I usually go to the another two post offices in the area. But this one is close to where I have to go on the day. So I went there to ship out two packages. It took me much longer than what I expected with only four customers in front of me! The reason they have only one clerk working behind the counter! The location of this post office is convenient, but a little harder to found if you do not already know they are on the back of all the buildings! Post office boxes are also available in this location. Parking is easy even the parking lot is not very clean! I don't know I really want to use this location in the winter when sunset is early because like what I said. This post office is behind all the buildings!

    Rico gets triggered

Really hope for Rico he finally is encouraged to seek some sort of phschological help. Seems to get triggered really fast and excellerate his authority - which in part does not exist. Be careful at this post office Rico can get excited very quickly and be a tyrant. It's just thats the way he was brought up and just needs help

I really like the USPS Centre Branch office. It's my local post office and since it's a bit out of the way (hidden behind a big shopping center) it's not perpetually packed to the gills. The employees there are pretty nice and kinda goofy, I'll usually crack a joke with them while at the counter. Dear postal employees: I know you're a small branch and you're understaffed, and please know that I appreciate all your hard work (and thank you for not snarling at me when I walk in 10 minutes before close with massive tote bags full of eBay packages to ship!) If there's one thing I'd change about this USPS location, I'd add an Automated Postal Center machine. Those machines are damned handy, and I'd rather drive across the street than drive 10 minutes to the closest PO with one.

Our regular male carrier is wonderful. She is so careful with the mail and checks and make sure we don't have any outgoing. She is great. But every single time she leaves to go on vacation or takes a day off whoever substitutes for her is the worst. Yesterday, the mail carrier hands me the mail in my hand because we were sitting outside. I am sitting with my friend who lives two houses down and I have her mail in my hand. So I give her her mail and I tried to catch up with the male carrier who is already a few houses down, but he can't hear me because he has earphones on. When I finally catch up to him to let him know that he gave me the wrong mail, and where is my mail, he just looks at me" oh yeah, one house didn't have mail today so I just got turned around." that's his response. Not oh sorry let me go check on that or anything else. No he turns around and keeps delivering the mail so I'm not sure if anybody got their mail yesterday or if we all have someone else's mail because he got turned around because one house didn't have the mail? He absolutely did not care, and did not make any initiative to fix this. So I'm not sure if somebody else got my mail yesterday I didn't. So then I tried to call the Arden post office today to talk to the manager and let him know this is going on. No luck you can call there 20 times nobody will answer the phone. I will probably have to make my way over there in person, but honestly, I don't think it will help. The postal people have one job to do, and in the case of the mail carrier. It's to make sure they're giving you the right mail. It's not OK that the day your regular carrier goes on vacation everyone's mail gets delivered wrong. It is tax season, I also run a business and I don't need to have my mail all over the neighborhood . I'm sure other people don't either.

I normally drive a little farther to this one at the corner of Fulton Ave and Marconi Ave. This one has way fewer customers all the time. I think is because of the location. This office usually has only one or two windows open. But I have never seen more than 3-4 customers inside. It is way better than the one on Arden Way or the one on El Camino Ave. I normally spend less than 5 minutes in this office for the window services. I normally bring in multiple small packages at a time, and I've always tried to be respectful, patient, and understanding of how busy postal work can be. I don't usually leave reviews, but I felt it was important to share my experience in hopes it helps improve things. There is a blonde woman who often wears a ponytail with glasses who often works near the pickup window/door, and on three separate occasions--spread out over months--she has made me feel very uncomfortable when dropping off my packages. Each time, as I place my orders on the drop-off counter, she sighs loudly, rolls her eyes, or looks annoyed. I always apologize and try to be considerate, but the reaction still makes me feel like I'm doing something wrong just by dropping off my shipments. I completely understand that long days and constant customer flow can be tiring. We're all human, and we all get frustrated. But as customers, especially those who come frequently and are always respectful, we shouldn't be made to feel like an inconvenience. This is part of the service the post office provides, and I'm simply doing what I'm supposed to do as a shipper. I truly hope she (or management) sees this and takes it as constructive feedback. I'm not upset, just hoping for a little more professionalism and kindness. A small attitude shift goes a long way, especially in a community postal office where many of us come weekly or even daily. I'd hate for other customers to feel the way I've felt during these interactions. Other than this repeated issue, the rest of the staff has always been helpful and kind!! I just hope this concern is taken seriously so everyone can feel comfortable coming here.

This lady who seemed to be a supervisor wearing a green shirt practically closed a little window in my face while I was asking a question. I just thought that was incredibly rude. He was trying to answer my question fine and I don't think she had to slam the door in my face like that.

I happen to be on the way to dinner in Carmichael when I remembered I needed to mail a very special birthday card to Germany. The thing is I wanted to mail it first class, of course, but did not know how much postage would be required. So I could not plaster a bunch of stamps on the envelope and hoped it arrived there!:-) Basically I needed to stand in line and have the employee do his/her thing to get it mailed. Ugh! I rarely have any reason to physically walk into a post office at all. Especially during the holidaze:) Anyway... I suddenly remembered this location and I actually had the letter with me... so what the heck. I was literally a mile away when the light bulb went on. Miracles do happen. It was about 4:15 p.m., and there were only 4 peeps in line. That would never happen in El Dorado Hills. At anytime of the day. So I was thrilled. While waiting my turn, I started looking around and noticed a lot of very tasteful Christmas decor... It brought me to a peaceful moment and I instantly went from uptight and impatient to grateful and happy for that sweet little post office. They really took the time to "deck the halls". By the time it was my turn at the counter... I was in chill mode:) The employee had my letter post marked and into the bin in under 2 minutes. So thank you, Carmichael post office employees, for taking the time to bring some Christmas joy to your patrons and community. Much appreciated. Merry, merry!

This is none other than the Carmichael "US Post Office" that is located directly on Fair Oaks Blvd and adjacent to Carmichael Park. Since I have lived around this area throughout the years, it has been my go-to post office. I will say that the parking lot is quite spacious but the building itself is very outdated. Think of it as being a blast-to-the-past with floor tiling that is from the 1970s/80s and aside from the digital stamp kiosks, this building hasn't seen a whole lot of upgrades in decades. I came here during the afternoon of Saturday 10/18/2025 at around 1:00pm as I had to mail out a certified letter out of state. It was roughly a 15-minute wait as there were 3 postal employees working behind the counter. Once it was my turn, I paid the postage fees and was done in just a few minutes. This post office also has standard hours of operation being open weekdays from 10am-5pm, Saturdays from 10am-2pm, and closed on Sundays. In addition to their customer service area, they sell various mailing envelopes, boxes, and even a nice assortment of Hallmark greeting cards. And if you don't need to buy stamps from an employee, they sell them in the main front entrance lobby area. They also have several blue US mailboxes for standard letters at the exterior parking area. Again, the Carmichael "US Post Office" is a hit or miss. But in this day in age where everything seems to be going digital, I don't see myself frequenting this place that much anymore. My review, just an average three star rating.
