package together. While I joined back in line she was also being rude to another customer due to Jas not liking the way the customers box was taped and made her purchase a tape and re-tape it. Fortunately the second time she wasn't the one helping me. Although this is what made me the most frustrated at the end. I noticed Jas's next customer didn't have his documents or paperwork filled out so I assumed she would make him go back to the line as she did with me. Although she spoke to him in their middle eastern language as the man was middle eastern and helped him fill out his documents. She now was being patient and helping someone fill out there documents?! Wow unbelievable... I've never felt so racially profiled in my life whilst living in California. It baffles me that we have this racially profiling person working at the USPS. It's shocking actually and I encourage anyone reading this message to attempt and ask for help or for information while being attended by her. I understand that working at a high crowd place is chaotic and stressful. Although you also need to understand that people come here 7/10 times not knowing how to ship things out due to not having to most days. It's not a repetitive cycle most humans do on a weekly basis and Jas needs to understand that. I hope her management reads this with careful review and takes proper precautions to ensure she doesn't create problems. read more

Hire better employees. Feels like interacting with robots with no capabilities of emotion or care. I asked for the cashier to tape my box a little and use 6 inches of tape, and he tells me "we don't have tape you need to buy". There is tape right beside him. First - please know my review is NOT about the 2 or 3 employees that I always pray I'll get at the counter... there's actually about 2 male employees (haven't seen them in awhile) who are always kind & helpful, and one woman who always says "Have A Blessed Day" when we're done.. I adore her & her positive attitude. But then... There's the unhappy one.... yes.. you guessed it.. "Jas". The one who's always there, and who is most definitely the soup nazi (Seinfeld) of Natomas. I empathize that she's in a miserably overworked situation with little help. But she wears her unhappiness on her sleeve. She is curt & rude to people who are not fully prepared when they get to the counter & need a little extra help, or God forbid have a question.. or the ultimate infraction - the address is incorrect.. She will shoo them away and tell them that she doesn't have time to wait for them ("No Soup For You!"). She does allow them to go to the counter when they're done, but it's the way she does it that terrifies those of us in line.. it's so quiet you can hear a pin drop.... We're like school children lined up outside the principal's office. The stress involved in going over everything in my head as I'm getting closer in line (is the address on there? Is it taped closed? Am I going to stutter when it's my turn?) IT'S TOO MUCH .. I feel like I need a drink by the time I get to my car. Last week, I asked for my small package to be mailed 1st class to a nearby city - and she flat out told me NO. I courageously read the USPS website to her where it stated "small parcels ARE ok to ship 1st class" - and she & her pursed lips weren't having it. "No parcels". End of discussion. You cannot win a battle with the Parcel Nazi... I knew it going in, but I had to at least try. I selected the "yellow so-so face" on the screen... She saw me... and I was glad she did. It was the only satisfying part of my visit. It's also kind of satisfying to look her in the eye and say, with a HUGE smile, "Have a WONDERFUL day" - because she knows it's meant to be a suggestion to improve her life. Note to Jas: Perhaps happiness is hard to come by in your life... I highly recommend letting the many customers who are ALSO facing hardships in life share some kindness with you - and you, then, reciprocate it.. it'll be worth it. I promise. In a nutshell: The lines are TOO LONG & TOO SLOW at this location, the parking is horrible - and I avoid this place when possible. :( read more

Ok, so I don't know what's in the office coffee but on two different occasions I've experienced awful customer service from two different employees. One sternly told me that I couldn't use their tape to seal my label but I had to buy it. He could've just calmly told me that. And an Indian lady rolled her eyes when I asked if I could drop off my prepaid package instead of just waiting in line. All she said was "well yeah...". Several customers witnessed this. My recent trip to the post office has really shed a lot of light on where this country is headed. I was surprised that they weren't willing to give me a piece of tape, but they had no problem offering to sell me a roll of tape for $4.00! I had tape at home... Just needed a piece of tape from the post office to get my package sent out. I'm not going to buy $4 dollars worth of tape just to get a piece. This is the most unfriendly, rude and unwelcoming post office I have ever been to. There is a black guy who sits on the left, and I want to say an indian (older) lady who sits next to him, on the right side. My guess is that they are very unhappy at their job. COVID Pre-Christmas review: Apparently, Natomas has closed the postal service locations located in their supermarkets (Bel Air and Raley's). Stamps are sold out in all supermarket/grocery stores in the surrounding area. Which means: SUPER EXTRA LONG LINES at this location!! There are only 2 clerks. The line wraps around the inside of the building. You will wait!!! And the closer it gets to Christmas, the longer the wait! It took me an hour and a half just to get stamps because they do not have a kiosk at this location for stamps. People are required to wear masks, but people still do not know how to wear one. COVER YOUR mouth and NOSE!!! How hard can wearing a mask be? My 4 year old is a pro, but adults are stupid or they don't care....hence the reason for this second shutdown. read more

I frequent the post office for business and personal reasons often and I have to say, this location has been one of the higher functioning locations. I do plan the time for the visits just in case, but I've never had to wait an outrageous amount of time. I also come for fairly simple transactions including shipping packages and purchasing materials. Efficiency has always been key in all of my visits, all of the staff are knowledgeable. I typically am in and out (for the most part). Can get very busy during the holidays so just be aware of that. read more

This office moved from Northgate location some years ago. 2 clerks most of the time. Lines are not too bad most of the time. I havent been here at all since I have another location I use now. Some clerks are nice and others grumpy. Nothing special other than it is clean due to it's not very old like other locations. read more

Can I give a zero star. I went to the post office last week to mail a package. I took the label but had to get the priority box there and get the package sealed at the USPS location. The guy (I think his name was Marion) at the counter gave me tape. I sealed the box and was putting the label on and he came running and said I wasn't supposed to use the tape to seal the box and that I wasted half his roll. I normally go to UPS store and they never make it an issue. He was quite upset. When I went to the counter, I apologized and said that I didn't know I had to buy tape or get it there. He again said that I used half of the roll. Never going back there! My tax dollars at work! read more

Terrible customer service. The older lady who works here, do not know her name, is extremely rude. Like, I understand you hate your life and your job but do not take it out on customers who did not do anything wrong or were not even rude to your pathetic ass. She rolled her eyes at me because I had a packing label on my package but I also wrote the address on the box since the label is only 4x6 and the box was huge. First, she gave me attitude and asked why I did that. Although I did not need to explain myself to her, I proceeded to explain anyway because she seemed really butthurt about it like it affected her personally. Then after my explanation, she rolled her eyes and shook her head at me. Like okay, does it affect your miserable self that I wrote the address on the box? Would you die? If not, there was no need for a rude attitude or for you to roll your eyes at me. I hope someday in the future, you find another job because customer service is def not for you and your stank ass attitude. I went into this post office and waited as to mail and important baggage. This old Indian woman who rises was absolutely rotten. Despicable human being. Disrespected several people. She had the entire line that was wrapped around inside of the building. I get to the front of the line and I needed literally one piece of tape that's it. She had an entire roll of tape she was using on her desk, however, she told me I needed to get out of line and buy an entire roll then get to the back of the line. I asked her nicely if I could use a piece of her tape and she got loud with Me and trying to embarrass me this woman needs to be stopped and reprimanded at the highest degree. Meanwhile, the post office protects their employees by making it extremely difficult for you to file a complaint. If you are looking to do so online, don't waste your time because you won't be able to submit the complaint. That woman is trash pure scum. read more

Box office hours Monday - Friday only until 530pm, seriously ?! Do they not realize people work Monday - Friday from 9-5, how the hell can we come here on time to get our mail? The lines are always long. The only one with decent customer service is Mandy. The older lady is always in a bad mood and always looks annoyed and acts inconvenienced by everything. Also when the lines are long they usually only have 1 or 2 windows open. What would help this location out is a stamp machine because multiple times there have been people in line just for stamps. read more

Usually I utilize the USPS' that are located within Bel-Air and Raley's (they usually have little to no lines). However, I recently discovered this post office conveniently located by my job. If you've read my review for Bel-Air, you probably know by now that my girlfriend and I have a business (yes it's legal) that requires us to ship merchandise on a frequent basis. The ultimate test of good customer service, is to see how staff reacts when I walk in with a cart full (my record is 33 items) of boxes ready for shipment. Upon entering the establishment, I was stared at (I'm not sure if this was a form of acknowledgement) by a clerk (let's call him Clerk #1) behind the desk. Clerk #1, along with another clerk (Michael), were busy assisting customers (I was next in line). When Clerk #1 finished with his customer, he immediately (so fast I couldn't catch his name) placed a "Please go to the next clerk" sign in his booth. Please forgive me if this guy just happened to be taking lunch or break. However, it seems ironic that after he sees my load (get your mind out of the gutter), he conveniently dashes. I've been told that I wear my feelings within my facial expressions. Maybe that's why I received GREAT customer service from Michael. Michael didn't flinch when he saw my load, and actually made engaging small talk (you and I both know that some "small talk" is better left unsaid). 20 minutes later, I was leaving the establishment with a smile on my face and a bunch of tracking numbers in hand. One bad apple doesn't always have to spoil the bunch....I will be back! read more

Located in a small business park this Post Office is easy to miss if you're not looking for it. I have to pay my rent with a money order & i absolutely REFUSE to do that at walmart. I will literally pay the $1.75 as USPS then to waste my time & energy at Walmart. Anyways, this is a super small post office. They have PO Boxes in the hall way & all the shipping materials you could need in the lobby. They were friendly & keep the line moving. read more

Amongst the small shops, take away food places, there is a real US Post Office. In this day and age where most things are done online, its nice to have that neighborhood post office! This post office is rather small, and sports an area for those that still need a PO Box for their mail delivery. There is also counter service that typically only has one - two post office workers behind the counter. Most of the time the counter service is helpful, and even occasionally polite. Generally though, this isnt the place that you'll find your friendly post office worker enjoying his/her day. Im not sure why, but this is not one of the happiest places on earth, let alone Sacramento. Regardless, Im typically there to mail something that cant be done online, and I do get to pick out the cool stamps! Yes, they still sell pretty stamps, that vary from flowers to rock n roll celebs. It just depends on an anniversary of that person etc. The office tends to keep basic office hours, closed on Saturdays, and they promptly lock the doors at 5. I pleaded once, and I am convinced my batting eyes gained me entrance at the last minute. I HAD to mail a package overseas. I like that despite the lack in personality, the lines usually arent bad, I can navigate my way through there fairly quickly, and Im not there to party, Im there to mail a letter/package and get out of there. If you already have postage, there are two large mail boxes immediately to the right of the building, and pick up happens at least once a day. If nothing else, stop in for some cool stamps! read more

This post office has the most horrible unprofessional, rude postal workers! They don't talk to you like you're a human being but act like you are unimportant and are bothering them when it's their job to help you. This place seriously needs new professional, customer-friendly workers. Please fire the people you have there and put some new friendly, professional workers in their place. I am sure USPS has had complaints about them but decide to turn a blind eye as they say. read more

There are two clerks but it doesn't get too busy here so the line goes fairly quick. They sell mailing materials such as tape and a variety of envelopes and boxes. They have the priority boxes as well. There is a table in the middle that the line wraps around so you can package and write on your package. Don't bother calling. They don't answer the phones. However, they do answer their own personal cellphones while helping a customer. read more

They have a large drop box outside that's super useful for business use. I do all my labels at home so this works great no waiting in line.
