The first thing we were told was, "We stop doing Live Scans around 6," even though it was 6:04 PM when we walked in. Stopping a service four minutes earlier and using that as a reason to turn customers away does not sound like a policy--it sounds like someone who didn't want to do their job. To make it worse, when my wife asked for clarification, Jake responded with unnecessary attitude, saying: "Oh, it's not around 6pm -- it IS 6pm." That comment was delivered with sass and zero professionalism. We were polite, respectful, and not rude in any way, yet were met with dismissiveness and irritation for simply asking for a service they advertise. If there's a strict cutoff time, that should be clearly posted and communicated professionally--not weaponized to shut people down with attitude. Customer service matters, and tonight it was completely lacking. I normally don't leave reviews, but the way my wife was spoken to compelled me to write this. Unprofessional, unhelpful, and frustrating experience. I hope management addresses this, because this interaction alone ensures we won't be returning to this location.

The item was actually still in the same box Amazon shipped it to me in, and you could even see my original delivery address on it. I was told they wouldn't accept it like that and that I would need to buy another box. I was confused because I've returned things through UPS plenty of times and have never had this happen. I normally go to the Howe Ave location, where everyone has always been helpful, but I happened to be near Truxel so I stopped here instead. I wasn't trying to argue with anyone about their policy. I just asked if one of the shipping bags could be used instead of buying another box as suggested. The employee went over and asked the manager if they could make the same type of accommodation they had apparently made for another customer before, and his response was basically, "not now." That was the part that really bothered me. The whole interaction made me feel like they just didn't want to help me or even want me there. I felt so uncomfortable that I decided I wasn't going to spend money somewhere that was making me feel that way. If the answer is no, that's fine. Just explain it to me and treat me with some kindness and respect. That's really all I was asking for. I ended up leaving without doing my return and will just continue going to the Howe Ave location. I've always had a completely different experience there. Unfortunately, after this experience, I won't be coming back to the Truxel location. I'm reading now on these yelp reviews other people having the same issue this is absolutely appalling when I'm not the only one and it keeps happening to other people!!!
