I've been obsessed with this coffee shop for a while now. I used to go to the location closer to ditmars, during the summer it's the best place to hangout at. They have whole outdoor area with plenty of tables. I moved to broadway and lately I find myself going to Under pressure on 31st. I go there 3-4 times a week. I know! I'm literally always craving it. The prices are very affordable, for a large latte with oatmilk, it's only $6-7 which is unbeatable especially with the quality and the flavor. Sandwiches and salads are very delicious and also affordable. My favorite is the turkey and cheese multigrain croissant for $6 and the caesar salad is $12. This is such a hip spot, I've never seen it empty, it says something about the business. The only downside is, sometimes it's hard to find a table if you wanna sit and hangout but even if you just grab and go, You can never go wrong. It's just that, You feel so at home when you're in that beautiful spot. The staff's always very friendly and polite as well. Needless to say, I love this place!! It always make my day brighter when I come to this magical spot

Pros: I visited to try the cold brew coffee, which was decent. The café offers a wide variety of beverages, along with pastries and sandwiches. The space is bright & had high ceilings, with plenty of natural light & a good number of table availabilities. Service was also pretty fast, and the space overall was clean and well-maintained! Cons: The music was quite loud, giving me more of a club vibe rather than a coffee shop where you can work from home. The tables were also spaced fairly close together, which made the space feel a bit cramped. I wouldn't recommend this place for those working from home & needing to take meeting calls, since the music is played on the louder side!

Came here with the Greek homie, and I didn't know how Greek he was until he started speaking Greek at the counter. Beast. We had just eaten a huge meal, and came in here as he was picking up a Greek pastry for his girl. At this point, I see one of my only known weaknesses: a white chocolate macadamia cookie. I don't have a big sweet tooth, but white chocolate macadamia cookies are just built so different. They are not like the other cookies. After having a major W and only getting a Freddo Espresso ($5), the white chocolate macadamia pressure began to set in. I began internally try and talk myself out of it. "Pressure is for tires. I don't need this cookie" ... "No pressure, no diamond. Who do you want to be J?" When our coffees came and there was no line, I folded like a lawn chair. I went up to the counter and bought the damn cookie. It was so damn good. The Devil won this round. I truly understand why they named this place Under Pressure Coffee. 4 stars though cuz it was lowkey expensive in here. IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov_reviews

This is a cute coffee pastry shop with plenty of options. They have seating with great lighting right on the corner. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. It is well worth the visit and prices are very reasonable.

Custard Cream Croissant w/Salted Butterscotch Cold Brew

Needed a fun breakfast on rainy morning so ended up ordering a croissant and cold brew from Under Pressure via DoorDash. The croissant was filled with a custard cream and had butterscotch syrup drizzled over the top. It was amazing and I highly recommend. The cold brew was good although a little heavy on the pumpkin spice syrup for my taste. That being said, I think most people like it being heavy on the syrup and I know that's the risk I take when ordering it. Would get again but just skip the syrup next time. I haven't been inside here before but have walked by often it seems like a pretty popular gathering spot.

Ate here today for lunch and a bit of dinner trying this place out. I had brought the brunch brioche ham, egg and cheese after work as a substitute paraprofessional at P.S. 234 Q with a small iced berry tea. It had tasted superb and delicious. The service was also attentive and friendly. The ambiance was definitely relaxing, calming and not too loud. I couldn't agree more. Finally, I would definitely eat and come back again next time! :D

Greek Frappe 24oz + Freddo Cappuccino

New cafe in Astoria! It has all the best drinks you can find at any greek cafe. We loved the classics - freddo cappuccino and freddo espresso! We also tried the greek frappe! The drinks are perfect for a hot day! They have a lot of indoor and outdoor table seating. This place is definitely popular with people seated at all hours; however, there is a lot of turnover so we didn't have any issues finding a seat!

bougatsa and olive oil citrus cake

I have gotten TGTG bags from the Whitestone location numerous times but this was my first time purchasing items off the menu. The cashier was nice and took my order quickly. We found a small table and enjoyed the sweets. The bougatsa was delicious. Nice crunchy crust and the cream filling was not too sweet. Not as good as the ones in Greece but close. The Freddo mocha was beautiful and tasted phenomenal. Love that it was rich and chocolaty without being overly sweet. Will def be back for more.

Koulouri filled with olives and tomato

My favorite Koulouri with tomato and olives, beautiful pastry dough shaped like a circle, filled with kalamata olives and tomato paste. The only thing missing here is a side of salad. Very savory, flaky, buttery just perfect in every bite.

We had our own dedicated server, which made everything feel really seamless. They kept our drinks flowing the entire time, and it was a huge plus not having to flag anyone down. For food, I ordered the chicken sandwich and it was delicious. The coleslaw on it added great flavor (honestly, I just wish there was a bit more of it). It came with fries that were perfectly crispy--exactly how fries should be. Overall, I had a really enjoyable time. If I'm ever back in the neighborhood or if anyone asks me for a good brunch spot for groups, I'd definitely recommend this place.

My partner started off with a bloody mary which he thoroughly enjoyed (and considered opting for a bottomless brunch option until i reminded him that he drove here). I got the lemon ricotta pancakes which was pleasantly sweet, without the drizzle being too overpowering. The fresh fruits complimented the fluffy stacks of pancakes and was perfect for a light meal. My partner on the other hand, was famished and ordered the steak and eggs which he happily devoured. Service was great, our server was very attentive and never had us wait. I would highly recommend coming here for brunch!

I got the crispy chicken and gravy with the mac and cheese and mexican street corn and there is literally not a single complaint. My mom also got the crispy chicken and mac and cheese but she got the tater tots and they had a nice flavor and were crispy but not burnt (EXACTLY how she ordered them). My sister got the bedrock pancakes and while they looked way too sweet for me she LOVED them. We also got the Nutella Ella Ella Aye milkshake and it looked so good and tasted even better. The second time, we had to deal with stupid bouncers or security guards before being let into their bar/pub. That's a huge turnoff for me, and it's only worth it for strip clubs and concerts. Sweet Afton is a hip Irish-style pub known for its craft cocktails, extensive beer selection, and upscale pub fare. It has a cozy interior with exposed brick and a sought-after outdoor garden area that is enclosed in the winter.  A few of their menu items include "Astoria's best burger" (using Pat LaFrieda beef), the Dirty Pickle Martini (featuring McClure's pickle juice), and beer-battered fried pickles. I learned that they have a sister pub called the Bonnie in Ditmars, which I have been to and had a great time. Last Saturday I came back for a third time. I was surprised at how things had changed; much more laid-back, with good customer service, good vibes, and one of the most delicious bar burgers I have ever eaten, with a side salad, in any pub or establishment in Queens. Furthermore, Sweet Afron had some nice alternatives to bear and larger, and I selected a cider instead. First, I was offered a sip, and then, upon my approval, a full glass of cider. In conclusion, I do plan to return!

We stopped here for breakfast while staying in Long Island City and I had a rather lackluster…read moreexperience. It's a small cafe with limited seating. They have a giant menu posted on the wall to peruse. When we approached the counter to order, the person manning the register basically ignored us. When she finally acknowledged us to place our order, the interaction was taciturn and curt - no niceties. I ordered the single order pan-fried pancake ($8, but closer to $11 after tax). The menu states a choice between beef, pork, and chicken, but we were only given the choice between beef and chicken. The cashier also gave us a choice between spicy potato or pork floss (I opted for the pork floss), which was not denoted in the menu description. The menu does say it comes with veg, but what they really mean is lettuce/salad. The menu picture online is also misleading because it says it comes with an egg, and displays both a soft-boiled egg and beautiful runny egg cascading over the pancake. Instead, the only egg that was served was one overcooked fried egg (not runny at all!), and it was cold (but more on that later). The quoted wait time for the food was 20 minutes. There's a little station near the counter to grab napkins, silverware, and water. Around 9:30am on a Friday, several tables were filled, but no one had any food (the cafe opened at 9am, so I suppose the kitchen was still ramping up). My friends and I ordered variations of the same dish (the pan-fried pancake), but the dishes were served in reverse order - the person who ordered last got their dish first and vice versa. When one order is more complex than another, it's understandable when the easier/quicker one is served first. Since we all ordered nearly the same dish, this was not the case. The way things were being expedited was not efficient. When they finally called my name, I was excited to dig in, but the dish was cold! The beef was cold, the pancake was cold, the egg was cold and overcooked... I had half a mind to send it back. I'm guessing my order was ready earlier, but it must've sat there because someone forgot about it. Now technically, there are cold elements in the dish, if you count the lettuce and dressing, but there's no reason why the pancake, egg, and beef were all cold... they weren't warm, they didn't retain any heat, they were cold. They were also skimpy on the beef. The only redeeming qualities of the dish were that, fortunately, the pancake was still crispy, albeit cold and greasy, and the pork floss is a delicacy that gave the pancake a little extra oomph of flavor and texture. My friend ordered the Wake Up Combo ($14), which is the pan-fried pancake served with a soy milk and tea egg. Similar to my own egg experience, the tea egg was disappointingly overcooked (think hard-boiled) and not jammy like the picture at all. We all have bad days, so maybe Morning Brunch & Cafe was having one... but this is a skip for me.

The prices were bad here but the service and the food weren't great. When we arrived, we were scoping out the menu, they had it posted in a lot of places but it was kind of confusing. I did like how you could scan a QR code and when you clicked on an item, it was more descriptive of the add-on options or potential meat options. There are approximately 10-13 seats, so not great for a massive party, but good for a small outing or for take out. I saw a decent amount of delivery people come in to do pick ups. My friends and I were ordering and were curtly treated by one of the employees. I ordered the fried vegetable pancake with them since you couldn't order the QR code on the tables. She told me the options of only beef and chicken. I thought pork would've been an option and then she mumbled about the options for the additional topping. I couldn't understand her when she said pork floss, so I ordered spicy potatoes. The food also came out kind of sad and was slow to come out. The order was all wrong as I ordered last and then was delivered my dish first. It was kind of sad because I didn't even realize you should be able to pick up the pancake. It was hard to eat because it kept crumbling apart due to the pan fried falky pancake was a thin layer what just felt like crust. I was imagining more like a scallion pancake with vegetables infused or stuffed in. It also came out cold, and could have used a bit more flavor like a sauce or soy sauce. The spicy potatoe tasted a little undercooked as well. My friend ordered hers with pork floss instead and that tasted a little better. The dish also came with a supposed to be overeasy egg that is supposed to be runny, but was a bit overcooked.
