I typically stop in when I need to buy stamps or send something that requires a little extra attention or tracking. On my latest visited there was a small line of people and the person up front was friendly and helping everyone efficiently. I ended up buying a few different packs of stamps, including some very cute year of the snake stamps. I always opt for forever stamps and after making my purchase I was able to add postage to a couple of letters I had going out, put them in the box and I was on my way. The Post Office isn't always the most fun or glamourous errand, but I've had good experiences with the staff here so far and have been able to get the job done.

I genuinely don't understand why they have a phone number listed if they don't bother answering it. I have repeatedly tried calling this location because I needed to speak with someone, and I have not been able to get through. The call either rings and eventually disconnects, or, toward the end of the call, it sounds like someone picks up and immediately hangs up, causing the call to end. I have tried calling multiple times and still cannot get anyone to answer. This is incredibly frustrating and extremely poor customer service. Customers should be able to reach a location when they need assistance, especially when USPS Customer Service specifically directs them to call that location.

I went here to mail a gift for my Aunt's Birthday in December on the East Coast. I had it packaged up in an old Amazon mailer all taped up and they accepted it as proper mailing packaging. I asked for the cheapest method of mailing (Ground Advantage and it comes insured and with tracking) and it would get there in 5-7 days, which was perfect. She doesn't need it till the 2nd week of December. With the holiday rush starting in November I thought I would get it out early. The holiday rush won't guarantee anything on time. Parking is pretty good. They have a small lot to the right of the post office. It used to be to the left, but they made some changes. I've been lucky by going off peak hours and have always gotten a spot. If it's packed you can always park in the Raley's Parking lot and walk across the cross walk right in front of the Post Office. If you are just dropping off a letter there is a blue mailbox out front. If you need to rent a mailbox they have them available here. You can either pay by them month in person or you can put it on auto draft.

It provides envelopes, boxes, stamps and cards for purchase, and it took care of my needs to get a letter out quickly. The post office is not really identified on front of the building, of which sits on 7th and J Streets downtown, just east of Downtown Commons. Just walk through the double doors, and straight to the back to go through another set of doors into the post office.

I honestly had such an uncomfortable experience at this UPS Store on Truxel that I ended up just…read moreleaving. I came in for a simple Amazon return. The item was actually still in the same box Amazon shipped it to me in, and you could even see my original delivery address on it. I was told they wouldn't accept it like that and that I would need to buy another box. I was confused because I've returned things through UPS plenty of times and have never had this happen. I normally go to the Howe Ave location, where everyone has always been helpful, but I happened to be near Truxel so I stopped here instead. I wasn't trying to argue with anyone about their policy. I just asked if one of the shipping bags could be used instead of buying another box as suggested. The employee went over and asked the manager if they could make the same type of accommodation they had apparently made for another customer before, and his response was basically, "not now." That was the part that really bothered me. The whole interaction made me feel like they just didn't want to help me or even want me there. I felt so uncomfortable that I decided I wasn't going to spend money somewhere that was making me feel that way. If the answer is no, that's fine. Just explain it to me and treat me with some kindness and respect. That's really all I was asking for. I ended up leaving without doing my return and will just continue going to the Howe Ave location. I've always had a completely different experience there. Unfortunately, after this experience, I won't be coming back to the Truxel location. But who's counting! The gentleman who answered was very helpful & very precise in taking all of my information. He assured me that they would most likely find my package, they usually did. Very frustrating experience with the notary at this UPS Store. My boyfriend and I were specifically…read moretold NOT to sign anything yet, and the notary (Emilee) instructed us exactly WHERE to sign. We followed her instructions, but a required signature on the last page was missed. Our HR rejected the document because of the missing signature. When I contacted the store, the manager said they were not responsible for the signatures. However, we relied on the notary's instructions and could not have signed that section without the notary present. Now we have to go back and get the document corrected, with no guarantee they will redo it for free or refund what we already paid. The manager said he has to look at it to make sure they weren't at fault. Very disappointing, especially since this could have been caught during the original notarization.
