I've been obsessed with this coffee shop for a while now. I used to go to the location closer to ditmars, during the summer it's the best place to hangout at. They have whole outdoor area with plenty of tables. I moved to broadway and lately I find myself going to Under pressure on 31st. I go there 3-4 times a week. I know! I'm literally always craving it. The prices are very affordable, for a large latte with oatmilk, it's only $6-7 which is unbeatable especially with the quality and the flavor. Sandwiches and salads are very delicious and also affordable. My favorite is the turkey and cheese multigrain croissant for $6 and the caesar salad is $12. This is such a hip spot, I've never seen it empty, it says something about the business. The only downside is, sometimes it's hard to find a table if you wanna sit and hangout but even if you just grab and go, You can never go wrong. It's just that, You feel so at home when you're in that beautiful spot. The staff's always very friendly and polite as well. Needless to say, I love this place!! It always make my day brighter when I come to this magical spot

Pros: I visited to try the cold brew coffee, which was decent. The café offers a wide variety of beverages, along with pastries and sandwiches. The space is bright & had high ceilings, with plenty of natural light & a good number of table availabilities. Service was also pretty fast, and the space overall was clean and well-maintained! Cons: The music was quite loud, giving me more of a club vibe rather than a coffee shop where you can work from home. The tables were also spaced fairly close together, which made the space feel a bit cramped. I wouldn't recommend this place for those working from home & needing to take meeting calls, since the music is played on the louder side!

Came here with the Greek homie, and I didn't know how Greek he was until he started speaking Greek at the counter. Beast. We had just eaten a huge meal, and came in here as he was picking up a Greek pastry for his girl. At this point, I see one of my only known weaknesses: a white chocolate macadamia cookie. I don't have a big sweet tooth, but white chocolate macadamia cookies are just built so different. They are not like the other cookies. After having a major W and only getting a Freddo Espresso ($5), the white chocolate macadamia pressure began to set in. I began internally try and talk myself out of it. "Pressure is for tires. I don't need this cookie" ... "No pressure, no diamond. Who do you want to be J?" When our coffees came and there was no line, I folded like a lawn chair. I went up to the counter and bought the damn cookie. It was so damn good. The Devil won this round. I truly understand why they named this place Under Pressure Coffee. 4 stars though cuz it was lowkey expensive in here. IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov_reviews

This is a cute coffee pastry shop with plenty of options. They have seating with great lighting right on the corner. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. It is well worth the visit and prices are very reasonable.

Custard Cream Croissant w/Salted Butterscotch Cold Brew

Needed a fun breakfast on rainy morning so ended up ordering a croissant and cold brew from Under Pressure via DoorDash. The croissant was filled with a custard cream and had butterscotch syrup drizzled over the top. It was amazing and I highly recommend. The cold brew was good although a little heavy on the pumpkin spice syrup for my taste. That being said, I think most people like it being heavy on the syrup and I know that's the risk I take when ordering it. Would get again but just skip the syrup next time. I haven't been inside here before but have walked by often it seems like a pretty popular gathering spot.

Ate here today for lunch and a bit of dinner trying this place out. I had brought the brunch brioche ham, egg and cheese after work as a substitute paraprofessional at P.S. 234 Q with a small iced berry tea. It had tasted superb and delicious. The service was also attentive and friendly. The ambiance was definitely relaxing, calming and not too loud. I couldn't agree more. Finally, I would definitely eat and come back again next time! :D

Greek Frappe 24oz + Freddo Cappuccino

New cafe in Astoria! It has all the best drinks you can find at any greek cafe. We loved the classics - freddo cappuccino and freddo espresso! We also tried the greek frappe! The drinks are perfect for a hot day! They have a lot of indoor and outdoor table seating. This place is definitely popular with people seated at all hours; however, there is a lot of turnover so we didn't have any issues finding a seat!

bougatsa and olive oil citrus cake

I have gotten TGTG bags from the Whitestone location numerous times but this was my first time purchasing items off the menu. The cashier was nice and took my order quickly. We found a small table and enjoyed the sweets. The bougatsa was delicious. Nice crunchy crust and the cream filling was not too sweet. Not as good as the ones in Greece but close. The Freddo mocha was beautiful and tasted phenomenal. Love that it was rich and chocolaty without being overly sweet. Will def be back for more.

Koulouri filled with olives and tomato

My favorite Koulouri with tomato and olives, beautiful pastry dough shaped like a circle, filled with kalamata olives and tomato paste. The only thing missing here is a side of salad. Very savory, flaky, buttery just perfect in every bite.

The matcha drinks aren't very good - I've been here twice with my friends and we noticed they were a bit watered down and not flavored well

They raised their prices on the beans, but they are really good so it might be worth it. Coffee in house is delish and the food is good too!

The coffee is excellent - I believe it's roasted by devocion. I also love how they serve their coffee in glass/ceramic cups and glasses for those dining in. I usually will get the healthy start - I love their dressing and the eggs are always seasoned perfectly. The staff are nice but can seem a little stressed when things get busy. They have a table to pickup preorders so you don't have to wait in the main line. I ordered a dozen for $39. You can select your assortment. Here's my review in order from the best to the least desirable, according to our group. Vanilla custard- the filling was thick and speckled with vanilla beans. It wasn't too sweet. This was the best according to our group. Strawberry filled- this is most traditional and Breads Bakery does a nice job. The jam is homemade. Pistachio- this doughnut was filled with smooth pistachio cream and was topped with a few pieces of pistachio. Not traditional, but they did a good job. Chocolate- the filling tasted like a semisweet or bittersweet cream/custard. Like the others, it was smooth. The vanilla was more popular among our group and I personally didn't love this doughnut. Mango- this was the one that those in my group felt missed the mark. It wasn't cloyingly sweet, so that was good, but the filling didn't do anything for us either. If you're looking for a mango dessert the one at Lysée is a real winner.

When I moved to the UES, I was worried finding a new local roaster. I've had bad experiences where the beans are too oily or something is off that messes with my usually grind size/extraction time. No issues with Oslo's beans. 2. They actually know how to make a proper americano. Every coffee shop takes a standard cup, puts in the espresso shot, and then fills hot water to the brim of the cup. This destroys the flavor of the espresso. You end up with hot water that tastes slightly like coffee. Oslo chooses quality over quantity. They don't fill the water up to the brim, so you have a cup with 2/3 of liquid; however, this is a proper americano. You can taste the difference. At other shops, I just get drip coffee because they don't know what they're doing. Oslo knows what they're doing. That's why I come here.

We were a little late for our reservation, and they gave our table away, which was quite annoying. However, the service, hospitality, and food more than made up for it. Someone came over to apologize for the mix up and offered us complimentary white wine while we waited for another table to open up. The wine was delicious! When we were finally seated, we started with some drinks. I got the Speranza, and it was light, fresh, and delicious! We were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary bread basket brought to the table, as it's a rarity in nyc these days. We split a burrata amongst the table. Loved the addition of figs. I ordered the rigatoni all'aragosta for my dish, which was beautifully presented and tasted even better than it looked. There was a decent portion of lobster in the dish, and I couldn't even finish all of it, I was so full. One of the best pasta dishes I've had in a while. My friends ordered the bolognese and the fettuccine alla nerano, and they enjoyed their dishes as well! We skipped dessert this time, but I would definitely be back for it. I also want to try the paccheri next time, as well as their coffee shop in the mornings! Overall, a well executed restaurant with great ambience (would be great for a date night with the dim lighting and ability to hear each other speak). They just need to get a bigger dining room so they can seat more parties because they always seem to be booked full!

Unfortunately, it was totally bland and not large at all. The side sauce added nothing and over 30$ with tax/tip. For entrees, we shared the lobster pasta and the guazzetto di Pesci. The pasta was good. Reasonable amount of pasta but we would have liked some more chunks of lobster for the price. I thought the sauce was only ok but my girlfriend liked it. The guazzetto di Pesci was only fair. The sauce was lacking flavor. Also a very small bowl of broth with maybe 3 small shrimp and muscles, a few small chunks of fish. and two sad, tiny pieces of bread on the side. Since we were still quite hungry after the meal, we ordered the lotus chocolate caramel dessert. This was the only dish we really liked. kinda hard to mess up gelato though. It came with a hard outer candy shell and a very small cookie center that was sweet and delicious. Overall, an average meal at best that we both felt was lacking in taste and size. Won't return.
